I´m not that much of a real Metallica fan but the "St. Anger" Album is absolutely pure and rock the shit out. As I´ve bought and watched "Some kind of monster" I was totally fascinated by the portrait of the band and the origin of this album. You can hear the emotional chaos they had in every note. But they did it - and this means respect for the whole band. Cheers mates.

The whole problem to this album is the snare, just make it sound tight like a fucking snare drum should sound in metal. The riffs are music are fine i think and I'm and old school Metallica fan I prefer their earlier stuff but they had to put this out all bands go through this period especially if they span more than a few decades.

It's a trend to hate on the St. Anger album. Look at the time period for that band, look at what they were dealing with, this was their way of getting out that anger and aggression. Too bad if it isn't as technically sound and full of guitar solo's, it's a great album and the naysayer's will never accept that because hating on this album is the popular thing to do!

Well in my moddest opinion... I like the drum mix in this album. It makes the album really sluggish, and to be sincere, i allways hated the over-produced metallica (Load, Re-load and Black Album). Call me dumb, and i am tottaly aware that Lars screwed up on the drums on this album, but this was like a return to the primordial roots of everyband who starts playing on they're garages and they're snares sound like they are smacking trashcans.

After the black album they slowed down to radio style which was cool, but its like come on really?.... I think St.Anger is one of their best thrash metal albums and plus Lars was a drumming beast!!
