Man Steve Blum is just a badass. The dude made my childhood with all his work in toonami and old school animes back in the day like Big O, Cowboy Bebop, S-cry-ed, FLCL, Megas XLR, etc (which is still better than most crap nowadays) and hes still rocking to this day (i.e. Grunt in Mass Effect 2, new X-Men toons Wolverine, Grayson in Bulletstorm). Yeah, Blum using the same voice, which is basically just his own voice, for like 90% of the characters he voices. Not that he doesn't have a cool voice, but after you watch so many cartoons with him as the voice actor and come to recognize him, it ruins the illusion a little. "Oh, look at that. Wolverine is Spike Spiegel."

Did I say it was mediocre, or a bad voice actor? No, I did not. He's got a good voice, it works for a lot of characters he voices. Damn near all of them. But because it's a good, and very recognizable voice you notice it when Vincent Valentine is Mugen, and it's a little distracting from the character of Vincent when you recognize him as Roger Smith or Darcia or other characters. The problem is that Steven Blum himself overshadows the characters he voices.
