  • who wants to learn dutch oeeeeh that mofo

  • I live in Canada and I've taken French class sense I was four. I can barley read, write or speak French. I don't think I can learn another language :(

  • He was a great actor, he made me hate him. Fantastic.

  • trust me, we don't speak 3 or 4 languages fluently in Holland... I wish, haha.

My favourite film and Christoph Walz is just amazing as Hans Landa.

love Tarantino for writing this film.

  • people who can speak more than 1 language is considered smart. To be able to switch your brain almost instantly and express yourself is really cool. Bless us the Europeans and Asians!

  • i think if you as european speak only one language you kind of weird. most people speak at least 2. im german and at school the taught us english french and spanish and now im learning russian :D

  • @johanitaLoca

I lived with an Austrian/German exchange student for a semester. He could watch Inglourious Basterds without subtitles.

  • I'm German and I'm also leaning this four languages... O.o

  • in the real life as a person he have nothing to do with naztis he look like a very good person, like a very cool person to me..

  • Could that guy on the left kiss any more ass at the end?

  • yeah he talked about holland and dutch that's so cool for some reason XD

  • he plays the "bad guy" role perfectly

  • I want to lick Christoph all over. He is so beautiful.

  • He's hott

  • i dont think i will ever look at nicholas cage again

  • It makes me tremendously happy that he loves his role so much. I always felt like I sounded like some crazy nazi sympathizer when I said to my friends and family that Hans Landa was one of the most amazing characters, haha

  • im dutch, i speak 4 languages to

  • He got an oscar for best supporting oscar

  • @talkindurinthemovie no, you're not the only one. Lol

  • Comment removed

  • Am I the only one who finds him attractive....probably

  • @talkindurinthemovie oh no my friend...he's the sex.

  • @emmaonautopilot This. I agree.

  • @talkindurinthemovie defs not the only one. this man is just...so....there are no words.

  • DATS A BINGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @krnxanga haha yeah that was fuckin funny :P bingoo

  • did he get an oscar or anything for this role?

  • @kevindashid Yes, he won best supporting actor.

  • basterds is a awesome movie.. this guy made me laugh!!

  • We got a German, wants to die for his country! Oblige him!

  • @dwarventom - I was impressed with Brad Pitts role in this film and that sentence as well.

  • Christoph Waltz stole not only the show, but also the spotlight from Brad Pitt in Inglourious Basterds.

  • Comment removed

  • that's a bingo!

  • Whoever miced Waltz did a terrible job, you can barely hear him.

  • twisted smile,yet charming :)

  • I love his voice, I could listen to him talk for hours.

  • could listen to him all day

  • Best in the movie .. very great ...

  • chris's way of talking reminds me of my dad... weird. just plain weird.

  • I completely loved this movie. I never grow tired of watching it for the simple fact that it is unlike any film I've ever seen. The cinemetography is absolutely insane- Tarantino certainly outdid himself. The acting, couldn't have been better... it was everything you'd expect from a Tarantino film and more.

  • who agrees that his face is like ben kowalewicz from billy talent?

  • @aimanhukky12345 the reason I'm on this video is to see if anyone else thought this!

I saw Billy Talent live about 2 weeks ago, and watched Inglorious the night before last... and it was ALL I could think!

    Great actor.

    Great musician.

And I can't put my finger on how they're alike!

  • he was an amazing actor and all of his scenes were terrifyingly tense! 9.5/10 (he could have done with a hat lol)

  • just watched the movie over two more times

    ....this guy....Waltz

    can replace Heath Ledger

  • this video is shit.... sort the sound out

  • One of the most believable of actors.

  • This guy is amazing! god he is fluent at all 4 laguages. And his acting is superb!

  • This guy is definitely bright!

Besides, I feel sorry for Americans (and Brits) who never get the opportinity to learn a foreign language. Every new language you learn enriches your life.

    /Speak and understand 6 languages

  • one of the best roles ever! AMAZING!

