  • i always thought it happened here in essex in the UK so i learned a great deal from watching that show, and i like how massachusetts has named alot of areas and places after the salem witch trials, like witchcraft hills, sounds kinda exciting, you could drive around that area and think back to how it was in 1692 i think that was the year.. must have been horrible in those times, i thought id scare myself watching it thinkin it happened near to wher i live haha

  • well im a brit and i live in essex but essex in the uk and all this damn time can you believe it, i thought it happened here lol! i just watched a short tv movie only an hour long, and all the actors wore old english clothes and when they started speaking they was speaking with american accents and i was like wtf are these bad actors or something? turns out alot of massachusetts has english names for places because it was a colony of brits over there, i never knew that!

  • What the fuck New England? I'd love to see their faces later when they're like "Well shit witchs DON'T exist" only took 390 years. They're so bad

  • saw this in school the other ady :D lol nice work on it ^_^

  • u've got it wrong The Crucible says they were hanged, except Giles beacause he was crushed. the book did not say they were burned at the stake.

  • whats the second song?

  • what grade did ya get

  • Love the second song!

  • the crazy and unfair events that happened at the salem witch trials, is a proof that shows how stupid and dumb is the church... i mean the killed innocent 150 people just becasue 3 whores told them to do so.... what a dumbass stupid eggheaded church ....

  • @AnimEmo100 it was only 20 people and religion was just an excuse to kill off the women who didn't respect the male dominated society.

  • Hmm if witchcraft can cause this much turmoil i wonder how much chaos i could create by introducing an M1 Abrams or a couple of modern weapons to the mideval times HEHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEHEHEHHEHEHEH

  • HAHAHAHH H CHRIS PENNISI

  • i came here because of motionless in white

  • my names abigailO_o

  • KILLING of WITCHES

    Some numbers of the unknown:

17,000+ killed in Scotland from 1563 to 1603

70,000 killed in England after 1573

40,000 executed between 1600-1680 in Great Britain

22,000 executed in Bamberg, Germany 1610-1840

    30,000 burned by the Inquisition

300+ killed in South Africa between 1986 and 1996

    100+ killed in Indonesia, 1998

  • Ignorant evil christian pieces of human garbage...

  • “The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian religion.” (Treaty of Tripoli, Article 11: Written during the Administration of George Washington and signed into law by John Adams.) In 1966, the phrase "In God we Trust" was added to the American Dollar Bill should it be removed?

  • well done! :)

  • Well you did a top notch job of scaring the bejeesees out of me. o_O

  • Research the role members of the Illumanati played in orchestrating the hysteria. The medicine & pharmacy still use symbolism associated with Medeival Witchcraft, Sorcery and Magic. Solomon wrote his grimoirs (expressly forbidden) which summoned progressively more powerful demons. The most evil were the Jesuit Incantations which called for denouncing Jesus hundreds of years before He was born. Jesuits were kicked out of every European Country incl the Vatican before finding refuge in America

  • Lol the music is so unfitting.

  • I heard they actually murdered Millions of women.....by drowning, burning or hanging....it is the truth about religion.....they will kill those who refuse to follow what they are trying to sell. And Sell is the right word...they are all in it for the money.

  • @Kisinkona well you heard wrong moron

  • The only reasons this minor event is still talked about 319 years later are:

    1. Hatred of Religion from the Far Left and Atheists

    2. This type of thing is/was so rare in the United States.

Only 19 people died during this minor event. We've had worse bus crashes.

That many people died in Soviet Russia every time Stalin blinked or in Cuba when Castro got in a bad mood.

It appears innocents were wrongly killed, and this was wrong. The scale was tiny, fortunately.

  • @RuflessRecords Hatred of religion has nothing to do with this event being remembered. This is still talked about because it was a significant/interesting part of EARLY colonial history. The scale was actually quite large back then.

  • @RuflessRecords

Sorry, but the early colonists brought their superstitions over from EUROPE.

