Someone with the most basic knowledge understands that to translate from one lanquage to another, will for the most part encounter those words that don't translate, please do research on William Tyndale, he literally invented words like, Passover, and short phrases like, my brothers keeper, etc.

@lkevins1 Jesus didn't speak English because nobody else did at the time either. Obviously, Jesus knows ALL languages and can put His word in English if He wants to. And the fact that some words were first used the KJB doesn't mean you need Hebrew/Greek dictionaries to define them. The Bible is self-defining. Read Riplinger's books "The Language of The King James Bible" and "In Awe of Thy Word".

Calciumboy I agree with your stance on issues. What is troubling is that people who do not know the Holy Spirit try to argue about ANY issues pertaining to God Everyone wants to be right. The Holy Spirit drew me to Him and has grown me up since and brought me to the AV. The Lord will bring the fervent closer to the Truth if we are sincerely born again. Renewing the mind is throwing out the old. Why don't people stop trying to make the bible conform to them, and start conforming to the Bible.

@joshuadaniel5 Webster's 1828 Dictionary: UNICORN: noun: 1. "an animal with one horn..." There's a species of Rhinoceros with one horn still alive today. That's most likely what it refers to. It's not the King James translators fault that people later started using the word 'unicorn' to refer to a mythological flying horse with one horn. (Of course you couldn't prove that there never was an actual species of horse with one horn.)

Unit-ed=εν-ωμένος.....it's always the same root......Greek is my native language.

So, it's UNI-CORN

Horn = Κέρας ....can you see the similarities ? I can go on and on and on by explaining the similarities between H and K ....but, anyway you get the point. .... I hope so.

@calciumboy I love how you dance around this question. It is THE question that KJV onlyists like Gipp, Riplinger, and Ruckman never have a good answer for. Not all Bibles translated into other languages are based on the KJV. So the question remains, if a Spanish Bible is not translated from the KJV do those spanish speaking people have the inspired word of God or not? It's a yes or no not "they'll have to figure it out." If you want to make this claim, it MUST be universal not circumstancial.

By implication, you are saying that I can't know ANYTHING until I know EVERYTHING! That is agosticism, and creating an impossible burden of proof so you will never have to make a decision. No you DON'T "have time" to check the sources yourself - that's the whole point of the book! She CONSOLODATED and organized tons of hard-to-find information that took THOUSANDS OF HOURS to collect, so you could read it all in less than 100 hours. (That's the purpose of a lot of books. Get a clue.)

I stick to the KJV but I use Strong's concordance to look up the Original Languages.

We're NOT saying it's sin to study Hebrew/Greek. How could u possibly draw that conclusion from this video?? You're not listening. It's as if you didn't even bother to READ THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION, or you haven't read ANYTHING by Gipp, Ruckman or Riplinger. The point is FINAL AUTHORITY. If u look up Greek to understand the Bible, you're saying the English Book God gave you is NOT GOOD ENOUGH and God can't create a self-sufficient Book. And the dictionaries used to DEFINE the greek are CORRUPT.

I use Strongs as well, but you have to be careful. The Greek and Hebrew are sometimes corrupt. Strong was a new-ager. Just don't give them any weight. God did not make a mistake when inspiring the original Hebrew and Greek, just that they have been corrupted today. It is a mistake to correct the King James using the original languages; most don't even know these languages or the history of their corruptions since the cross of Jesus.

I appreciate this video a lot.

I've had people tell me that I won't ever understand the Bible until I learn Greek and Hebrew. This lady once said until you learn Greek/Hebrew, learn from people who already have. Then she gave me a book called 'Mere Christianity' by C.S. Lewis, who probably wasn't even a Christian!

But the fact that I can learn just as much, or even more, by reading the English Bible (AV) is encouraging!

It came from GOD. (2 Timothy 3:16) But the KJV translators referred to previous quasi-English translations and several other languages including better Hebrew and Greek manuscripts than are easily accessible today, using Hebrew and Greek dictionaries THAT HAD NOT BEEN CORRUPTED YET (it was 1611, genius!). Gail's book is talking about CURRENT hebrew and greek study dangers. See her book "In Awe Of Thy Word" for more on the what KJV translators used.

look up the kittel lexicons and dictionaries. gerhard kittel was a convicted nazi war criminal, yet his hebrew/greek are used in modern bibles. do you trust what a nazi criminal has to say about the Jews? not me

The Greek and Hebrew dictionaries have been corrupted by going to PAGAN sources for their definitions. For example; John 1:18 the Greek word monogenes now means "unique, one-of a kind." But this comes from pagan witchcraft manuals. The word means mono-one (or only) gennao (begotten). The men who wrote the Greek/Hebrew Lexicons today were heretics, perverts, ungodly men. Do some research on this.

WONDERFUL! this hebrew/greek baloney is leading back to rome. the priests supposedly were the only ones who knew the truths about the Bible, being in latin. same thing today w/ preachers trying to quote from the 'original hebrew/greek' they're trying to make you think they have more insight into the TRUE meanings of the Bible. some are innocent and caught up in a fad but for many, they think it makes them smart. BEWARE attending churches that do this. i've had to stop attending one
