One of the greatest tunes ever recorded, doesn't matter what genre. I was playing this to bring in the New Year, people went wild. It gets better the older it gets, like fine wine.
I think i had this song on a 8 trax ...life was moving so fast for me back then can't remember...but this is a good roller skating song...hey um, taradash don't feel like the long ranger, i thought Harold M. and the blue Notes sang this song.
They said it best . I dont think some people really understand the true meaning of the "love of music" music can heal, inspire, and rejuvenate a soul.
You can't help but to feel it. The instrumental part is off it . I personally dont think the music of today really speaks to the soul like the music of 70's
They don't make music like this anymore because the new so-called "artists" don't have the musical brains to compose it, create it, and produce it. It takes talent and a lot of effort. They are too lazy and dumb.
AND.... (the most important ingredient)...they have no SOUL.
This is the pure essence of jammin' R&B, in fact this is the song that started "house music" and if you listen closely, you can hear the background beat that house music has in it today. This is the type of music from back in the day that kinda took you to chruch, you know, made you want to get up and dance, made you feel like you were praising God in church, gettin' yo shout on.
But thats the power of good Ol Skool music, Sho wish we could bring dem days back.

It was cold, and it got dark quick... It was Chicago, and this song was blasting from our stereo... what a beautiful song!

The O'Jays are Immortal. Their music timeless. I thank God that we had something to listen to back then so we could remember the 'Good Times'.
There nothing or no one behind the mic' today that can even close to creating music like this. NO ONE....