THERE is where most of the religious burnings, hangings, beheadings, were performed.....and it wasn't brief, and it was in no way small scale.

  • @BrightStaroftheDawn Americareligious executions were on a very small scale, the biggest known event was the minor Salem witch trials where 19 people were executed.

Your hogwash about European executions during the excesses of the Catholic Church over there is irrelevant, but it's interesting if you examine those as well, you find the scale is tiny compared to what happened in the Soviet Union, China, Cambodia, Germany etc.

Several thousand here and there in the worst Catholic countries.

  • @RuflessRecords

America religious executions were on a very small scales?

Have you included Inquisitions, and the Native Americans....hmm, maybe you have, and think it is a 'small scale'.

No, not hogwash, and not 'irrelevant'.... Sweden, Germany , France(who loved the guillotine btw)....it's historical, and well documented.

It's time to look at your religion a lot harder than you have been, and stop trying to bury it.

  • @BrightStaroftheDawn you really can't focus at all on topic, and you really know nothing about anything. You're talking Native Americans now? when the topic was the Salem Witch trials. We didn't have Inquisitions over here retard, and I already mentioned, going down your stupid tangent for a second, the Inquisitions in Europe.

Focus. One topic at a time. Salem. Witch. Trials. Minor event equaling same death toll in the Soviet Union everytime Stalin blinked.

  • @RuflessRecords

Don't tell me what I know and don't know, asswipe.

Obviously, you can't comprehend more than a "handful" nor admit the fact that it was religion that caused these atrocities in Salem, bought into the Americas by Europe.

Yes, that is how it got here.

No, we are not going to just focus on tiny Salem, and your "small handful" as you would like..

just because the focusing on a bigger picture would focus on the religion and its barbaric superstitions.

  • @BrightStaroftheDawn Religion doesn't cause anything. Human beings just use religion,or even worse, their own judgment to commit evils.

  • @jd3189

That's my point. The cruelest and most mindless injustices can only be thought of as good and righteous by justifying it with religion.

  • @BrightStaroftheDawn But a lot of the world's religions speak of peace. The "religious" people who have done wrong in history over it were hypocrites that wanted a backup.Take the KKK for instance. Says Jesus was white and thought that Cain's curse was dark skin.Take Al Qaeda for example too. Do you think they give a crap if what they are doing is against their religion?

  • @jd3189

Yes....that's why religion is a great cover.

The "religious" people who have done wrong, did RIGHT in their own eyes, because of their religion.

They are thinking they ARE doing right because of their religion.

For it is "In the Name of their Lord"

.....and if you dare tell them they're not doing right, well then, your a devil, and you're going to hell....

What I am saying is they really believe what they do IS right.

  • @BrightStaroftheDawn But you don't blame the cover, you blame the person. Human Beings are responsible for most of the evils that plagued the world in the past and will be still responsible in the future.

  • @jd3189

I understand you are trying to make religion look innocent., it is not by far.

In order to make a religion "live", it has to be carried by a person, whether it be a good person or bad.

That person who has the religion will not think for themselves most of the time, and consult their Holy Book.

That religious person has a problem in discerning what is good and bad obviously, and cannot think for themselves....and in time makes decisions solely based on what their "God" wants.

  • @jd3189

Religion.....a way to strike up killing frenzies.

It's in the Book , so it's GOT to be good, right??:

"When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are entering to possess and drives out before you many nations . . . then you must destroy them totally. Make no treaty with them, and show them no mercy"

    For killing their own children:

It's written in the Book, so it's GOT to be right, ...RIGHT??

"If anyone curses his father or mother, he must be put to death."

  • @jd3189

As we move further down the rabbit jole....what is the ONE COMMON THING, 99.9 relious beliefs have is coomon.

    The Devil!!

You scare them enough with that.....you got yourself a very fearful, distrusting, paranoid group, that will do ANYTHING to "save their own soul", by defeating the "devils helpers".....that could be ANYbody....