  • terrific ,impecable performance from one of the best movies ever

  • he performance in IB was one of the greatest i have ever seen

  • NOW i will express why this movie is smart, the purpose of the movie is to make fun of war genre, of course hitler dont die in that way and also have dumb moments. Its not the DAMN BASED IN TRUE HISTORY . ALSO the dialogues are well thinked and dont forced (but that is also the flaw of the movie, not everyone understand them, its a little bit elitist) and thats why this movie is Great

  • Sir.Christopher Waltz ........FUCKING OWNED THIS MOVIE

  • this actor is awesome but this movie is the most stupid movie ever made.

  • @andreivich1 How the fuck did you get "stupid" from Inglourious Basterds?

  • @imtryingtobe what ?

  • @andreivich1 How is the movie stupid?

  • @imtryingtobe ok i will tell you why do i think that this movie is stupid.

the actors in the movie are grate more than enough action, but the story is very dumb cause how could they kill Hitler that easy no guards almost, all the most important nazi's where in the theater and also Hitler who had only two guards, it's very not realistic story line and that's my reason to call this movie stupid. but if you don't give a fuck about the story then i could say that this was a really nice movie .

  • i've not liked a bad guy so much as far as i can remember until i saw this guy on basterds. he's become a favorite of mine since i saw his performance. you can't help but to be intrigued by his poise and intellect as his role. as you watch the film, at times you almost feel like the interrogated and/or feel a sense of embarrassment for his interrogated subjects because his questioning and eye contact pierces into your soul. very brilliant actor.

  • In holland people speak 3 or 4 languages fluently?? Ah...No.

  • @Saralolaps; not all of them course, but quite many Dutch people I've got to know over the years spoke at least 3 languages; dutch, english & german. If you add French it's 4, and knowing French is also not uncommon. Besides, Dutch and German is pretty close.

I'm Scandinavian and I speak and understand 6 languages; Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, English, German & French.

The Swiss are similar. This is quite common in the small countries in Continental Europe.

  • This guy is a freak of nature as far as talent goes.

  • Christoph Waltz is to Inglourious Basterds as Heath Ledger is to The Dark Knight as F. Murray Abraham is to Amadeus as Javier Bardem is to No Country For Old Men.

  • it isnt treu that it is normal they speak in holland 5 langauges im dutch

most of the poeple speak prity good english thats it

  • @chahid1992 well obviously not you, my friend. Work on your spelling. Dank je wel.

  • @shittyfagg

Hij zegt de gemidelde nederlander en de gemidelde nederlander spreek geen 5 talen vloeind dat is gewoon bullshit

  • best actor in the world

  • Where I'm from in Québec you kind of have no choice but to be bilingual in french and english. Also, a lot of us, since we are often first generation Canadians at my age, we have grown up to know another language as well. Some of us with more than on nationality learn more. So, I know where Christoph comes from when he says what he does. x)

  • why do you need 2 interviewers? do you not have enough confidence to do it on your own??

  • "electronic guidance" XD i love Christoph Waltz!

  • One of the most surprising actors in a while.

  • Comment removed

  • it seems like americans are suprised that people can speak more then one language! haha Europe baby! Europe!

  • i know!!!!!! haha

    well i speak three ^^

christoph only speaks one more than me, ah! :')

  • @stjarthalbajs i think most americans learn other languages growing up, but they don't need them as adults so they forget

  • @stjarthalbajs americans are mostly europeans..

  • @Hockeymask007 that sound pretty contradictively!

  • @stjarthalbajs I speak 3 languages and learning the 4th!

  • fucking amazing person and actor!

  • waltz looks SO much like the pregnant cop from fargo

  • great he mentioned the Dutch! yes, we do speak mulitple languages. maybe it's because our own sounds so awful, haha. Christoph would agree, looking at him smiling at 1:01

  • Why is he only nominated as supporting actor??? If he wasn't Inglourious Basterds' protagonist than who was???

  • brad pitt honey....

  • It was a rethorical question. Of course Pitt was the official main character but Waltz stole the show.

  • Don't you mean antagonist? xD

  • Well if you see Landa as the protagonist Aldo Raine's the antagonist! ;D

  • If he doesn't win Oscar night . . . God help the Academy . . .

  • I think Ralph Fiennes role as Amon Göeth was also very well done in Schindler's List. But this piece of acting was superb! I'd be surprised if he weren't nominated for Best Actor on Oscar night!

