Even though we are distressed and heart broken to see Jesus suffer, his message was and is still clear, love, pray, and forgive for those who cant love, pray, and forgive them self's.
Jesus...the only that COULD pay the price.....we are destitute, straying, beleaguered, spiteful, cynnical, selfish, egotistical, hateful beings......its no wonder we can't get into heaven.....was the bar really set that high? Must we free ourselves from those self-indulgences that stain our souls? ...................Accept Jesus and let Him wash away all that crap that kept you anchored to your mortal cesspool....He can bring you to the light & clean & feed your wanting soul!!!! God forgive me.
@TheAnubisDrake Not me bro because i fully believed in him.......Why did you think he got nailed to the cross for? To save mankind, and to show us to love one another because God see through men and all he saw was hate and the will to kill. Love change it all. That's why their only 2 type of person in this world. The good and the bad.
@a2004togia So are you saying that belief means you never have to die? Cause I know dozens of christians that would disagree with you if the could still speak. There have been millions.
I think that if he existed at all, Jesus was killed for being a person making a claim that often got you killed back then. Now we only lock people up like that in padded rooms.
I resent the implication that I am a bad person for not believing. I tend to think otherwise.
So how do you know that you are a good person? Again I hope that you are a good person. There are only two choices anyway my friend. Its either his will be done...or if you don't choose to then your will be done.
@archangelcats Good and evil are entirely subjective. Even the god character in the bible changes his mind often about what to do and not to do to be a good person.
How do you know you are good person?
I do not harm others or myself. I think that makes me a good person.
Also don't threaten me with hell. I don't believe in that any more than I believe in your sky wizard.
How would you like it if I went around giddy at the thought of your eternal torture in some other religions afterlife?
How can you say that good and evil are entirely subjective? And again being good you say for yourself may not be the same what others may think of you. I for one cannot say I'm a good person. I try to be one though with the best of my abilities. It is a constant struggle for me.
So if you lie and it doesn't hurt the person....will that make you good?
I will never threaten you with hell my friend. It is not for me to judge.
Threat of hell? Who opened that argument my friend? For all i know you may end up in heaven (even if you choose not to believe) and I may not end up there. And I don't mind that you may be giddy at the thought of my eternal torture on some other religions afterlife. Again I cannot judge what you think of me. All i know is again if you don't believe I respect and love you the same. That is what my champion believes in and teaches.
and kindly show me the passages where God changes his mind on what is good and not. I will do my best to explain to you what the passage really means. At least just to show that what I believe in is not just wishful thinking. I was an atheist for 30 years...
@archangelcats "....or if you don't choose to then your will be done."
What exactly do you call that? ^
I already told you how/why I can say morality is entirely subjective. Even your god is wishywashy about it. One moment it's "Thou Shall Not..." Then the very next chapter he is ordering the murder of 1,000's.
Lying does hurt people. It distorts their perception of reality and renders them unable to make fully informed decisions. The fact that you don't see lying as hurting people bothers me.
My friend that line is saying that if you don't follow his way. Then follow your path. And I even said who knows you might get there I won't. Believe me i say that most sincerely and not sarcastic. So kindly state which part of the bible are you referring to and I will try to answer that to the best of my ability. If i can't answer that i will tell it to you straight out. I don't know many things but we could find the answers together my friend.
If you want to find it on your own then i respect and wish that you find the answers. ask when did i say I don't see lying as hurting people? I was asking you if that is good or not at your point of view because you said that morality is entirely subjective. So how can you differentiate good and bad? So how can it bother you if each person's morality is subjective? PS I hope you just don't google the bible part....open and read it. And hopefully i can answer the questions you are seeking. peace
@archangelcats I'm sure you've read your bible. As I have. I am not here to debate what it says or your interpretation, or mine, of what it says.
You didn't outright say that lying doesn't hurt people. The way you asked the question implied it.
As to how I differentiate good and bad, I do it the exact same way you do. Through the teachings and examples set by the adults in my life growing up. With added changes to that morality set with new information and experiences.
My friend...tell me where in the bible is that so we can discuss it. It will be vague for me to answer it. Without having the context of the time frame, place and history. Not just sweeping general statements that some even may not be true. Kindly open and read it again my friend. When i read it i was exactly like your view. Angry and always in question. Always hitting at christians about their so called God of loving baloney.
If you open and read all the bible my friend. You would be among only a very select few who have read the book from cover to cover. Even in the Christian world only a small percentage is able to read it from cover to cover. Roman Catholics even much less. The demands you claim you have read are mostly untrue and misinterpreted my friend. I implore you to read the bible my friend and if you can't understand it....then let me help you. Lets talk at forum my friend. You can have the last word.
@TheAnubisDrake JESUS CHRIST is Creator, Alpha & Omega,Great Physician,Good Shepherd, Balm of Gilead, Almighty Healer, Rock of Ages,Rose of Sharon,Lily of the Valley, Bright &Morning Star,Redeemer, Counselor,Comforter, Goodness,Joy,Peace, Hope, Faithful Friend, Everlasting God, Eternal Life, Saviour, Righteouness,Truth, Gracious,Merciful,God the Son, Holy God, Light of the world, Living Bread, Living Water,True Vine,Just One, Judge,Lion & Lamb,King of Glory, Salvation,The Only Way,JESUS is LOVE!
This video reminds you about everything he went through. And think about all your sins. And I hope he can forgive me for everything I take for granted. It reminds me about all the evil in this world. This is NOT what he had wanted.
I believe in Christ, because I know God wants me to. I'm just saying that trying to make Him out to be peerless as a moral exempla brings up more questions than it answers.Saying our God is great because he does not sin just rebukes one's God. A God who won't risk sinning to help suffering humanity is sure as hell not much of a God. I think more Orthodox understandings of God, that present a more human Jesus, probably speak to Christ's divinity more profoundly than a desire for a perfect God.
I might also add that it's not particularly brave not to sin, sometimes. Take the example of Kurt Gerstein, who had to take on the responsibility of commiting war crimes in order to try to alert the allies to the Holocaust. He chose to sin, so that others would have a chance to stop the Holocaust. He risked DAMNING himself for the cause of love, and for the cause of Christ. To me, though I am a Christian, Gerstein's life is a constant rebuke to Jesus's loving, but passive approach to suffering.
I am a Christian, but I think it's wrong to describe Jesus's suffering as the ultimate act of suffering. The Jews during the Holocaust suffered far more, as did blacks getting lynched and many other groups. Jesus wasn't enslaved, was not till the end of his life treated as sub-human. We dishonor our black and Jewish brothers and sisters by claiming that Jesus's suffering somehow transcended their much greater suffering.
@Bab5Blake7 No. You don't understand. Jesus gave up eternal joy and peace with our Lord to sacrifice himself for worthless pieces of crap like us. He suffered EVERYONE, in the entire world, punishment. He suffered separation from God. That is hell. Hell is the eternal seperation from God. Its bad for us, but we haven't seen his glory yet. Jesus saw it since forever. He suffered God the Father turning His back on Him. Those people have suffered, but only worldly pain. Jesus suffered spiritually.
And I'll correct myself and say he didn't hang for three days. It was the three day process of death and resurrection that I was talking about, it's amazing to think that we ALL deserve what HE went through. BUT HE LOVED US SO MUCH! That he did it for us all. We should ALL LOVE one another just as he loved. Ask yourself this.. If someone were to stab you repeatedly, would you still pray for their forgiveness? He would have. That's true love. Love you guys :)
I don't care how big, bad, and/or tough anyone thinks they are. NOBODY that has ever lived or ever will live could have done what Jesus did. NOBODY could have taken that place, for the three days he hung there he went down to hell and took the keys from satin himself, and said "for it is done" meaning, all of our life's battles are already won. If someone really thinks they could take that place and die for every person that has and ever will exist. I've got new for you. YOU CAN'T. Only JESUS :)
No one would, nor could take that place of this man, for he is the man God ordained before the foundation of the world to taste death for every man. Only he was qualified as the MAN approved of God to take away the sins of the world. Only he was the MAN anointed by God to bring peace to the dying world. He by the Spirit offered himself as the sacrifice. Therefore, by Jesus we believe in God that raised him from the dead that our faith and hope might be in God, as was his.

