Thank you! To date we have now graduated over 100 parents from the program. It has been such fun watching families become involved in and supporting their kids to succeed in school and even going back to school themselves.
Perhaps they don't feel welcome, or feel they can make a significant contribution. Have you asked they why they do not participate? There is surely a reason.
This is something that it should be encouraged and something to continue doing among the whole US where it is most needed esp by our Chuukese Community. I held a seat as a secretary for the school board in the Iriving School District in Irving, TX - outside Dallas and was so sad as how many Micronesians resides here and non are willing to participate in any functions.
Enjoyed the video and the inspiration it shared for the participants. Programs like this make such a huge difference in the lives of those who are looking to adjust to their new environment. This provides practical methods with tangible materials that help to bring value and importance of parent participation to better the lives of themselves and the lives of their children. My compliments to you and the staff of PACT who designed and developed this to improve the quality of life.