  • Um,no. Recheck every religion,then come back.

  • @jd3189

    Wicca.....no devil.

  • @RuflessRecords

That religion creatively killed every non believer in its path.

It also killed anything that would threaten its tyrannical"God Given Authority".

    It's documented.

If it weren't for that particular Book, I guess this "minor event" and the events before it, would have never happened.

YOU focus on that, and try to expand your little brain.

  • @BrightStaroftheDawn

    What popular book?

Btw, one does not have to be atheist to know history

  • Nice dude, everyone in my enlgish class watched this for our essay.

  • this may be a good resource for my project

  • I love how the music turns to dubstep <3

    What's the song called?

  • Giles Corey wasn't convicted, he refused to enter a plea.

  • Im doing my geography project on this..... Its difficult :D

  • the damn music got on my nerves it sounds like someone dancing in a retarded club!

  • @salamonetalton i know right

  • apparently some of the women that were executed had Huntingtons disease. Thats because they were offspring of the people from Suffolk, england who brought the mutated gene to Salem. i just read this in my neuroscience book :D

  • @MajkeTiTvoje That is quite interesting, and probable. many of those who were persecuted were elderly spinsters.too bad that they can't do some testing to validate the hypothoses.Thanx for sharing that knowledge with us.

  • this is true!!!! its real so dont dislike this person for spreading the truth. i have learned about this in history and it is very intresting. so people dont go saying that other peoples work isnt true

  • I'm learning this in class. O_O

  • text fucking to quick!

  • The witch of the black bird pond (punanibuzzed)

  • The witch of the black bird pond

  • what is the second song called?

i bet you got an 101% on it! haha

  • OMG i so need to use this for my class its due next week and i dont know anthing about these girls other then people blaming them to be witches and their names. If you dont mind Chyeaitstarr i am going to use this as my presentation thx so much.

  • Witch means Wise Woman

    Read

  • I am glad people don't burn us anymore. Now if we could get them to stop the verbal abuse it would be perfect.

  • sad time, bad time. but i love salem.its a lovely place , loaded with history. too bad the new agers are turning into a wiccan disneyworld. personally, i think that is like taking a big steaming shit on the memories of those who suffered through the hysteria. hopefully, i am not the only one that can see that.

  • @wanagi006 My ancestor was Bridget Bishop. And I agree. The new agers are making a big profit off my ancestors suffering!! IT' BULLSHIT!!

  • @tweethang1 hey ,tweethang, got your reply...how interesting to be descended from Bridget. It is said that she was rather colorful. Seems she had a "take no prisoners"attitude. I love that, though it was quite risky for a woman to succeed at anything back then.It proved to be fatal for her. I haven't been in Salem for years now, and don't think I would behave very well if I were to return and witnessed a pack of new agers clanging thumb cymbals and chanting.Oddly enough, I am not anti-wiccan.

  • @wanagi006 Well I believe that Salem is good for pushing religious tolerance and people Laurie Cabot are doing great things to the community. But as for the rest of it.... Yeah... It was a horrible time and they won't let it rest. I think the victims of Salem should rest in peace.

  • what it was was the water supplie

  • this is fukin cool man and i cant beleive that these ppl did this to ttha witches!!!

  • i know how it began and it started with three lil girls and there names were ann putnam( i think it is spelled like tht but the other 2 are on this vid)

  • @xSadisticAngel theres a movie its called "the crucible". same events and names as whats on this video...

  • Thank you! Im doing a expository speech on The Salem Witch Trials and this helped a lot thank you!

  • this is sad. Guys, the people that they were murdering weren't witches. They were people. You were murdering your own kinds.

  • i want to learn more about these events. anyone know a good book that wont waste my time on the subject (non fiction) . Any NYT best sellers perhaps? thanks...

  • @punanibuzzed The Crucible...

  • isnt the crucible fiction?

