I've been trying to do the bonus for this mission for god knows how long until I decided to use this H/H flagging trick and it worked. Also since I was after the cartographer title I figured out that there is no way on Earth anyone can map the whole area in the southern part of the map within 10 minutes. It took me almost 20 minutes to reach all the parts of that area while trying not to die from scarab mobs.

Thanks for this tip. The developers really made this mission too difficult :(

Very nice, but i didn't quite understand how the H/H can come to you after you've teleported.

This still works as of 11/18/2010. I just did it on Hard Mode. After 10 unsuccessful runs with heroes/henchmen, and an even more unsuccessful run trying with real people (idiots, rather), I managed to get it using this glitch with a nice scarab spawn. Arenanet really needs to nerf this bonus a bit. You actually need to kill the 3 bosses AND their 2 guards to complete the bonus, cant just rush the bosses. Bring a mesmer hero to interrupt the annoying monk boss if you get him.

i find no scarab spawn to finish the mission!

the scarab spawn at 1:20 of the video sometimes takes 3 or 4 tries to get it - annoying but it is a much easier way to get bonus. It must have taken 5 or 6 tries to get the movie footage. Keep trying and the spawn will happen.

I tried it this way and the 1st time i got lucky, was able to aggro that same boss with any longbow, and then just capped his ass....then the henchmen + hero trick worked too

What I don't understand is why no enemies come when the timer starts?

The thimer doesnt start until the king takes to the throne. That is why you click him 10 seconds before and make him wait (0:58 in video). Once the bonus is acheived, then you click on the king again so he follows and you can lead him to the throne. Ten minutes of healing and you both bonus and mission.

When the timer starts, a few groups come to aggro you and the king. Park a healer on the king and he should be ok,the remaining 7 of your party should be able to handle whatever they throw at you. I never bother trying to get at the worms, just sit tight and keep healing. I edited out the last 10 minutes of waiting/fighting to shorten up the video.

Great. Though you dont have to walk all the way around, you can just walk over half the bridge where the 1:st boss is and they will all teleport down.

I just tried it on my ranger (don't need a primary, after all), and it worked on my first try. At first I thought that the henchie trick didn't work, but then I saw them teleporting over, so all was right.

Yes this trick still works - but the boss or the scarab is often not close enough - if not, when you will need to restart the mission and cross your fingers again. Not sure what the percentage is... 3 tries for this video, and I got it twice. I made this trip around the week of 2008-05-11. Glad it worked for you Xerrangelo. :)
