  • "I am so FULL of EMPTINESS"??

    What the.... how!?

  • I guess this is alright. No where near as face melting as Celebration of Guilt though.

  • Great song, great album. I especially like forced to rock. It shows that they;re not just abunch of closed minded death metal stereotypes who try to be brutal just for the sake of it.

  • @Lacerationizer I have to agree with you. These guys are multi-dimensional when it comes to their song writing abilities. Most death metalers are about brutality and satanism. These guys are obviously multi-talented. These guys are just ARSIS, and THEEEEEY'RRRRRE AWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESOOOOOOOOOOME! \m/ \m/ ALL HAILS GO OUT TO ARSIS UPLOADERS AND TO THE FANS OF THE BAND.

  • Fist time hearing Arsis, they're really good.

  • @Vale75234

Anything with vocals similar to that of Ensiferum's

  • @penguinofhell Ensiferum's vocals are a Carcass knockoff.

  • @WhyCreationism your an !diot!!! two different people means two different vocals, even if your pig-headed self cant hear a difference!!! there is no such thing as a vocal knock off and who gives a shit if they sound similar? the day i find someone who sounds like you, I'll be sure to tell you that your a knock off too ok penguinofhell!!

how DUMB are people on tube? as dumb as penguinofhell has demonstrated!

  • @Vale75234

    Thank you very much!

Although, I wasn't talking about the music lacking. It was the vocals lacking something, or having something they shouldn't.

  • @penguinofhell Maybe it's missing backing vocals with low growling? That's all I can find wrong with it

  • Oh my god!

I was searching for a band with vocals like this! I think I found my band!

Although, they do lack....something...I'm not sure what it is.

  • old arsis own :O new arsis suck :O

  • @Martinpeanut666 dude nothings wrong with the new stuff, yea its not as heavy but its good for a change. If they played the same way id be so sick of it after like 4 songs

  • @Martinpeanut666 I don't think this is bad, but I do love their older sound.

At least they are willing to change it up and keep us interested.

  • arsis going slow, doesnt sound as good, bring back old arsis plz :(

  • @sdspwn Dude, whats wrong with changes? they cant always do the same song, its normal that some songs get slow and stuff like that. you will live changes all your life long.

  • arsis makes good "slow" songs but we need something more like we are the nightmare

  • Love the melody and the bass on that part where the lyrics first kick in!

  • this licks balls compared to "..nightmare"

  • James Malone sounds a bit like Angela Gossow

  • ye, they went for more melody and less tech

  • its a different drummer. he was on the first album. but darren cesca (he did we are the nightmare) was a way way way better drummer. it sucks hes not in this band anymore.

  • @crackhead007 really? I thought he overplayed to be honest. He is a great drummer but I felt the drums on Celebration made more sense.

  • I smell some Arch Enemy influence :O

  • this album is awesome. They're a little less tech death, and more melodic. i like it. And Forced to Rock is an awesome song. I think people maybe just don't get that it was supposed to be goofy. they were having fun and mocking metal a little. Good for them that they can laugh at themselves.

  • i personally like it.its deffinately not the same but great none the less

  • this album sucks.

  • Oh well

  • huuuuuuu....... I have to inure

  • I like this album better than old stuff

  • thats awesome tough. i love

  • this reallly reminds me of arch enemy, maybe its just me...lol

  • i'm not at all impressed with this album. i love arsis, but without ryan knight, it seems like the guitar work is lacking. dont think ill be listening to this album anymore.

  • @JagerforSatan666

are you serious? i dont think youre being serious.

  • @JewsInUranus Are people not allowed to dislike something?

  • @pissoff124 its not disliking something...its just pointing out the fact that ryan knight has had little impact to who arsis was or is.

  • YAY! this is the Arsis i know and love :) not whatever the hell was on Forced to Rock. i mean it was an ok song but the video was like...eh...even tho it was ment to be a joke.

  • They shouldnt have released this song first. Along with forced to rock, it gave me a bad first impression but the rest of the album is solid.

  • Sooooo different than A celebration to guilt.

    But it's still so good.

  • I'm pretty sure this is the original drummer. They got a new guy for a little while, then switched back to this guy.

  • Van dyne ftw ?

  • @ghomicide

    ...but Darren Cesca is god

  • I think you should learn to shut your mouth and learn from your masters ..... useless piece of shit.....