  • why did this get a thumbs down?

  • Christoph was THE best in this movie.....unbelievable acting, persuasive, talented and he makes you LAUGH.....will be looking for more of him

  • In the last decades I saw him in european TV-Productions as a fanatic in medieval times, as an prussian officer in a mini-series called "Napoleon and Europe" and in many crime-movies.

And I always thought: "Wow, what an actor!"

Finally he got his international breakthrough.

  • he is a great actor! A gloden globe, SAG, and a BAFTA what else has to be said? and he is so modest I would be ecstatic

  • soberb performance!very inteligent..

  • i think the guy who did the farmer does an amazing job too...

  • so awesome in the movie...and I think 99.99% of people who have seen it agree with me.

  • he must surely get the oscar....he`s amazing in the film.

  • In the movie, Landa says that he knows how it is to feel like a rat.

What can make an SS officer to feel like that? And what can make him spare Jewish girl (two times!) instead of killing her? Jewish blood in his veins - for example. If you don`t like this theory, there is an other possibility and you know what I`m talking about.

  • Maybe it's a stupid question -

    but what's the other possibility?

  • Let`s see! ;)

    1. Hammersmack laughs when he tries to flirt with her and tells she knows everything about his love affairs - in front of people. After that, he kills her. I doubt it was because her cooperation with Aldo - at least, Landa has nothing against killing Hitler.

    2. He tries to rescue one of his soldiers, the telegraphist, but he doesn`t give a shit about the rest, who are about to die in fire in the cinema. Why this man is so important to him?

  • 1.What can make an SS officer to feel like that?

2.And what can make him spare Jewish girl (two times!) instead of killing her?

3."Jewish blood in his veins" - why do you think so?

    4.What's the other possibility?

    6. Why does he kill her?

    7. Why is this man so important to him?

Can you answer these seven questions, please!

Because your 2nd post didn't help me. Actually it made me more confused.

What do you want to say??

Looking forward to your answer. Im very excited :)

  • 1. Only two things - Jewish origin or homosexual orientation.

    2. Understanding. Both of them had dangerous secrets.

    3. His knowledge of "rats".

    4. He was homosexual.

    6. Hammersmarck knew about his orientation and was doped enough to speak about it.

    7. Telegraphist was his lover.

  • wow

Now I have to watch the movie again!

    Thank you!

  • You`re welcome!

And the movie is worth to see it twice :)

  • omg -.-

  • PART 1

    1. well.. most of the time the personality of a person or a character its about the way he was raised and the environment he was in.. in hans landa case its quite complicated because like christopher waltz said hans landa is sorta a mix of personalities we can relate with which one of it... so i bet someone dark happenned to him but at the same time he kept the personality that was left :)

  • PART 2

    2. on the first time that he "met" shosanna he didnt kill her because she was too far away and the second time it was impossible to know who she was, because she changed of identity..

  • PART 3

3.3. Hm well i didnt know that he had jewish blood on his veins but now it makes sence because hitler had jewish blood on his veins and thats why he hated jews so much and maybe thats the reason why landa would go after jews but its also contraditory because he said is a detective and not a jew hunter and he never shown any signal about hating although is a nazi lol

  • PART 4

    4. Other possibility for what?lol

    6. I'm guessing that your wondering about von hammersmark...well he killed her because she was betraying her country because when he's talking with aldo and "the little man" he told them that she was traitor and that she got what she deserved...

  • i hope he speak 5 languages in a movie german english french italian and na'vi xD

  • Amazing actor.

  • totally agree!

  • @babixtinkerbel i concur.

  • lol that's so cool languages are the best i speak also a few and i'm currently learning hebrew =D

  • I think his accent is really cool lol. I don't hear the way people from Austria speak often in fact never lol but I just like the way his English sounds lol. Same with Mads Mikkelson even though he is from Denmark, I like his accent too, I don't know how to describe it but they just sound interesting when they speak English.

Anyway enough with my rambling, Christoph is a hot piece of ass.

    Excuse my Americanness lol.

  • such i great actor, i wold like to see him in other movies. does anybody know another film. by the way iam chilean.

