I'll review it and say that the ultimate cut is the one i prefer not liking the other two versions of the film as the comedian is too dark so you really dont care about the main character thier investigating. the ultimate cut with gerad butler comic makes it work as a tale of dark irony much better.
Hey! I'm from Spain and finally they aren't going to release this amazing version so I'm considering buying it on amazon even if I can only see it on my computer due to the NTSC/PAL formats. However, I'd like to ask you if you can tell me if there are Spanish subtitles or at least English subtitles. Thank you very much in advance!
The guy is ok as far as all the guy voices but when I heard him as the voice of Laurie that was just sad they couldn't get a woman for the female parts how hard could it be?
Actually, both the Director's Cut and Ultimate Cut include a digital copy of the Theatrical Cut.
If you can only own one version, there's no doubt it should be the Director's Cut. Significantly better film. The TBF segments are one of the best parts of the book, but they don't work at all in a movie.
cool review. I did some math and the Ultimate Cut has 53 minutes of new footage. Director's Cut is 24 minutes, Tales of Black Freighter is 20 minutes not counting the 5 minutes of credits which is replace with 9 minutes of the Barnard's scene.
did they make limited copies of this? or mite it still be in stores anymore?
