Why? COB is one of my favorite bands, hell my only upload is a song from Follow the Reaper. But this misconception that Alexi is the best guitarist ever is kinda stupid. He makes good music, although the past 3 (and the new album) have been large steps down from Something Wild, Hatebreeder, FTR and even their demo Shining. He just isn't that amazing (including live). Just my opinion.

What list is that? I would agree he should be on the list, but he isn't mind blowing like some people say. And for that list, where was it from? Well, you obviously don't know about the thousands and thousands of guitar clinics he has done. And the very, very popular guitar lesson DVDs he has out (for many years). In terms of people taught and people who have heard/enjoyed his music, I would say Michael Angelo Batio has done much much more than Cobain could ever hope for. But then again, MAB does have the advantage of still having his brains contained within his skull.
