It's people like you that still give this country hope. I've been following you since you've been making these videos. I know this one is "old", but it still resonates ^^
Such a great video!!! I have watched SO SO SOOOO MANY Ron Paul videos and every night I find myself up again way too late watching and learning all that I can cutting into my sleep again!
I am 23 I have given Ron Paul 2500 dollars of my own money I drive my truck with stickers of him all over it and I do all I can in helping lead everyone towards him and FREEDOM!!!!!
I saw something on Discovery the other day where Donald Trump, basically put a dollar value on every single resource and thought that the US has and sold it lock, stock and barrel, it came to about 295trillion. Not bad, but then subtract the deficit, 15trillion, for a grand total worth of the US at 280trillion. But from all the liabilities I saw in this vid, our liabilities make up almost a third of our entire nations worth, and its getting higher and higher every second.
Aravoth.....WE NEED YOU MAN!! COME BACk!! Your talents are sorely missed. We are still in the fight. This is that last chance to try and stop this mess, and we need you on board. @OldDood I think stopping the funding of Libraries is very far down the list of his priorities. With the reduction in the governments size and the massive tax decreases (if he gets his way), with the extra revenue people will have, public Libraries won't have any funding problems (if parents really care about education). You see, it's giving back the power and responsibilities to the people (rather than a government who doesn't know what the heck it's doing) that truly appeals to me.
@OldDood If we did everything that he wants to do financially there would be plenty of money for libraries, we wouldn't need the government to pay for them.
hello, im from slovakia/europe.. I hope for amerika that the right choice will be made in 2012. The whole world hopes. Many things must be changed in our world and Ron Paul as president of the USA can be a very good start!!! So do please all your best to support this great man. in love and peace..
anyone smart enough to use the internet to research the current series of global problems will come to the conclusion that Ron Paul is the only answer.
the issue of time magazine i got yesterday says that the "established view" of ron paul is that he is a "crackpot". i cancelled my subscription today. ron paul is the only man who can bring bring sanity to our foreign and economic policy.
You made this in 2007 when this message was not even popular. Kudos to you sir! The term "Tea Party, is a MSM made term and has nothing to do with this message...you remember in 2008 when "Freedomworks and the rest of them forced their way in, and MSM created the term "Tea Party"....Now this term "Tea party" has arrested the message and is now only about the person. Divide and conquer is the idea, hopefully it will not work.
Never feel like you have to apologize for promoting Dr. Ron Paul for President. You know in your heart Ron Paul is the answer our country needs more than ever now.
How many of you realize that this song was recorded by Don McLean the same year that the gold standard was ended? I wonder if the song has any relevance. Go Ron Paul 2012!!
This puts a new perspective on things, thanks for this video. I've always liked Ron Paul, now I would LOVE to put him up against BO in 2012! He is the most Patriotic Congressman I've ever seen...he REALLY gets it!!
Ron Paul cured my apathy! I have hope and believe this country could again live up to the shining example it was meant to be {and as a child believed it was} if we can support and elect a man like Ron Paul, the only politician who has ever made me feel like he was on MY side. Thank you, Ron, for all you do.
@aravoth I am also Inspired and Im letting everyone on earth know. We need atleast 10% to get a good amount of people of earth to say, Lets be free finally. Break your chains and crack the sky and get lost in space.
I was really for Palin...but with all my respect.....I after reviewing all the candidates for a week of study....I consider RON PAUL THE ONLY CHOICE. Now... I can clearly see thanks to RON PAUL.RON...You got my vote.My Family is with you.
this video makes me sad for the simple reason that he will never get the republican nomination even though you KNOW he would win the presidency if he were to receive it. the republicans get what they deserve.
I am already starting, Go to ronpaul dot com and take the pledge. Then post that site on your face book. Get your friends involved with RP 2012. Get your families involved with RP 2012. Show Ron he has the support. Get your Tea Party to understand he is the only true Tea Party candidate, he sets the bar for the Tea Party. Give him a solid base. The man is what America needs now more than ever. Educate the few so they can educate the many!! Pass it on RP 2012!!
