  • Roland Speirs = bulletproof (lol)....

  • really good men !!!

  • great video !

  • Crying :'( I'm so proud of him :)

  • Im so high I think I see Speirs right infront of me! :D

  • Easy Co never fought in the Pacific. The Japanese heard he was coming and surrendered.

  • SPIERS SPIERS SPIERS SPIERS....

  • People give Speirs a hard time, yes he did massacre the Germans but then again war was never going to be humane, I say that as a soldier it is to side with the devil to do what must be done to achieve victory for yourself and your country if you think Speirs was bad, live life in his shoes and you would know that war is the problem not Speirs.

  • @zerker12568901 tottaly agree.... Speirs was a decorated War hero... i have so much respect for him... none of this fucked up youth generation could ever do what these brave men did to liberate us...... and i hope to 1 day meet him in the next Relm.... i Salute you Lt col Ronald Speirs...

  • @zerker12568901 Please never forget that the USSR - as well as other allies heroes- did equally exist ,and without the total collaboration , USA wouldnt make the job .Concerning this aspect, at that world decision time, one should consider Ronald Speirs, not solely an American Hero, but also a WORLD one.

  • what book nmeharg1?

  • Man the guy that plays Speirs is overated!

But i have a question for you, I saw the entire series on here but i never saw the part where speirs is shooting the Germans at 2:30, you know why?

  • its in episode 3 when Malarky, Muck, Blithe and, More are talking about the rumors about him its just after they take the town

  • Thanks, i saw episode three but never saw that part, the guy that made the video must have taken it out, strange thing is it looks like a completely different screen from where Malarky is taking to the German/American guy, that's where he shoots them right?

  • yeah I think that was the point though conveying that they don't really know if it really happened

  • Lol Malarky knew... But okay thanks bro.

  • by the way do you have a shelby?

  • Its nice to meet someone who actually knows what a Shelby is lol. But no not yet...

  • I love mine its not actually a shelby its a regular mustang GT with a shelby body but it looks so fucking awesome and turns so many heads

  • Actually the part where you see it is in bastogne i think, when the guys are in the foxhole talking about the rumors.

  • Dick Winters confirms both rumors about Speirs in his book Beyond Band of Brothers

  • i always thought he was like a ghost. love him all the same

  • Awsome video Spiers is my favourite character. The guys is a legend just running through each line.

  • did he really wasted all the Germans after giving them cigarettes?

    or a myth?

  • As far as I'm aware he never confirmed or denied those rumors. But if I remember correctly, Speirs suggested to Winters that the rumours were true but never gave any details. Also I believe there was an incident with a drunken sergeant in one of his squads that Speirs shot for refusing orders and being drunk on duty. This actually saved a lot of his men. Anyway, I don't know if any of the rumors are true. But I have a lot of respect for this man. Just as I have for all the other men in WW2.

  • Your pretty much right. The POW incident was never confirmed or denied, but is widely believed to be true.

The sergeant incident is however true. After the incident, Spiers reported it to his commanding officer, but the next day the Sergeant was KIA, so the matter wasn't taken any further

  • yh he did

  • if he did do it, it would be consider War Crimes because you can't execute enemy combatants after they surrender.

He never really confirm nor denied the accusations because it keep his soldiers in line.

There was an incident where he shot one of his officer in the head, killing him for being drunk, which save many soldiers' lives.

  • Oops I hit 5 by accident. It was 4 and they were 105s not 88s.

  • LOL, it was 5 not 20. There were 50 german soldiers there at Brecourt Manor and his platoon of 12 were sent to take them out, which they did handily. And his plan of attack is still taught at West Point to take out a fixed position.

  • good vid, except for the nickelback. lol

  • Stop arguing.... this is a great video... end of story

  • R.I.P Ronald Spiers was the one of the best Leaders!!! a real Soldier

  • A good leader leads by example Ronald Spiers was a leader every soldier wishes to follow even this 1.

A Co 27th Eng BN (CA)

  • he died about 2 years ago. RIP Soldier!!

  • I hate nicholeback, but this is great!!!

  • Ronald Spiers died in 11 april 2007.

He had fought in in World War 2 and in Korea. He disabled 105 mm guns who was aimed at the Utah beach. He Worked then with Richard Winters. He was known as a one of the best soldiers the world had ever seen.

