Lobby Loyde and the Coloured Balls played at my high school the year I started there. I was 11 years old and I stood outside the school gym during the afternoon as they did their sound check/. That was in 1972. I still have some vinyl records,- First Supper Last, Ball Power x 2, Heavy Metal Kid, Obsecration, Plays with George Guitar and Summer Jam. I also have Sunbury 1973 double album.
g.o.d now 2010 i kill with lyrics great guitarists and voices of power the music kkills them and the guitar smashed there head in the dirt oh yeah its god dam guitar oh yeah odee fuc........ trying to kill rock n roll dye now play on john lol
@zero10ification email me and will reply with a link for you to download. I know fora fact that EMI just arent interested in Lobby albums anymore...else they would have re-released them years ago
Thanks for posting. GTK was a 10 minute music show that came on before Bellbird as I remember. Their were some classic music vids around this time. One that I will never forget was Grand Funk Railroad doing "Inside looking out" Thats when I bought their double album "Live"
Lobby hardly started Aussie hard rock in 73. He was a member of the Aztecs before that. IMO, THEY were the start of Aussie hard rock with songs like Momma & CCRider. The Aztecs live at Sunbury 1972 is probably the best example of that era and should be in every collection. Lobby and Billy Thorpe are no doubt thrashing it out somewhere in the wild beyond and good on them. I saw them live in Townsville in 73. What a show.
lobby lobby lobby............wat can i say full of knowledge no longer here to my dismay u visit me in my dream why x i scream painters and dockers number one thanks to u god to the sun xxxx old pal mandy mouse
cool but the 73 sunbury version is the best 70s heavy rock instamental ever done. FUCK YEAH!!!!!!! can somebody if they have the ball power re-issue please please put it on youtube. i would but know that much about computers
This is AWESOME legendary stuff from the legend himself that kickstarted Aussie heavy rock!!! You should try and get a hold of the Sunbury '73 Summer Jam LP which features a 16 minute version of this song, it is so much heavier and it FUCKING ROCKS REAL FUCKING HARD YEAH!!!!!
Ultra rare Lobby Loyd & The Wildcherries doing a early shorter version of "GOD" which is better known from the Summer Jam album from the 70's were Lobby jams with wild man and friend Billy Thorpe.
If you are a AUS hardrock fan, you'd be fooled to think you've died n gone to Hardrock heaven.
This is underground history in 2007.
OzTvAgogo is a underground guy like they all were. Surport the dudes dedicated work for AUS rock.

Awesome video of an awesome band. Is there any way you can post the full version of "G.O.D." Lobby did with the Coloured Balls?
Fawksian21 4 years ago
This is the out of print album that has G.O.D. on it.
I hope this link works. Replace "(dot)" with a "." rapidshare (dot) com/files/67124273/Lobby_Loyde___The_Coloured_Balls_-_Summer_Jam.rar

@Fawksian21
I happen to have the "Summer Jam" LP in (very) good condition.
If I get the time, and the energy, I may just transcribe it and post it.
If you ask nicely.