I am not even American and this video had me filled with so much emotion my eyes watered. Imagine a America that perpetuated harmony and good will with those Trillions of Dollars, Instead of fear, war and violence towards Its own People and the world in general. Yeah, Stop dreaming Indeed.
@thomasmoonman The American TV is all propaganda and they try to make him out to be a fool. He is the only choice for president. I am a republican and I think Bush and his bunch need to go to prison, he started the Bailouts Obama continued them so the Federal Reserve Private Bankers could loot the world. This Ponzi Scheme took 5 presidents . The last president that wanted to end the FED was John Kennedy that was Americas last real president.
I'm English and I wish we had somebody like Ron Paul to inspire us. The beauty of what he says is that his message applies everywhere in the world. Every nation could benefit by adopting the ideas of Classical Liberaism. The closest we have is Steve Baker MP and I hope he can live up to the comparisons.
And then you paint yourself as a bigot, and specifically a racist, by saying that this bigotry and racism isn't a big deal!
Wow, it seems as if you are actually proud of all the things that set you apart from the rest of the human race. To the idea that you are subhuman, proud of it, and determined to show me why...
What will you say next??! "I can make this ditch bigger! I can make this hole so deep that I will send myself straight to Hell, you'll see!!"
@knucklez: It's not just the KKK! Ron Paul is affiliated with all of white supremacy and you can read his thoughts, his very own thoughts, in his newsletters which are plastered across webpages across the internet. Ron Paul wrote, edited, & published many of those newsletters and supposedly many of them were also written, edited, & published by Lew Rockwell who was coincidentally, & perhaps ...
@knucklez: ...not so coincidentally, Ron Pauls Chief of Staff during his 2000 Presidential campaign.
Political fellatio, if you ask me!!
But seriously, fore all of the evil demons in Ron Pauls closet, no one really needs to worry, primarily bc of something that so few ppl talk about.
Death.
Ron Paul is 75 years old and he is going to be dead soon. And when he is then we will finally be free of the evil that this man supports. Ron Paul will NEVER be President!!
It doesn't matter who you vote in. the USA is a Corporation owned by the IMF. 2/3 of the Treasury, another Corp.., is Owned by GoldMan Sachs. OK, who are the major stock holders of Goldman Sachs ? The IMF. Who owns the IMF and are the Primary Holders ? The Royal Family of England.
RON PAUL FOR PRESIDENT IN 2012! EVERYBODY VOTE FOR HIM AT THE NEXT ELECTION! DO IT NOT BECAUSE YOU'RE DEMOCRATIC OR REPUBLICAN, BUT BECAUSE YOU'RE A TRUE AMERICAN PATRIOT! THE FEDERAL RESERVE BANKING SYSTEM IS ILLEGAL AND SHOULD BE ABOLISHED!
if you ask if we can win.. no.. but i have killed a hell of alot of the rag heads.. and we can actually kill em all i guess.. but why? YEA i hate the hell out of em.. but hell i have served 6 tours in each area.. but why the hell am i doing it> i want you free.. but they are like me.. they aint gonna quit.. so i gotta kill em all.. me paul seems to be the only one to understand this.. do not misunderstand.. your marines will do their duty and will do so with every thing we have.. if you want
@kingslegion1 Thanks for your service. We support the troops and thats why we want them to come home. Remember they cannot take our freedom we have to give away our freedom...and we never will.
As the way of all things, what effect do you suppose its question, knowledge, understanding and application by billions of persons will have on the state of global economics, science, the humanities, education, government and business?
.
The underlying law of nature is the most important subject any person can investigate and learn about, can proceed to understand, and can then come to personally apply in life.
PersonalPariah - regardless of how you feel about intervening in the injustice of the world (as a government - that isn't to say that we shouldn't get involved via justice-seeking organizations), there are two problems with doing so:
1) We are ignoring the lack of freedom here - how can we bring democracy to the world when we're losing it here?
