Personally, I'm giving Dave a break here. He was a VERY physical performer in his youth. And he made his break as a very energetic singer with VH. He was young, good-looking, and physically superior to any frontman before or since (flips, splits, karate kicks, etc). So it's inevitably sad to see someone with those qualities age and change. But I'm still a fan. He still seems to be the same self-confident Dave who just enjoys being on stage. He's still the greatest frontman in rock history.