  • I love ARSIS to death, and I love Riddick for his artwork on their albums, and Im not trying to talk shit about ARSIS, but this album just doesnt have the same brutality that the older albums possessed. I still love it, but it just doesnt hold that same passion for brutality. Keep fucking jamming though, guys.

  • this is epic! I am seeing them tonight with ARCH ENEMY and Exodus!

  • To hell with all the criticism, Arsis totally rules.

  • where's the damn blast beats?!

  • Why do people automatically bash anything with a breakdown?

  • Because they're wayyy overused.

  • @superhonkey0101 thats like saying solos are overused

  • @HoorayItsJames No it's not. Solos require talent. Breakdowns do not.

  • That's not my point. My point is that there's an entire genre of metal that focuses so hard on the breakdown that it becomes boring, bland, formulaic, and expected. I thought this breakdown was good because I didn't see it coming. Both take talent, not so much in the technical aspect of performing them but composing them in a way that becomes interesting and appealing to the listener.

  • Superhonkey is dead on, and mirrors my thoughts exactly. The breakdown in and of itself is not NECESSARILY a bad thing, however, what the breakdown has become is bland and boring as he said. I too found this one more interesting than most. They didn't focus on it too much or anything. It seemed like more of an extra-heavy bridge than anything else, not something they were relying on like most hardcore/deathcore/metalcore bands that use breakdowns commonly.

  • @Azrael138 yes this is true, but im complaining about people who automatically jump on the lets-all-hate-breakdowns bandwagon. I'm not saying breakdowns aren't overused, but anyone who hates a breakdown ONLY because they're overused is silly. There's nothing wrong with disliking a breakdown, as most are fairly shitty. But there are countless bands with fantastic breakdowns. All I'm saying is bashing a breakdown for no reason (in general I mean, I agree that this one isn't that good) is idiotic.

  • Yeah, that's fair. I hate when people like or dislike anything based on the fact that it is or is not common or popular. It's the exact opposite of independent thought.

  • @Azrael138 especially Smells like Teen Spirit

  • @Hooray...what are you talking about?

  • Comment removed

  • sold out?????!!!-what the hell are you miserable queers all bitching about???wtf?Arsis rules as always!this song is beyond awesome!

  • Love this song.

  • @xXRageAddictXx change =/= sold out

  • Still, it's interesting for a breakdown. It's not like they depend on them. They have like 2 in all. Bands can still be good and use a breakdown or two, and quite frankly, I think Arsis are still awesome. But to each their own.

  • So you are calling Suffocation sell outs too. They use breakdowns sporadically. Quit being a n00b.

  • U cannot compare suffocation to this band....COMPLETELY different styles..... and judging from this flame war i think the guy doesn't like Arsis the same way u don't enjoy Suffocation so i'm just going to call your statement *bullshit*

NOW THEN, of course suffocation has talent. mike smith is THE beast... and of course they have melody, your just not used to that level of intensity.

try the song Torn Into Enthrallment. and tell me that has no melody or talent.

  • you should learn somethings about music before you open your fucking mouth retarded, probably you dont even know how to play a music instrument

  • ... Arsis is a melodic technical death metal band... MELODIC technical death metal...

  • suffocation is talented they are just more of a older style of death metal the way it was done before all this sub genre crap happened. they stand with the greats of death metal and i hate to tell you they will never before gotten hell ever band you like that has this so called melody that suffocation does not have loves these guys and get alot of lick from them same with DEATH, exodus, venom cannibal corpse napalm death and shit like that paved a good bit of the road for extreme metal bands

  • just listen to elegant and perverse from their old album and you'll see how far they've drifted. damn.

  • yeah dude elegant is one of my favourte songs of all times... its so goddamn epic

  • Good song but no offense, i'm missing the Celebration of Guilt/Diamond for Disease song. Still going to see them on the 8th in SF!

So glad Mike van dyne is back

  • sound* not song

  • sounds like there first drummer cause we are the night mares drummer shaun crazy fast its sounds to me that they are archenemys male cover band ???

  • stop complaining about which kinda metal this is. ITS JUST METAL FAGGOTS! Can't hear this whining about which genre this is...

  • When you get more melodic and start to compare to bands like wintersun and old in flames you lose the term "technical death metal"..lol..no one calls melodic death metal technical melodic metal..its just a given..but anyways..ill leave you with a joke for the hell of it.