It makes you wonder why God works the way he does, but then you see the big picture and realize, that nothing happens with out a reason. Like this. God died in dis grace for ME!!! Looking at Jesus before He died, and looking at my classmate as they mock, It hurts. Next time, I turning to them with tear stained eyes and saying to them, "Do you realized what you have done to Him?"
I can't believe this person would give his live and love up for us. He is the best and only god i have ever and always wanted. We should all suffer instead of him, He gave himself up for us to have life, I would rather be in the 7 layers of hell, rather than him losing his life. Thank you Jesus. We love you.
Most of us wouldn't take the place of Jesus, and that's just it. He took the place of US. He knew most of us wouldn't sacrifice all of that to be close to our Father, but He wanted us to. Our personal relationship with Christ was worth His suffering.
We deserve to perish in hell and die, but you took our place. I cannot wait to see your glorious face. You shine so bright, we can see through our sins and through the night. You took the whip, you took the nails your our God that never fails! through the easy and the tough when life gives up you catch us when we fall.
as many times ive seen this video it still brings me to tears such a powerful song and o put this movie with it is extremely moving. i know that the LORD went through that and much more for me. glory to GOD thank the LORD for his love and mercy that should have been me on that cross me going through that pain but he paid it for me he went through what i deserve glory to the LORD JESUS CHRIST for his mercy, love and grace thank you JESUS
thank you LORD, and to answer the question, no, i couldnt take the place of JESUS, i couldnt have went through that, butto know i deserve that, makes me grateful that he took my place, i cant imagne the love he has for us. thank you LORD for your love, grce, mercy and patienc. he paid for all of our crimes against GOD and now we are his thank you LORD for the price you paid for me
tht movie...idk bout yall but it kills me..i mean we knw the story weve read it numeruos times..but to see physically see what he went thru...and for all we knw it coulve ben evn worse thn tht..but its so hard to see tht and not give ur life to him! i mean the fact tht he did tht for us!! and tht he was asking God to forgive us while we were torturing him..
Well, 1 Corinthians 11,14 confirm that this guy on this movie doesn't represent Jesus Christ... Why not search Scriptures before making a movie next time.
are you talking about the long hair? men from history had longer hair than today. If you didn't notice "Mary" had much longer hair than "Jesus". It's a hard passage because it's subjective and relative.... There was a LOT of research put into the Passion of the Christ. They wanted it to be as accurate as we can possibly make it.....
you can't really see her hair in this video, but women's hair was much longer...
I'm not sure what you were refering to in 1 Cor. 14.... the hair passage is in chapter 11, but I couldn't find what you might mean in chapter 14. Please let me know!
why are there 7 dislikes?!?!? well i got to tell you jesus loves you whether you like it or not!

What bothers me is that the so called source of the Christian Morality in many places demands I be killed for not believing.
Demands that gays be killed for being born as they are. Worthy of scorn and death from the womb.
Demands that women be subservient and basically property of men (OT and NT).
Demands that fortune tellers be killed for providing the exact same services as a religion.
Demands that prostitutes be burned, if they are a priests daughter.
OT and NT It's the same god ordering it.

@MicMacz He took the fall to save us. He he hadn't taken the fall, we would live in a world of chaos. Don't worry, it was right. :)