I think Ron Paul is a good man. But i think it is time for a reform of this system, its full of oppurtunities for big name companies or big name indivduals to excersise greed. There are still too many homeless people, too many hungry people and too many sick people who cant get care. But nobody else should have to pay out of their pockets for it. We have to think outside the box for an answer.
The US has already collapsed and is now rebuilding itself with a minimal government and minimal taxes.
Then I will move to the US and help build (of course because of my own self interest of living under freedom and low taxes) this nation that was once so great, but which has been severely and so sadly messed up in the last 100 years by the big government crowd.
The Income Tax does not represent 1/3 of federal income, but approximately 45% (2010). If IRS get's eliminated the government has somewhat $1.2 trillion left. But out of $1.2 trillion is SS and Payroll taxes that accounts for roughly $950bn. I have heard Ron Paul suggesting to privatize SS overtime, that would leave feds budget to $480bn. I'm sure he would also push to cut corporate tax that gives a revenue of $220bn. My question is, how's Ron Paul going to fund for Defense, NASA etc?
@ExhibitMan I am not a Ron Paul supporter but perhaps you should have paid a little more attention to the video. LESS spending. By stopping the "wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan and by eliminating our military presence in foreign countries we would solve for a lot of spending that is unneeded.
@TheBrotherMouzone Nothing negative. I voted for Huckabee in the primary in my state. To be honest I didn't get to see much of Ron Paul in the debates. I got a late start watching them last election.
@dungeongrappling Ah ok, I see. Heck, I didn't even know about Ron Paul in the 2008 elections. I was a Obama supporter then! Boy, what a sham that was. It's Ron Paul and liberty all the way for me now.
Lets all ask ourselves a question... How did ObAmA beat out a guy like this?
Follow the money is my answer. Good ol American Ron Paul scared to many intrests.
I say lets hunker down and get those bastards on the run. America is waking up. Educate yourself as much as you can. As well as those around you. Read, memorize and spread our CONSTITUTION. Its only the greatest document ever written.
Our founders were some pretty cool people as well.
All standing armies have proven to be terrible failures and cause nothing but waste , suffering , and more war . We could easily survive with just reserve troops serving a few weeks a year . In the case America was attacked men and women would be lined up for miles to fight a real threat .
Just friendly FYI, it's militia. Also, I agree with you. If you look back in history, you'll see that at one point militias were common and people attended the musters just like they did church and their jobs, and for the same overall reason: to provide for and to safeguard themselves, their family, their community, their state, and their nation.
God save the Republic. I hope that future generations will enjoy a true constitutional republic as the founders intended.
Not only that, people need to realize it's 2010. With satellites circling the globe, it's not like an armada can sneak across the ocean and invade. All we need is missiles, missile defense, and respect for the 2nd Amendment.
Just look at WW2, the US army mobilized quickly and effectively without a huge standing army already in place; and after a few very early set backs like kasserine, the US army rapidly became the second most effective army in the world after the Red Army (which arguably itself rapidly mobilized from a backward unprofessional force after the purges)
Even in the worst case scenario, a standing army isnt necessary. WW2 is the proof.
This guy never heard of Vichy French, he is a brainwashed McCain Republican who thinks were fighting the war over there so we don't have to here. Well if that is the case lets do away with TSA and homeland security! Don't call yourself a conservative Republican if you think Afghanistan and Iraq is anything other then a policing action, more lies won't help Republicans.
So according this foreign policy you would have stuck your fingers in your ears whilst saying "lalala" during WWII, allowing Hitler to conquer Europe, Asia, and eventually your precious states. Or let the Soviet Union do the same.
Countries do actually NEED foreign policy, you don't get to just pretend that there isn't anything outside your borders. As it is you're bad enough with acknowledging the rest of the planet. (unless you want that piece of it)
No one is saying foreign policy is not neccesary, were saying ours have been pure shit. Military is for fighting wars not policing Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama treats enemy combatants as if they were civilian criminals. WW2 we fought and enemy we could identify and had a achievable objective! It is not the US military or tax payer responsibility to protect borders that are not our own. Ron Paul has the popular support of OUR MILITARY unlike your boy McCain respect them!