    ;)

  • I know he played Leopold in the 80's version of Kate and Leopold. Look him up on Wikipedia. A list of movies he's been in will be on his page. :)

  • 'Of course, who wants to learn dutch?' LOL

  • i love him and his sexy accent! :D i really love him a lot!

  • He reminds me a little of Robert knepper, but he is a damn good actor!

  • you too?i thought i was the only one who thought he was like robert...

  • he has a sexy accent

  • Christoph Waltz is the best actor of 2010.

Quenton Tarintino is the best director of 2010. I hope they both win at the 2010 Academy Awards; they deserve it for the movie"Inglouious Basterds". The language and Mr. Waltz's laugh and acting were awesome & superb. The very best cast & crew....

  • "ahreebaderchiiii"

  • @djisii Vast difference between what we call "English" and what you call "English"

  • Yes we Americans speak "American" wtf is American? don't be a jackass.

  • To the 2 idiots that commented about the 4 languages speaking capacity: I bet you idiots can speak 4+ languages, but can you get even close to this guy acting ability? Because the purpose of the interview is exactly that last part... ACTING

  • To the idiot that totally misinterpreted the comments, we still think it'sa an incredible actor, we're just pointing out it's not that big a deal to us, for Amerifags, I guess it is.

  • Is it really necessary to call Americans "Amerifags" when they are appreciating European talent? Honestly.

  • @Lomelindi88 I don't know, sometimes I just get pissed off at people calling me stupid. I'm sorry for calling Americans Amerifags... I just kinda get sick of Americans from time to time

  • Best actor in the film, v impressed

  • What Heath Ledger did for " the dark knight", Christoph did for "Inglourious Bastards"

  • He was so good in IB, blew me away

  • He was the best thing in this movie, I can't believe its taken so long for hollywood to take notice

  • when I saw the movie i immediatly saw the actings skills and amazing character design then i looked his name up and suddenly see that he has got an award already for his craft.

  • he's the riddler...would be interesting to see him.

    the joker should be ddl

  • He almost did steal the whole movie! definitely topped all the other actors. Great acting!

  • What a performance. A role he was born to play for sure. Totally stole every scene.

  • Yes, i agree. after the golden globes and the oscars, he'll be at the top of the casting list. its his time to shine.

  • ahhh, he's german-it's in his blood!!!!!

  • wasn't he born in austria?

  • He isn´t German - He is Austrian.

  • @RaoulDuke606 he is also jewish...

  • I don't think he actually is. One of his sons supposedly is in training to become a rabbi. His ex-wife was a New Yorker, and it's likely that maybe she was Jewish.

But God, wouldn't that have been the most ridiculous irony...

  • Lol he is austrian-jewish.. and yes it is an irony... but regardless.. waltz is an austrian jewish last name so idk.

but he is an amazing actor.. deserves the oscar

  • he is a juden?.... nein nein nein nein nein... he doesnt look like 1

  • @Tigergruppen88 Waltz is a jewish last name... his son is a rabbi

  • @DaveDooval

waltz is not reall a name associated with german jews. his son is a rabbi but he waltz isnt known to be jewish. maybe he is but its unlikely.

  • Actually he's not Jewish. His first wife was. At least that's what I'm told.

  • @RaoulDuke606

    No, he is german.

his mother is from austria and he is born in austria but he has the german head of state.

  • @RaoulDuke606

he has a german father and the german nationality and only recently aplied for the austrian. so technically he´s both.

  • @tresckow Both German and Austrian? Kinda like.. someone else.

  • @muscari1994

    3...2...1... hitler remark! dingdingding jackpot!!!!

  • @tresckow not jackpot , we like to call it a BINGO !

  • Waltz deserves an Academy Award or an Oscar for his GLORIOUS performance!

  • HE MUST WIN AN OSCAR!!!

He is a master villian! He can speak 4 diffrent languages!!!

  • Really isn' that big of a deal to speak four languages.

I mea, Welcome to Belgium, we all speak four languages

  • so do we swiss.

  • Yeah, well to Americans it's impressive.

So you speak four languages. You want a sticker or something?

  • Was merely pointing out it's not that big of a deal, his acting, on the other hand, is very impressive.
