i just love the way that the police tried to say that his heart attack was caused by protesters and who then bottled them while they attempted to save his life.
at least the truth is out now and the officer who committed this disgraceful act should be charged for murder or manslaughter and thrown away.
They didnt say that. They said that could have been the reason. At that time the information coming in was limated. ALL CCTV was switched off becasue of a change in law and it was only when the Guardian sent the video in that the information changed. The man was being obstructive prior to the video and his death was of natural causes, not of a baton strike. The officer will not be up for manslaughter charges. Ian had been pushed and shoved by dozens of officers and protesters that day.
It doesnt matter if the man was being obstructive prior to the video... the entire crowd was being obstructive.. it was a protest for petes sake.
the fact of the matter is that Ian Tomlinson was walking away from the police with his hands in his pockets when he was viciously attacked by an officer.
he later died of a heart attack minutes after he was attacked... manslaughter would be the most justifiable soilution as his heart attack was obviously caused by the shock of the vile attack
but the heart attack that caused his death was only moments after he was attacked.
its would be naive to say that what happened with the police and hsi heart attack are mere coincidence... the attack caused his heart attack.. which caused his death.
therefore from the view i see from it was the police officers fault.
Do you think being involved in a riot contributed? He was reportidly pushed and suved a number of times before, and after, the video of him from the Guardian. Are you sure that cops should be done for murder, or should we put anyone who had any phisical contact with him up on murder charges? I agree that the baton strike seemed unecessary, but i dont think the cop intended to KILL the guy from a strike to his lower leg...
Ian Tomlinson must have had a heart condition beforehand, but that attack by riot police was a f*cking disgrace. makes me sick to call myself English.
the bent fucking pigs killd him a c a b

Howso, when he was a NEWSPAPER SELLER GOING HOME FROM HIS JOB? Also, it came to light today that the cause of death was haemorrhaging.

This policeman must be removed from the police force immediately and prosecuted to the full extent of the law. This action was unjustified.

This video shows what we are dealing with. Police are not above the law. Let justice be done for the memory of Ian Tomlison.