A little girl walks out of the bathroom and sees her mom making cupcakes so she asked her mom "Can I lick the bowl?" and her mom says, "Why dont you flush it like everyone else"

Say what you want haha...I didnt write it.

  • I like this much more then old arsis..Im more of a melodic death metal kinda guy tho..sooo it works.

  • cus youre a music n00b.

  • to the faggot who said necrophagist has no melody. end your life

  • thnk you, i love you, tnk you for uploading, i love you, ill say it again...I LOVE YOU!

  • i think they are more melodical now, are they?

  • Hmm, sounds not Arsis-ish.

They're changing. Probably I don't like this change, but I need to listen to the whole album to know would it be better than We Are The Nightmare (which is for me enough not Arsis-ish). Ah, where is the sound from Celebration of Guilt, it was a great album.

  • better than the stupid "we must rock" or something like that, cant remember

  • Forced to rock [...]

  • @fdcendm

    fuck you that song rules.

  • @Pewptypeupty go listen "a diamond for disease"

  • @fdcendm

...I have all their albums. Kthnx.

  • @fdcendm Forced To Rock Rules... Yeah is pussy.. but cool

  • fucking great song!!! I'm seeing a mixture of we are the nightmare styles and older arsis styles and im liking it \m/

  • I love all the old Arsis albums, and I also love this song. I've had it stuck in my head for weeks now on and off. DISEASE REBORN!!! I AM SO FULL OF EMPTINESS!! \m/ lol, awesome! Can't wait to buy this new album. I don't understand how anyone can say this "sucks".

  • well put it this way alot of people miss the feel of the songs they used to write because it was heavy, technical and had a sense of melody; well thats what i think

  • this song does not really fit in with the style arsis used to have but then again im not surprised i think arsis lost their style with we are the nightmare because they overused the technical and did not have the heavy feel that a celebration of guilt, a diamond for disease or united in regret had

  • im missing the blast beats... like in OH THE HUMANITY or in ELEGANT AND PERVERSE... all of the other stuff was so awesome and different

why is that so slow... good melodies but sooo slow...

  • This song fucking sucks, so generic, this doesn't sound like Arsis at all, sounds like they are tring to hard to go cock rock metal..Fuck the new album...

  • COMPLETELY agree.. where is the sick technical metal?? this is crap..absollute crap..

  • once again, awesome.

  • This Is Amazing.

Arsis Has Blown My Mind Once Again. :)

  • niiiiceeeeeee

  • You people who aren't digging this are fucking retards. James has been changing it up since Celebration of Guilt. They've always been one of the only tech metal bands that had a sense of melody and catchy riffs/hooks. This is merely a continuation of the genius that is James Malone. This album will be HEROIC.

  • thats a complete lie.. haha are you kidding ??? THE ONLY techdeath band with melody?? hahahah..

have you been living under a rock all your life? ?

  • Is that why you're completely incapable of responding with even 1 band that has a sense of melody and catchy riffs? Yeah, I thought so, dipshit.

  • Oh my... You just should simply know at least a few techdeath bands with melodies and catchy riffs in one. Just to not make a fool of yourself.

Death, Obscura, Cynic, Necrophagist for a quick example.

Please, don't make fun of yourself next time.

  • Every song has a melody, you idiot.

  • smart guy, asor arsis, dear god there getin worse, does anyone else thnk there starting to sound like metalcore trash?

  • @unnaturalshadows I agree, the first two albums were the best , "We are the Nightmare" had one or two good songs, and it was too clean for my taste; first two albums hand down the best ones

  • aww come one i loved we are the nightmare dont get me wrong the first two were beast as fuck, too

  • @unnaturalshadows Iono dude I had been listening to Arsis a lot before We are the Nightmare came out, and I kind of fell in love with that sound clean yet human sounding. We are the nightmare was good but it was too clean for my taste you know

  • I see what your saying, but I kinda liked the direction they were going with clean guitars, not so much vocals, but I do have to agree with you on a fucking celebration of being united in regret!

  • i loved we ae the nightmare butthe first 2 were epic as shit

  • @unnaturalshadows - No i just hear a band that a matured and got better and tighter, i think they are awesome and still are, this album is kick ass from what i've heard of it. So no i dont think they are starting to sound like whatever, i dont go by genre, i go by talent and kick ass music...

