I haven't had a chance to shoot one with a scope and without a scope I'd say the gun could shoot better groups than i could hold. Maybe someone else watching the video could answer that.

Just sold my mini 14 biggest piece of crap I've ever owned. Groups weren't tight a 100 anything ove 100 might as well forget it. Wouldn't recomend those to anyone. Ill stick with the ol 700 killin deer with it for 20 years never failed.

@rwilliams160 I love my Mini-14, but I can agree with that, it's not the most accurate thing ever, but it's an M1 type action in a caliber that does more than .30 carbine. Thats why I like it. It's not much of a marksmans rifle, even the adjustable compensated version they just put out does not do much for it.

well, just because your using a .30, it doesn't mean it'll have that effect. good shot placement. and an average 55gr .223 should have no prob dropping a javelina....not to menchion the heavier 69,70gr etc bullets available... id definatley get the 223

did anyone ever teach you how to shoot a gun? your leaning back way to far, a good stance is vital to accuracy and the recoil will affect you more when your leaned back like that.

Um, I can tell that I you Guys dont Know how to shoot a Bolt action. When you are shooting you dont lift your had after taking a shot, it takes to long to reaqure your shot. any good marksmen knows that. but nice video anyways.

Nice vid. I just got my 1500 in .308. Scope adjustments are a bit tight, but that could just be cause its so new. What kind of groups do you get with the .30-06?

Well I'm not a professional but at 100 yards I can keep 1 moa pretty easy. I shot a half dollar at 100 yards .30 inch off of center first try. This was after sighting in on a target.

It's the Howa M-1500. Thanks for the complement though, I like to think it could be used as a Marine Corp sniper rifle. Actually i was thinking of getting the Remington 700(civilian M-40) but this gun was the same price and actually came with a very nice scope. I've been told and have read that it actually shoots .2 MOA tighter than a 700. It's a sweet gun no doubt.

Oh man i love it! Crystal clear! I have a friend that specializes in optics and he couldn't believe how clear the optics were. The clarity even at the 10x's is solid. oh and once you set the sight in you never need to touch it again 5 star for sure.
