  • Amazing.

  • A shocking excellent surprise to find a Peel Session of that lovely song. Very thanks for posting and sharing it with us. John Peel: A 'Sir' in the history of music, although he was not a musician.

  • The late great John Peel, all time great DJ. Love this live version of Food for Thought, prior to its release two months later, Feb 1980.

  • So very lucky to have seen them just before this bludgeoned it's way into the English charts.

They were amazing back then.....A real reggae/dub band.

Still listen to Signing Off every week. CLASSIC!

  • What bands didnt he break? the most influential person in British music ever, period!

  • At last a man who makes sense when talking about UB40 ( Beckham742 ). The first two albums were raw, fresh, exciting, vibrant, brash and relevant for the time. Then it all turned cacky and UB40 lost their way, sold out and took the populist route.

  • john peel........the saviour of music