  • apon further examiation of the album iv found they didnt change tobadly still not as awesome as they used to be

  • well...... from what ive heard of this album........ not metalcore but your right on trash, everything else by them is orgasmic but this.... oh well MADDENING FUCKIN DISDAIN

  • Death is one among the first bands to start teching in death metal, it's not as techcrazy as Cynic, yet is more tech than Morbid Angel and so on.

Sorry, Necrophagist is melodic unless Prokofiev's "Dance of the Knights" isn't. (if you know what it is).

Cynic being progressive is still deathish in the Death-style. Obscura is great, just learn to listen.

  • @hydrOstem Just a reminder to those. A melody a series of notes that is appealing to the ear. The term melody is very controversial because whether or not something is appealing is entirely up to the interperetation of the listener, even if something is"dissonant, one might find that pleasing in some way or manor . Although Cynic is kinda like a jazzy prog in my opinion and Obscura i like, they are like a tech death, sometimes "melodic"by your terminology, and necrophagist is just tech death IMO

  • @66Ganon where the fuck did you get that dumb ass definition? "Melody: A rhythmically organized sequence of single tones so related to one another as to make up a particular phrase or idea." A series of notes that are appealing to the ear? Did you make that up yourself?

  • I don't see how he's an idiot...

Later on in their career Death became very technical, especially on the sound of perseverance...

but yes cynic is probably the definition of prog-metal

  • this song is good, but is more melodic than the others albums, but is really good for me

  • If you think the rest of the album is different you will be really disapointed. Arsis´s are dead

  • they lost their style, don´t like it

  • good post man

  • *jizz jizz jizz jizz*

    Sorry, I was watching porn.

    Awesome song btw

  • Very thrashy.

  • this song is good, but i was deff expecting more shreddage from Malone, still cool song though, c'mon berklee grad shred that washburn \m/

  • Kinda disapointed... Sounds like theyre trying to sound like arch enemy, which in my opinion, arent that great. I dont like where this band is going

  • woah!! this is not what i was expecting. I really hope there is some fast crazy stuff on this cd.

  • Different from their old shit. Still good though! \m/

  • expecially with that song called 'forced to rock'...hard for me not to think about tenacious D with a song title like that...definitely not what I expected...not bad, but again, unexpected

  • With the album title as intense as it is, I was expecting something a little more on the WatN side, something a little more dark and evil-ish, dealing with malones inner demons and such after what he recently went through...but strangely it seems theyre taking a more playful and thrashy attitude towards this album...its not bad at all, just very unexpected

  • Dunno what the hell you guys are talking about. CoG was brilliant, WatN was great. This, this is just crap.

  • After listening to this, I have to agree. They're really trying to sound like Arch Enemy with Hammerfall song titles.

  • I´m starving for this album

  • sex

  • there touring with archenemy and now i know y sounds like them .damn they slowed down

  • This is song is badass. I've listened to it at least 20 times in the past few weeks. Arsis is one of the best bands I've heard in a very long time. Can't wait for the new abum! \m/

  • GREAT!!!

  • they're going to crush it with the new album.

  • wow ... I didn't expected this sound form Arsis

    but it's good.

  • Yeah dude.. I agree to you, this is not the Arsis sound I used to.. I mean I followed their album "A Celebration of Guilt" like a god because it is their highly technical but melodic album ever.. this is more on melodic stuff but I don't mean that their new song sucks... It's still great dude..

  • I knew that Beyond Forlorn was a warm up song Forced To Rock kicks Beyond Forlorns ass anyday!!!! WE ARE FORCED TO ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

  • Not the Arsis I'm used to..but still excellent as always!

  • awesome. thanks for putting this up. i was hoping to get a sneak peek at the album =]

  • Fuckin' amazing.

  • WHOOOOO \M/

  • They uploaded another new song "forced to rock" on their myspace its very good go check it out!

  • Thank you ! The song is great ! I will try uploading it if it is avaible on the internet =)

  • Cool! Thanks :)

  • hmmmm..... really different from classic, we are the nightmare was a good sound it was just a bit sped up and cleaner but still similar, this sounds much different, oh well arsis kicks ass no matter what

  • I'd prefer it if the song was more "Nightmare" -ish. That album just sounded more natural to me. This isn't bad but, in a sense forgettable to me.

  • they always have sick album art

  • Fuck yes! seeing arsis in feb, opening for arch enemy and exodus!

  • WIN!!!

  • I like it better the second time I listened to it. A lot more melodic than Technical this time. Can't wait till February
