@gh4roks09 Actually, if you activate some sort of code deep within the game files, then you CAN fly this plane. Also, it is said that this plane was used by mappers to observe the cities they were building in real time and that it was to be included in the Vanity Pack DLC but was then cancelled.

On the website, it DOES NOT say it's coming, understand? It seems you just see the part PLANES and then spread that's what's coming in Burnout.

Burnout Paradise is now finished. If you'd have followed the game since release, you'd know how much has come for the game since then.

No more DLC, maybe some patches for bugs, but that's IT. Criterion are working on the next NFS. Accept it!

I might be going out on a limb by saying this, but they probably used this to show an aerial beta of the city. It's something Criterion done. I can almost promise you it was taken out of the code when they released the game. If not, find some hackers or whatever you guys prefer to call it to get the plane enabled. :P Even if you got it, you'd have to take into account that it would be super limited because of Physics+Frames. I don't know for sure, but that's my theory.

he was probably a beta tester in the early stages of the game and criterion was still open for ideas and they tried whit planes but it just didnt stick but hey weve reached update 1.9 so maybe 2.0 will have planes(considering its a whole new type of gameplay)

Actually this footage came from one of the live CRASH TV podcasts from Criterion Games. This was a sort of teaser. They said they were thinking about adding it, but they might end up not adding it. So far, they have not added it and it is NOT available to the public.

I know this is true because if you look at the bottom and top left areas of the screen, there are green boxes. These boxes provide information, like frame rate, on how the game is running during development.

It was an April Fools Joke. Criterion mentioned this in their FAQ about checking back at the site on April 1, 2009, and on that day the question disappeared. They've never mentioned airplanes in Burnout Paradise since.
