I've been watching old Jon Stewart on Letterman clips all day. This stuff is classic. He's gone from hosting the Billboard Awards to the Academy Awards. Well earned.
I like how they give him 'hip' guitar solo entry music. he's so cute; he has that, "I"m still kinda awkward so I'm going to try and act really cool" :)
We know the rest of the story now, but Jon seems to be very upset in this, really...he makes good jokes, and he handles the situation very professionally, but you can see he is feeling more or less blue here...
he forgot david brenner.
