I have to say that the GTR is an amazing car. Sure it has its begrudgers, but for the money, in Europe at least, very little else goes as fast and is as easy to drive. Of course all those aspiring heel and though merchants may find it a bit too "uninvolving" a bit too banzai and probably a bit too mongrel for their pedigree tastes - but I'll wager this - you'd want to be a very good driver to live with an ordinary joe driving a GTR at 3 tenths, never mind a good driver giving it the berries!!

@pier456 I think at or near sea level with the tubos working perfectly because of the low altitude, the 2012 GTR can do 10.90 or even quicker 1/4 mile.

The 2012 Spec-V will probably do 10.70 in the same conditions.

They all have launch control. There is a LC1 that is on the 09s and then in 2010 they went to LC2. They wanted everyone to come in with the 09 and have it switched to the LC2. It just limited the revs from going all the way to 4,500 like it did in LC1. Cobb tunning has just released there access port that you can not control the tranny to do what ever you want. We put mine to where it has LC2, but if you pump the brake four times the rpm will go up to 4,500. Kenny Tran w/Jotech in Dallas d-man

Launch control is on the 2012 europe 2011 MY, it has a cut off if the gearbox oil gets too hot and u cant use it again until oil has cooled, it is a 4K rpm start with full boost on turbos.

@len0808 I dont know what you are smoking, but the GTRs have always had LC.. Dont you remember the big hype where if you use it your waranty goes to HELL!!!!! Get a clue what I posted is correct. I even was one of the people who wasted my tranny and had to have a it rebuilt by SSP and Jotech performance. (you can see it on each of their websites). There was also major talk that it could not hit the claimed numbers it did w/o it being used (09-10).. What a stupid comment!!!!!!!!!

Well said. The ZR1 vs GTR vids on this website are bias. The GTR is capable of 0-62mph (aka 0-100km/h) in 3.0sec or less. Yet the American car shows who put up videos on here cannot get the GTR below 3.5-3.8 seconds. Shows American skill in driving imports. The ZR-1 is a Great car, don't get me wrong. The GTR can easily take the ZR-1 in almost any track. The GTR spanks the ZR1 in real races, passing the ZR1 by 30-40mph on most large turns, the same it would against an Enzo.
