  • lol in my youth i could never get past machine gun willy. I can beat it now but yeah

  • I still can't, I admit it.

I beat Double Dragon II on grand master and Battletoads without warping, but Double Dragon's got me stumped. I can only figure my brain subconsciously won't allow me to win so I can keep playing it forever.

    But, that's O.K.

  • @BigBangBlitz wow lol to this day i cant beat battletoads. I could never get past that driving stage.

But on machine gun willy your best bet is just to keep him above or below you and keep doing the hair pull move on him as he walks toward you :D Honestly i think Jimmy is easy in comparison to him though lol

  • I know all the tricks from all of history every bug everything I could find on the internet. Keeping him off the screen, overlapping his sprite, hovering over the spike pit.. no matter what I do I am utterly incapable of beating this NES game. I just have the worst luck. I did get to Jimmy once or twice and he spin kicked the last bit of my life away.

But again, everyone has their kryptonite, and i'm O.K. with that.

  • I got more info and entertainment from that UFO than the Double Dragon run.

  • Theme song for double dragon was so fucking fire!

  • LOL at Abobo and his big ass head. Gotta love double dragon. But Double Dragon II: The Revenge was so much better. it was one of my favorite NES titles.

  • It's still in my top ten.

  • @BigBangBlitz I just remember playing that game over and over again. NES had countless random ass classics. One of the more memorable games from that era for me is Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers. Whenever I bring that up to people who didn't play it I get the weirdest looks, but that game was incredibly fun. Lifeforce, featured in the video, is my favorite side scrolling shooter of all time. NES had it all, from point and click adventures (shadowgate) to obscure japanese tiles (golgo 13).

  • holy crap, this double dragon portion is maddening. he sucks so bad at it.

  • It's actually one of the first times he ever played it. He actually didn't like the game very much.

  • You can tell he's relying waaaay to much on turbo when playing double dragon. Just throw them in the hole!! Couldn't they have at least cut it so that it didn't look really terrible?

  • Even as a 7 year old, I was better at Double Dragon than those idiots.

  • For an expert he sure sucks dick at Double Dragon

  • LOL at 6:16 they have him with 2 lives again.

  • @INFPGamer He went back through the game from the start.

  • imagine how pissed you would be if you ordered this when it came out.

  • He got 50,000 on Double Dragon?!

  • I don't know how HE did, but yes you can. In Mission 2, there is an area of the construction supplies that, when you swing the bat at it, repeatedly gives you points. Using that you can teach Billy ALL of the fighting moves and rack up a killer score. And I suppose he never thought about knocking them off the edges of platforms for instant kills either? I mean yes, Mission 4 IS designed to rob you of all your lives before you take 10 steps in it, but please, use ALL the strategy you can!

  • ...Didn't get the reference, huh?

  • The Wizard, to clear up any confusion.

  • Oh man, I love that movie. As cheesy as it is now...

  • What in God's name were the higher ups behind this video thinking? "Let's get the worst Double Dragon player in HISTORY to do a walkthrough. It's brilliant!"

  • What's really messed up? I've never finished a Double Dragon game in my -life-. Put me in this stage, and I'd probably -still- do better than whoever this is. XD Gaaaahhhh...great marketing decision by these folks.

  • I talked to Jim about this. He didn't play the game much because he wasn't really a fan, but someone had to do it so he knuckled up and did it since Shane wasn't capable and Nauert purportedly wanted no part in it.

  • But why do a tips and tricks kinda video when you have no one around that's any good at the game, much less can do anything helpful to contribute to the video? @_@ That's all I don't understand. Why do this at all, if one can't do it any better than rather poorly? What, did they need a paycheck that badly? Heh.

  • They didn't really get paid. They mostly did it for noteriety.

Thing is they didn't pick the games or have any time to go back and practice or anything. Keep in mind all these games were practically brand new when this video was made.

  • Good gravy, he dies twice in the SAME FRIGGIN LOCATION! You'd think he would've learned from the first death.

  • is the point of this video to show how much u suck at Double Dragon?

  • this is clearly a world-class dd player we're dealing with here

  • LOL

  • I don't know, I got a kick out of watching someone get their shit rocked in Double Dragon for 10 minutes. It's nice to know I was actually better at something than someone professional.

  • Double Dragon on NES has a kickass soundtrack for 8 bit games, and the theme song kicks even more ass. Thanks for uploading

  • No problem.

Slightly off topic: Suikoden is one of my favorite soundtracks.

  • Mine too. The gameplay in Suikoden is kickass and the soundtrack...jaw dropping. I'll have to find the mp3's and put them on here. If I can, I will send you the link

  • I've got em'

Check out a place called Galbadia Hotel for the entire series worth, though you might have to tool around the forums for a while.

  • Thanks

  • Jim Allee gets his Double Dragon playing powers from his totally radical mullet hairs...

  • I'm pretty sure the only reason they had Jim Allee in this video was because his name vaguely resembled Jimmy Lee.

His mullet power was ineffective against Chintais.

  • Oh my. This fellow is terrible at Double Dragon. Getting killed TWICE at the two Chins after the moving bricks? That's a no-no that late in the game.

  • That's nothing, this one time I pressed down until I fell into the spike pit.

I was already on my last man too.

  • were you one of the guys playing in this video?

  • No, and if I were I would not publicly admit it.

  • How did this guy even get on the team?

  • His iron will and never-say-die attitude in the face of adversity.

  • These guy's strategy for Double Dragon, in a nutshell:

Get hit by the moving wall. Suck at fighting the enemies, and die. Restart, and die again.

  • this guy fuckin sucks! :/

LMAO maybe the tip was not to suck ass like him. Like do the opposite of what he just did.

maybe that SWEET MULLET is to blame

  • Eight minutes? Haha, look at the next in the series to see it continue on even longer.

  • Double Dragon is the shit! Mission 4 wasn't that hard, I never got to see the ending. They don't make it like they used to