  • wait what? i dotn get it what speirs do ?

he just ran back and forth or did he plant an explosive?

    im confuse

  • amazing video...CURRAHEE(think that was how they spell it)

  • ^.^ Love it, I just love it! Speirs is awesome!

  • agreed with 'guycallens' ...RIP american hero Ronald Spiers........That kind of leadership on the battlefield is what wins wars...they couldnt have picked a better actor as well to portray the chill that spiers gave whenever he was around folks...Matthew Settle played it Great!! 'Cigarette anyone' HA HA HA...Classic!

  • RIP american hero ronald speirs

  • My Farthers luetenant was similar to speirs, my farther was in the Durham Light Infantry 50th Northumbrian division, his luetant was a man in his late 40s who was vetern of the Somme and Passendale and had seen so much he wasn't afraid of anything and would take more objectives than was asked of him but at the serious risk of his own men

  • when i saw band of brothers on cold war but speirs ran himself but the naizs didnt see him and didnt him. i went like "DAMN!" but speirs got lucky alive in during cold war.

  • cold war? r u fucking retarded? lol

  • r u fucking nerd? lol

  • hahahahahahahaha!!!! you think im a nerd because I know the fucking difference between World War 2 and the Cold War? I think the better question is are u a fucking tard?

  • omfg... knowing the difference between WW2 and the Cold War makes one a nerd?

Do Youtube a favor and stop posting comments... dumb ass

  • Speirs was a murderer, but there is no denying he knew what it took to be a bloody good soldier, and he stuck to it. he was one of the best soldiers I have ever heard of

  • Speirs was not a murderer, it is still debated on weather the rumors were true.

  • they do it every day "morales".,there iraq ,afganshitland and s.l and congo and probably in your city, you just dont know it.............

  • Awesome BoB (lol its bob) is the best show ever!

But i think you shouldnt of shown the part where he kills all the POWs cuz that doesnt show heroism

  • they were Naizs, kill em all.

  • Your name is fitting, BigDumbJerk. Murder is murder, no matter if it was the bad guys.

  • They werent 'bad guys' they were Nazis. It was a war. The object in a war is to win. If a highly decorated U.S. found this to be the best way, then who are you to judge.

  • Again like I said to confederate880 the rumors are still debated today but it's your opinion and I respect that as well as confederate880's opinion

  • Not all German soldiers were Nazi's I know a veteran who made friends with a German medic and the medic thought Hitler was insane

  • DarkF, I agree with you, that was not right to kill them... we condemn others for such things, yes?

  • oh... thanks ;) haha

  • its so sad

b/c guys... he died 3yrs ago (I Think)

sad right, but his memory lives on, justified as we talk about him now

  • Actually, he died in April of '07, if I'm not mistaken.

  • je trouve le montage superbe, seulement la zik irai mieux a winters, malarkey ou meme compton

    sinan c 5/5 assuré =)

  • Ronald Spiers ran into enemy lines in real life, so in iraq someone can try it like him, he might make it.

  • speirs was a true badass!!

  • If we had men like this in afghanistan n iraq the war would have been finished 2 yr ago

  • we DO have people like that in Iraq

and in my country's case, in Afganistan

but unfortunately, so does the other side.

  • this guy is amazing, i wonder if he really did all of that stuff with his airborne division, if so he has more guts than most ppl

  • hELLZ YEA I TRIED IT AND GOT SHOT IN THE ARM IT HURTS PPL DON'T GO TO WAR!!!!!

  • Everything you see him do in the show he did actually do, I think the war was won because of people like him, the man is truly legendary.

  • it's true he did it.. my great grandfather Carwood Lipton knew him they fought together during the attack noone believes it but it's true he di run through the city and he did run all the way back.. just a shame he's gone i liked he's stories about the war xD

  • @Henrik334 dude are you serious that your Great Grandfather was Carwood Lipton? that's fucking awesome!!! :D

  • Any one who is going to Iraq, dont try to run like ronald spiers into enemy lines!!

    THATS HOW YOU GET SHOT!!!

  • lmoa hellz yea i tried it and got shot in the arm(this is my lil bro's account)

  • sure u did shooter.

  • My Hero!!!Ronald Speirs