  • There's only two wrong facts in that book, one is Abigail wasn't 17 when it happened, she was only 14, and the other fact I don't remember.

  • A break with charity :D

  • a break with charity?

  • @punanibuzzed Read "Mysteries of the salem witch trials" by Marc Aronson

  • @chelsandiarebffs much thanks

  • @punanibuzzed "Witch-Hunt" by Marc Aronson, very intersting

  • @punanibuzzed Screw books the internet is a good enough source.I know this because I have tried this

  • @punanibuzzed there is a book we have to read in school called "the crucible" it has a lot of information and is mostly based on real stories. A little is changed such as the ages of some of the people and little side stories but it is filled with info giving you an idea of how idiotic these people were.

  • @punanibuzzed U SHOULD GO TO SALEM, CITY, AND HEAD TO THE LIBRARY, THEY HAVE AMAZING BOOKS ABOUT THAT SPECIFIC TOWN.

  • @punanibuzzed my class is reading the crossible it in the form of a play. It's good so far.

  • @punanibuzzed me to. at my old school, my english teacher did all this stuff on salem and i want to learnm more and we did an essay of this and she had us try to find another witch trial to comapre it to and i did the holocost and i still have and i have a book called time of the witches and it is about this and it has to fake characters but actual facts and at the end it showed who got hung on gallows hill and all tht and it was one of my fav books

  • @punanibuzzed Probably a book that i read a couple of hours ago believe its called Potter Harry o wait i think its Harry Potter really interesting book it talks about witches and brooms and Mexicans that own 3 headed beasts its a pretty interesting book.

  • @AVagent007 fuck u is all about the brown fucking pride mother fuckers

  • @punanibuzzed i know one but its not NYT- its- THE WORLD OF WITCHCRAFT by jason dexter karl

  • @punanibuzzed I read this book my couison got from her school called "The witchcraft of salem village"

    I learned alot from it.

  • @punanibuzzed i would definatly not recommend any american history books (at least not by american comoanies) they will give info but will candy coat it and give you the disney version. by now you probably have all the info you want but you never know what today's events will unravel

  • @punanibuzzed I don't know about any books but I studied the Salem Witch Trials for a 2 years with a group from school. (Principle thought it wasn't appropriate so she canceled our group, just when lots of people were joining, what a bitch.) I still have the notes and stuff so if you want to learn, let me know in message :3

  • @punanibuzzed

The Crucible play by Arthur Miller

  • @aktankg naah, The Crucible is not historically accurate, the author just made play based on it. But there are a lot of books about the subject, just google it.

  • @SiggyCrisEdieRecords

sounds more like articles then ) Or historical book of witchcraft in Early Modern Era (16th-17th century) otherwise, it wont be 100% accurate )) but i dont think there are any bestsellers articles lol

I had to read The Crucible for my seminar and I actually liked it.

  • @aktankg Yeah I liked The Crucible too. Actually, I just bought a book yesterday, it's called Witch-Hunt: Mysteries of the Salem Witch Trials, and so far it's pretty good, I recommend it.

  • @SiggyCrisEdieRecords

oh ill get it as well then :D

  • my schools makin me read a crappy bok called witch of blackbird pond thats the only reason im watchin this crap

  • wait so wen u did the differences i think, u said that Tituba was Native American....but she was a slave...??

I like this though im doing an essay in English and my teacher likes all my writings but yet im failing, i need to make this one perfect so thanks for some info.:)

  • Sorry you had to put up with such immaturity in your audience that commented. You did a great job capturing the essence of this frightening mob mentality. I'm using this in my 8th grade Lit. class as we are reading The witch of Blackbird Pond. Thanks for the great video!

  • 2:04 Lol is that a remix to the halloween movie (with michael myers) song?

  • NO FUCKTARD Its THE EXORCIST!!

  • I was talking about the second song in this video. God. stupid bitch.