WW2 there was an identifiable enemy to shoot at and a government to topple. Afghanistan / Iraq there is no identifiable target until it starts shooting at you. There is no government to topple. Just a big piece of Geography to police and just by being there makes you a target. Were fighting there so we don't have to here as a artificial barrier is BS. Military is for killing not protecting foreign populations.
But you already got rid of it and are hanging around and civilisation building now. Trying to install a friendly enough government so that it won't happen again, all while reaping economic reward for arms manufacturers and oil producers. But then again you can't just jump in, blow shit up and then piss off, it's bad PR.
Since when was policing a foreign population good PR? Fuckem we wiped out there bases, kicked the Talibans ass, and Iraq has a new government. The Arabs need to take care of there own affairs. Time for our troops to come home and oprotect our borders.
You're wrong, that would be good PR. Ron Paul had it right when he advocated a non-intervention policy. A friend told me once, "If America is attacked by an enemy force, go to their home and kill'em all. Then, come back home." That's exactly what we should do in any situtation. Take the fight to the enemy, destroy them and everything they held dear, and then return to live peacefully in a republic so many have fought to protect and preserve.
By "everything they held dear", I meant only things that are useful to the enemy. I don't mean innocents or property belonging to innocents, if it can be helped.
@PersonalPariah Well it was France that just did nothing protesting as tanks rolled in. And I do believe that the US did not rush into war untill an attack on US soil was made.
@PersonalPariah Don't be ignorant. WW2 was declared. The US got in, won, and got out. Ron Paul is not against that. If you don't see a difference between that and Iraq/Afghanistan, I'm sorry, you're ignorant.
Better? I can't guarantee we will, and you can't guarantee we won't.
Not that it's a good thing to happen anyway, but I'd rather lose peace than have the govt infringe on my life and the lives of my family much more than they have.
I understand. I'm a husband and father also. I also know that I'm young (24) and haven't had as much experience as many others have. However, I don't see how not taking action when it will be effective will help your family. It may be years after any contest of strength is won or lost, that they'll start stripping rights away, and America will have passed its opportunity to safeguard them for their children. Good parents look after their childrens'/grandchildrens' future.
If Francis Marion hadn't joined the Revolutionary Army, though, his guerilla tactics would not have been costing them officers and resources, and they may have had just enough advantage to gain more of an upper hand. He may have been protecting them, but he was risking their enslavement by a tyrannical government. Best way to teach your kids how much liberty is worth is to fight for it. I love my dad, but he didn't teach me to be politically active.
Man, i can't type correctly today. By "them" in 2nd sentence I meant his children. I would rather have my family suffer and know liberty than grow old and watch tyranny take hold of my childrens' and grandchildrens' lives. Conflict and suffering is the price of liberty. I consider it worth the price, and I intend to teach that mindset to my daughter. She'll make her own choice, but I'll give her enough info so that she can see how important the decision is.
We're only at this point now because our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc. did not hold their government accountable for what they did. I guess the SuperBowl, baseball, and tv shows were more worthwhile than keeping their representatives accountable. They had a responsibility to pass down the legacy to protect our freedoms and liberty, and for the most part, they failed miserably. This generation is barely equipped to make a stand for its right to liberty.
Ron Paul has a son, Rand Paul, who you can support. He UNDERSTANDS, just like Ron, what is happening to our dying country. SUPPORT HIM. SEND HIM A DOLLAR, 10, 20, 100 - whatever you can.
TAKE BACK CONGRESS & VOTE OUT THE ELITIST PIGS AT THE TROUGH, AMERICA!
Show the world what REAL FREEDOM is!
They are waiting to hear from the American public.
DON'T HAND OVER YOUR CHILDREN, GRANDCHILDREN & THEIR CHILDREN TO THE GLOBAL BANKERS.
GET OFF YOUR ASSES, AMERICA. WE ARE LOSING OUR COUNTRY!!!
