You say the vatican has enough money to aid our defecit? Fine, then why do we also see celebrities on commercials trying to place a guilt trip on everyone with their agenda... "for the price of a cup of coffee you could feed a starving child in another country. These same celebrities each can afford to feed the entire countries they talk about and still remain millionaires.
If Bill Donohue wants people to stop attacking Judeo-Christianity then maybe the vatican should make more of an effort to care about people. The vatican has enough money to aid our defecit. Also I can't help but feel that Bill Donohue is making things worse. If he wants progress then why is he pointing fingers instead of becoming the change he wants to see? Blaming people you don't like will not create progress. Only more problems. I find Bill's book insulting to common human ethics.

I'm sorry, but I do have to disagree with you. The reason that the catholic church didn't openly oppose the nazis was because they didn't want to get on negative terms. There was a great amount of good that the catholics did undercover, transporting jews out of the country, harboring them at the risk of their own lives. They didn't have much good to do if they openly opposed the nazis. I'm an atheist, so I do want the truth to be heard about what happened...