  • im in 8th grade and we r doing a mickming of this and im the wicth and i was sent to be burned.....AHHHHHH

  • omg im in 5th grade and im learning about this.this freaked me out so much especially the screaming

  • There is nothing freaky about this, inosent people were killed because of a group of girls that were pretending to be bewitched.

Im not Christan, if any ass asks

  • 0_0 this is anoying

  • THAT IS FUCKING TRUE

  • @DarkAntiU94 bitch do sea that!!!!

  • did you get an A? You deserve one!

  • great!!

  • I used this for a presentation in U.S History. Everyone in class started dancing to the techno song aha

  • not bad i admit...only thing that i can say needed most improvement was your similarities between the witch trials and the red scare...you should have included more details on how they were similar...the music wasnt too bad (kinda catchy really which is good for attention grabbing)...it was good but like i said, you should have included more details in the similarities...especially since MOST ppl dont know ANYTHING about the red scare...

  • real interesting i must admit, but the music that went along with it and the screams and stuff... well... it became a bit much and it just seemed less real. i dunno how to explain it.

  • WOW THAT WAS REALLY GOOD! it really makes since on how they would think that.. also ... i found out it was a drug in the wheat and even though they baked it at high temps it still stayed in,, making their fingers tingly and seeing hillutinations.. and all of this stuff so yeah it was realllyyy weird again thnx for taking ur time out of ur day to do this!!

  • Thx very much for posting, Saves me alot of time. I had to do a project about it and, well lazy to do a ressearch and compair information from web to web kina sucks, hope my teacher didn't find this page yet =)

  • when the techno part came up i though of a rave lol what is the name of that some?>

  • oh my gosh! this is perfect!! :D its juss what i was looking for! well done, this show is so useful! (:

  • At least they got unfair trails. Witch hunts are still going on in the form of "gang stalking" or "organized stalking" in the U.S. and A. Check it out folks.

  • i had 2 do a project on this last year and we had to make an invention that went with it i made up this potion that if u put it on the person's arm it would turn red if they were a witch and blue if they were inocent i know the witch thing wasn't true just to make it sound cool

  • the second one!! :where it says "DO YOU BELEIVE IN THE BOOGIE MAN"

  • ok i used this video at school for a demonstration a couple of years ago for EN101 and I really like this song....what is it?!! Does anyone know?

  • yo mayne u needa shut yo mouf im in college biaaatch

  • English major?

  • bravo that was really kewl!

  • i checked out a book on the Salem Witch Trials from the library,it talks about this Agnes Waterhouse, she made witchcraft and she cursed people who were mean to her or ignored her. They tortured women who did witchcraft or were witches.Oh heres another good fact,in Europe witches rode broomsticks

  • im going to the witch trail at night

    when i go on vaction

  • Oh man I remember when we had to study about this last year.....scary as hell but....who am I kidding, my 6th grade year was scary because of this....but I learned alot though (still scary 2 me)

  • now how dumb is that? say girls were witches? people knew nothing about anything back then. my language teacher told me in that day when someone was ill, they would cut them and believe the *bleeding* would take out what made u ill

  • HAHAHAHA the audio in your video scared the crap out of me lol, good job though

  • When you speak like a turd you shut your mouth !......go to school cunt !....instead of wrting crap

  • 2:01 yeah creepyyyyy

  • Only the first minute was good.

  • Puritan = White Taliban!! Blecch! yuck!

  • THE CRUCIBLE doesn't portray them burning convicted witches.

    Also, Tituba was from Barbados.

You left out one big difference between THE CRUCIBLE and the trials: Abigail Williams was 11/12 years old and John Proctor was in his '60s, and there was no love affair between them.

  • actually, they stop burning witches about 100 years before the salem witch trials

  • Nobody actually knows where Tituba was from. The only references toward her race that we have call her 'The Indian Woman'. This could mean any number of things, not to mention that her husband's name was John Indian. There are speculations, but nothing further than that.

  • They just had major PMS

  • What song is it i LOVE IT!
