Something I noticed that I really like in the last cuppla episodes I've watched is how the storyline 'visits upon' the-then basically uncategorized post traumatic stress symptoms from previous unresolved emotional conflict with certain counter-intuitive duties of their job. It's so well-handled in the script with appropriate subtlety but no question about it. nice pix banner~~thx! /^_~\\
Yah just recalled the other episode I was thinkin' of respecting this subj matter, "The Meet," really excellent representin' in that one with the retired Col. who didn't want to use a gun again cuz of past experience. {also sry 'thumbed-up' my own comment! duh!} /^_~\\
They actually wrote him out because they felt that the Patrick Mower character would be more of a hit with viewers. Haggerty was basically a ladies' man with more of a brash attitude.
If you did get S3 then I'd do a tribute vid to him :) (North that is!) I was thinking about getting the DVD's but I'm not interested in S1 + 2 but it's cheaper to get the complete series rather then get series 3 + 4 on their own :) :(
S1 + 2 had no action in them at all, but a few chaps on the Sweeney lounge say they had good stories. You know, I might just do that, get the whole series if it's cheaper.
I know. It was good of that chap to post this clip. The bad guy killed by Craven and Haggerty was played by Nadim Sawalha who starred in Pros eps like Long Shot, First Night and Hiding To Nothing.
OKay, I stand corrected. His daughter Nadia hosted a very good show once about TV cops. It had clips from The Bill pilot episode, The Sweeney and The Pros.

@evernetherall North really was an unsung hero. This was his way of overcoming a fear that he had in the previous series.

What a legend North was eh? And to think he got booted off because the show was slow to start :( That was a quick shot BTW bang bang bang :)

IMO Mower acts a bit of a prat at times. got any more eps with North in? :)

Sadly no. I haven't got series 3 yet. He's in that clip I sent you where they're in that building, taking on that guy with the machine gun.
You're right about Haggerty. In some eps, he did behave foolishly and wasn't as likeable as Craven.

You might as well just get series 3 now :)

Yeah, why not? :)

Watched that Hostage scene you sent me. Classic action **** :)

Yep, thought I recognised him :)
That must have been from a S3 ep cos credits were different :)
CI5AgentSweeps 2 years ago
They certainly were. Each episode would end with Craven walking off on his own.
Sawalha was always playing Arabs, although I think he's really Indian.
Banner1979 2 years ago
Sawalha is Lebanese.

You're right about that. In a previous episode, this cop failed to kill a suspect, but this time, he made up for it. The music is nicely eerie.

The flashback bit was a bit creepy but brilliantly edited