@OvertlyRevolutionary well said. people are simply more willing to be ignorant and reliant on government than to accept responsibility for what our country does day to day and the conditions under which we live. the stratafication is amazing. what would be considered a good living buys no peace of mind, nor the ability for a loving wife to raise your cherished children. americans are not nearly aware enough of what a fiat currency and central bank do to our prosperity.
@OvertlyRevolutionary if you cant send money ....spread the word...wear a Ron Paul te-shirt ..bumper sticker ....JUST DO SOMETHING FOR OUR GREAT COUNTRY!!!!
@rita: 'DOING SOMETHING' ...for our great country means never voting for this anti-American, politically, historically, & socially ignorant, white supremacist shill, for Congress or for President of the United States!!
Besides, Ron Paul is 75 years old; he's going to be dead soon anyway! And the day that Ron Paul is dead will be "A Great Day For America"!!
@SpookeyR the ONLY group/country that would not want Ron Paul as the presedent of the USA is isreal......so how much do u get paid to stay online all day spreading lies about this great man......will they kill him like they did to JFK our last great presedent?RON PAUL 2012 for a GREAT USA!!! GET RID OF ZIONIST/BANKERS FEDERAL RESEARVE/irs& fair foreign policy!!!!!
@rita: If that was true then why didn't Ron Paul become President back in the 80's or the 90's when he ran for President, hmm!?? Why didn't Ron Paul become President in this last Presidential election??
Perhaps it has something to do with the reality that Ron Paul is a white supremacist shill who wants to destroy this the United States of America by abolishing at least half of the federal gov't and by xenophobically turning the USA against the rest of the world!
Ron Paul ran for election multiple times and he, correct me if I am wrong, never once, NOT EVEN ONCE, did he get a single Electoral vote!! That is just one specific indication of the very real reality that he never had a chance and he never will. But, that's a good thing!
Ron Paul will never be POTUS for many reasons. There is one reason however that never gets talked about and it becomes more and more obvious as time goes by.
@SpookeyR no he only ran for president once as an independent in the 80's, since then yes he was tried to run as a republican but has not received the nomination because the republican party torpedoed his campaign.
@b78: On the contrary, Ron Paul torpedoed his own campaign by stating and defending his support for the ideals of white supremacy! (Abolish at least half of the federal gov't, the abolishment of all Civil Rights, xenophobically turning the US against the rest of the world, etc.)
Ron Paul is a senile old fool who has no one but himself to blame.
@coaster: Ron Paul may not walk around wearing a Nazi uniform or a glorified ghost costume but, he supports the ideals and the beliefs of white supremacy and that makes him, at a minimum, a white supremacist shill!
You can say that you are against all of that anti-American horseshit but, if you support Ron Paul then you, and truly anyone who does that, are a God damned hypocrite!! And you can go straight to Hell!
@SpookeyR No he really doesn't. He despises collectivist ideas like racism. He supports the Constitution strictly, down to every detail, like the protection of property rights in the 5th Amendment. You need to learn to see things as they are, not how they're labeled. Ending segregation and telling people to not be racist are two different things (Title 2 of CRA). The latter not only doesn't work, but it makes racism worse. Calling the Constitution hypocritical will make you reach nobody.
@coaster: Yes, he really does! He loves collectivist ideas such as racism!! WTFelse would support the very same things that white supremacy vows to see happen and be a part of?!? And furthermore, WTFelse would he not only take financial and logistical support from a myriad of white supremacists but, then also refuse to repudiate them or their support??!
Ron Paul is a white supremacist shill and he will NEVER be President!!!

I do not agree with EVERYthing Ron Paul speaks about.
For example: He would stop funding for Libraries...i can see federal tax dollars going to Libraries and Education.
That would be small potatoes compared to all this 'Defense Spending' and Waste for Pork Projects.
A Educated Citizenry makes for a strong Republic!

THE MOST FUNDAMENTAL QUESTION OF ALL:
.
What is the underlying law of nature.
.

2) We're broke

There are still too many homeless people, too many hungry people and too many sick people who cant get care. But nobody else should have to pay out of their pockets for it. We have to think outside the box for an answer.

My dream in 10 years:
The US has already collapsed and is now rebuilding itself with a minimal government and minimal taxes.
