I like the PBS broadcast cast much better... Katie beats Kelly in acting any day.

But Katie's singing was terrible in the PBS broadcast. Fortunately she improved for the tour.

I also think that, while Kelli's portrayal was too adult-like, Katie's portrayal was too child-like. Elena Shaddow was a good middle of the road approach.

Sadly, it wasn't. From what I'd seen and head of her during the Broadway run, she was consistently delivering poor vocals.

agreed. I like Katie Rose Clarke and the PBS broadcast was not poor. Hell, it was good! and with Katie's acting I actually believed that pony story.

@lakme saw her on Broadway and and she was amazing. my mother cried from her performance. And she got the part two days after finishing school. Something that most people don't do. Have you done a show on BROADWAY and PBS. That's a big job to take on

this show is so AMAZING! i saw it on tour and i absolutly LOVED IT! i'm sad it wasn't that popular, cuz it really is one of the most amazingly beautiful scores on broadway....ugh....gotta love it

this song is so beautiful.... the soloist does an amazing vocal job. i suppose when you are already a rent-head, wickedmaniac, and chicago-lover, light in the piazza is sure to follow.
