Where as Hicks was the psychedelic/radical/controvers­ial/bringer of good will. They are on the same level. I can't say Hicks without thinking Carlin and vice versa. Personally I think Carlin was amazing as a word smith and delivering clever comedy where as Bill was great at taking on controversial truths....but then again they both did that!
