@Perfection53 Gothic Rock isn't loud or heavy at all. The Goth subculture is more about melancholy, romantic poetic dark lyrics, and bleak atmospheres. Goth has its origins in punk and basically took that sound and made it more about the mood than the speed. Pretty much, take Draconian, speed up the tempo a little bit, and replace the loud guitars with creepy keyboard sounds. There ya go.

Technically Draconian is termed as Gothic Doom metal, due to their Doom song structure with a heavy amount of Gothic influence in the lyrics. Just letting you know F.Y.I. If you're interested in looking up other Gothic metal bands, I HIGHLY recommend Theatre of Tragedy, if you have not heard of them already. Their album, Aegis, blows me away, along with the rest of their older material. They kind of went down hill since the 2000's if you ask me, but it's not bad.

Draconian might just be my heroine. I mean, when you use heroine, 9/10 shots, you only do to keep the drug sickness away, and maybe 1/10 (or less) are used to actually give the thrill.

To me, Draconian is just like that. 9/10 times, I listen to them, is just to kick the abstinence.

If you can get addicted on a band, than I'm guaranteed addicted to Draconian.

hell yeah, after being a little depressed knowing that Dani will never have his voice back and will forever suck live, I found Draconian and the sad music actually cheered me up :P

love both bands, listen to their music depending on what mood I'm in, Cradle is arguably angrier and faster, drac more slow, sorrowful
