The camera angels in this scene are brilliant.

Tim Curry as Darkness wipes the floor with all the cgi monsters and villans of today, i wish i could take Loki out of Thor and Avengers and put Darkness in, he'd be so scarey!!! I love Legend, it just seems to age really well with it's real effects and make up.

Could any actor have done a better jon than tim curry?....nope. he was simply the best. And this movie is a reason why so much of todays stuff sucks...compared to the detail and set design, todays movies look pretty crappy. I think ridlay scott did such beautiful work with everything, this movie should be made as an example for all future films about how much better everything looks with actual hand maid detail not cgi. This entire movie is a sheer feast on the eyes at the very least.

This was an amazing movie... Tim Curry was great as the Lord of Darkness, but it was his rich, powerful, seductive voice that made his character strangely compelling... He wanted Lilly because he wanted to change here into the Lady of Darkness... Tom Cruise was pretty negative about having been in this movie and it is the only movie of his that I really like.

Tim Curry had a few really good roles but, in my humble opinion, his portrayal of Lord Darkness was his best one by far. Movie fact: He is portraying Darkness, not the Devil - the Devil is his father who's never shown but heard; giving Darkness advice on how to seduce Lili is one example. Excellent casting, make-up, scenery, cinematography, soundtrack - everything. Saw this when it came out in '85 & it still remains on of all-time faves. Peace, peoples

@xandyx21 there were plans to release a novel tie -in but becuase this film flopped at the box office, the plans were scrapped. The original script by William Hjortsberg was quite different to the final movie, more epic..more characters..and yeah, way more violent and R rated. You should definitly read it, it's like a novel anyway it's quite long, read a chapter a day like a book! if you PM me i'll send you the link :)
