I've played for years and have respected all the rules and reported every nub i see botting. I've even reported dumbass scammers who try their best to get you in the wild. And still no mod.. I think they have favorites, in my opinion. Who knows?

Lol, just reporting espically SPAM reporting the same personwont get you mod... you must doing other things to besides reporting your freind 10000 times is usless, jagex will see your freinds i.p and see that you reported and 10000 times and they wont make you mod... report diffrent players... and help players and use good grammar and following the rules will give you a better chance of getting moderator.

can you ever become a player moderator if you've broken a rule and have been muted before? (please answer back)

if you have broken a rule and been muted you will probably have a black mark. This black mark can disappear after a long time (e.g after a year), but if you did a really bad "crime" like real world traiding it will probably wont go away. Jagex say that there are player that have had a black mark before that have become a moderator but its not really often it happens. If you want to check if you have a black mark you just go to the homepage, click count magagement and then choose Appeal Offence

Only 17 mutes? Well, that's quite a lot. I think Jagex expects most player mods to have 0 mutes if anything. Sorry to disappoint you but I think Jagex is looking for players who spend their time helping the community and learn from their mistakes the first time.

Its not impossible to not become a mod after some mutes... lol... but i think you missed a major tip that got me my pmod status. Be generous... I would log on daily just to help newcomers with quests issues they were having.. I must have been spotted by a jmod or somthing..

That's not true.

Proper reporting is still one of the requirements for becoming a Player Moderator.

They have only put less emphasis on reporting. Still, it's an important part.

I always help new players in Lumbridge, and I report players who break the rules. Should I tell them what they did wrong, or say nothing and just report them. Maybe you could give me some tips of advice on RuneScape.

Hey Alectriciti, this video really helped me out. I have played for over 3 years, and I've always tried to be a mod, but I've always seemed to not have fun with the game when I was a focused "wannabe". I am going to start attending Jagex-held events and have fun, so maybe they'll see that I'm a good fit. I have always had a secure account, except for when I got hacked a year ago from a kid at school. the only two black marks I've ever gotten were from the hacker, and they were erased.
