When I was a kid I saw Buddy do "drum clinics" at my local music store twice for 35 bucks admission. It was amazing... maybe even beyond amazing but there were no long lines to see him play... Actually Buddy Rich did used to have a 'bit' for lack of a better term, where his drum set would rotate upside down. It's here on Youtube. Just look up Buddy Rich spinning drum solo. Buddy was amazing, I didn't see the need for him to do it with his endless book of chops, but he DID do it. (I am SUPER JEALOUS that you got to see him play in person, by the way!!!!!!! )