Then I will move to the US and help build (of course because of my own self interest of living under freedom and low taxes) this nation that was once so great, but which has been severely and so sadly messed up in the last 100 years by the big government crowd.
TheBrotherMouzone 1 year ago
The Income Tax does not represent 1/3 of federal income, but approximately 45% (2010). If IRS get's eliminated the government has somewhat $1.2 trillion left. But out of $1.2 trillion is SS and Payroll taxes that accounts for roughly $950bn. I have heard Ron Paul suggesting to privatize SS overtime, that would leave feds budget to $480bn. I'm sure he would also push to cut corporate tax that gives a revenue of $220bn. My question is, how's Ron Paul going to fund for Defense, NASA etc?
ExhibitMan 1 year ago
@ExhibitMan I am not a Ron Paul supporter but perhaps you should have paid a little more attention to the video. LESS spending. By stopping the "wars" in Iraq and Afghanistan and by eliminating our military presence in foreign countries we would solve for a lot of spending that is unneeded.

TheRealMikeSmith 1 year ago
@MindofaJedi
WW2 is the proof.
so ugh, TLDR, totally agree with this guy.

(unless you want that piece of it)
PersonalPariah 2 years ago
No one is saying foreign policy is not neccesary, were saying ours have been pure shit. Military is for fighting wars not policing Afghanistan and Iraq. Obama treats enemy combatants as if they were civilian criminals. WW2 we fought and enemy we could identify and had a achievable objective! It is not the US military or tax payer responsibility to protect borders that are not our own. Ron Paul has the popular support of OUR MILITARY unlike your boy McCain respect them!
joe035 2 years ago
WW2 there was an identifiable enemy to shoot at and a government to topple. Afghanistan / Iraq there is no identifiable target until it starts shooting at you. There is no government to topple. Just a big piece of Geography to police and just by being there makes you a target. Were fighting there so we don't have to here as a artificial barrier is BS. Military is for killing not protecting foreign populations.
joe035 2 years ago 3
@joe035 There WAS an identifiable target.
But you already got rid of it and are hanging around and civilisation building now. Trying to install a friendly enough government so that it won't happen again, all while reaping economic reward for arms manufacturers and oil producers. But then again you can't just jump in, blow shit up and then piss off, it's bad PR.
PersonalPariah 2 years ago
Since when was policing a foreign population good PR? Fuckem we wiped out there bases, kicked the Talibans ass, and Iraq has a new government. The Arabs need to take care of there own affairs. Time for our troops to come home and oprotect our borders.
joe035 1 year ago 2
@PersonalPariah

@rahfields
By "everything they held dear", I meant only things that are useful to the enemy. I don't mean innocents or property belonging to innocents, if it can be helped.

Lol, gotcha. You made your point well.
I love my dad, but he didn't teach me to be politically active.
rahfields 1 year ago
Man, i can't type correctly today. By "them" in 2nd sentence I meant his children. I would rather have my family suffer and know liberty than grow old and watch tyranny take hold of my childrens' and grandchildrens' lives. Conflict and suffering is the price of liberty. I consider it worth the price, and I intend to teach that mindset to my daughter. She'll make her own choice, but I'll give her enough info so that she can see how important the decision is.
rahfields 1 year ago
We're only at this point now because our parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, etc. did not hold their government accountable for what they did. I guess the SuperBowl, baseball, and tv shows were more worthwhile than keeping their representatives accountable. They had a responsibility to pass down the legacy to protect our freedoms and liberty, and for the most part, they failed miserably. This generation is barely equipped to make a stand for its right to liberty.

SpookeyR 1 year ago
@SpookeyR No he really doesn't. He despises collectivist ideas like racism. He supports the Constitution strictly, down to every detail, like the protection of property rights in the 5th Amendment. You need to learn to see things as they are, not how they're labeled. Ending segregation and telling people to not be racist are two different things (Title 2 of CRA). The latter not only doesn't work, but it makes racism worse. Calling the Constitution hypocritical will make you reach nobody.
