I too used to be a loyal zune customer until my 1st gen zune finally kicked the bucked last month. I've had my iTouch for about two weeks and already love it! Look, I know the iPod Touch is more expensive and doesn't hold as many songs (yet) but I beg of you, SEE THE LIGHT. You are correct. It's absolutely a matter of what you're looking for in a media player. My cousin also refuses to buy the new iTouch because she prefers more music and better battery life. I mean yeah, a zune touch would be relatively awesome but when mine died on me I was just so heartbroken! Idk though, given what's been said in magazines and on websites by actually zune staffers, we can't even be 100% sure that zune is even going in that direction. I guess we'll see in the coming months.

well there are definite flaws with the first zunes, but the newest ones work fine, i have a little 4G and don't have any complaints with mine except that it's harder to find videos for it online at times.

i would love for zune to come out with a touch screen but i'm hoping that when they do they'll have ironed out the kinks and glitches already before turning them out to the mass public for consumption, and THEN figuring out what needs to be done.

A flawless zune would be ideal, yes, but the reality of it is that they're under an enormous amount of pressure from consumers to produce. Whatever it is the folks at zune are working on, I'm pretty sure they're having to rush to put it together, which means the occasional, but inevitable, kink. Even though I've pretty much been completely converted to Apple, I'll still probably purchase the zune3 just to see for myself if it's worthy of the iPod's competition. The iTouch doesn't really appeal to me in that it has everything many other mp3 players have. The only thing that really makes it different is the apps. The Archos Media Player actually has apps too except the hard drive on it is 120 GBs compared to the iPod's 32 GB.

Zune touch is gonna happen, It's not like Microsoft is so far behind apple they don't know how to make a touch screen.
