Ya'll, I LOVE THIS MAN. I have seen him in concert 3 times and he has been my favorite male singer since I was 7. LOVE HIM. LOVE HIM. LOVE HIM. He is timeless .
He was to Country Music what both Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles were to R&B. I'm not going to say he was the best; That stated, he was a true original. You've got to respect him for that.
this song is one of the most beautiful country songs ever..i saw Ronnie perform in the 80's with lee greenwood and david frizell and shelly west,,,,it was just an amazing concert,,Ronnie is so gifted and just an amazing man
no matter how old he is ronnie milsap puts so much heart and soul in to his music i love all the music soon you too will be gods angel until then keep up the great work your biggest fan tracy humes
@tracer28583 Tracy Humes, I agree, if God forbid anything ever happens to Ronnie Milsap he certainly will be one of God's special ANGELS!!! He is so awesome!! His songs are timeless & easy-listening. I love to unwind from a hard days work with his sweet voice singing one of many, of his GREAT songs....he's never put out a BAD song, EVER!!! God Bless you and your family Tracy! Sincerely, Stephanie Preston <3
AWESOME!! Thank you for posting this song, I love him so much! He had such beautiful songs and they've stayed with me through my childhood into my adult life. AND I can relate to his pain.
saw him Last Night In Napa Ca. Absolutely Fabulous show. Pure Nashville Perfection. Goose Bumps for all. I love to see such talented artists continue into their later years and remain so good. He is 71 and still ROCKIN THE COUNTRY.
Going to go see him June in Siskiyou County. He performed the song "In Love" that I dedicated to my wife when we first met. I have enjoyed Ronnie's music for decades!
kevlength, I personally appreciate your words concerning Ronnie Milsap because I've always LOVED him & felled that way since like1975/1976 as a mere child ( then only 3 or 4 years old ) & still claim that he is one of the best all around musician /singer /performer .
This doesnt strike me as country. Sounds like crossover type rock to me. All the better, because this lovely song does not belong in the crap music gerne that country music is. \m/ ;)
NOTICE: Ronnie Milsap is coming out w/ a new album on July 26 titled "Country Again!" An upcoming single, "If You Don't Want Me to," will be released the 18th! Please spread this information everywhere possible!
I cry every time I hear this, memories, some great so not so great, but that is part of our journey...this song is just beautiful, I am sure it being played in Heaven too. Thanks for posting!
This is the first video I found of Ronnie about a month ago, when I didn't even know who he was. I think I have played it at least 50 times. He was raised in the Smokey Mountains, so this is so much a part of who he is.
It is so beautiful - the song, Ronnie and the band. Wish I had been there! simonetta905
Ronnis Milsap is a wonderful singer and song writer. Happily I saw him once in an afternoon concert with The Statler Brothers and Tammy Wynnette in Atlanta. It was one of the best concerts I ever attended. And I was at the First Atlanta International Pop Festiveal too--when Janis Joplin closed the show.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
hey guys this is my favorite song there is no better than this i grew up listening to this song all my life because my dad always had the radio on country & when i heard this song i didn't care what i was doing i stopped & listen to my dad is is 83 yrs old now but man he still walks up town i miss the younger years when we lived by a "small" country airport with bi planes & double winged planes love those memories :(............. God Bless all
Libbey....this song still sounds as good in my 318 small block with an am/fm radio. It's all about the music ...all about this artist. He is truly an amazing vocalist...and I love that steel guitar
I used to have a 71 Cheyenne with a 402 B.B. and the only thing that sounded better than that Big Block was listening to this song running in the tape deck.
@thundercatzr They don't know what true country music is - and true country music is music that comes from the heart..... only Ronnie is the epitome of CM that comes from the heart!
Does anyone know of Troy feather from Napoleon Michigan. He worked for Ronnie and loved his music. I rmemeber him putitng a band together to play the 4th of July and he did every song Ronnie did. He was nearly as good as ronnie too. I would like to know?
America, what a talent you have in this man! We here in Australia have nobody with this talent...Great songs, voice and presence! Appreciate Him while you have the chance. Thank you Ronnie.....
Somewhere in these comments, I read that Ronnie Milsap is not in the CMHOF. Is that really true? If it is, it's a damn shame! Ronnie is amazing and a hell of alot more talented than some of the people who are in the CMHOF already! What a shame!
ronnie is my cousin 4th idk wat number he is but ik hes my cousin never met him tho i guess hes ok he changed the spelling of our last name cuz ppl kept mis spelling it
The bar-room chatter never ceased. It didn't matter if Ronnie was singing or speaking, some people were there just to run their mouths. My wife and I left after an hour or so.
I just came home to Detroit from Clemson, S.C. -- it was raining thru the Smokey Mountains on the way home and I just couldn't get this song off my mind.
ear Ronnie. I'm sorry for how the IDIOTS at Billy Bob's in Fort Worth acted last year during your concert. Please come back to the Dallas area--at a better venue.
Love this song!! Everytime I hear it it reminds me of a trip a dear friend of mine & I took to Charleston, SC Easter 1985 with my then 1 yr daugther. We were going thru the Smokey Mountains when this song came on the radio & whats so ironic about it, is the fact it WAS RAINING when we were going thru the Smokey Mountains....LOL I LOVED IT!!!! Thank you BRANSONMUSICFACTORY for posting this video. Thank you RONNIE MILSAP for sharing your awesome talents with the world......God Bless You Sir!!!!
I just dreamed, I sung this song this song in front of a bunch of people, and they were enjoying it! Thank You Ronny and God for this song! This song really sticks inside you. It's a sing along song. I woke up and just had to play and see it again!
This is REAL TALENT. A true "Legend In His Time". There never has been nor will there ever be a vocalist who can compare to Ronnie Milsap. And it's a crying shame he isn't in the Country Music Hall of Fame - should've happened YEARS AGO.
@Firemansgirl54 The people who gave this thumbs down are liberal idiots who support Obama and Bush's wars in the middle east where the U.S. spends billions to invade and brutally occupy sovereign nations where we force them to accept democracy as a form of government at the expense of our taxpayers and the cost of countless lives of innocent U.S. soldiers and civilians. Real conservatives know the U.S. should spend that money to create new jobs! RONNIE MILSAP FANS FOR RON PAUL 2012!
To my wife, I'm coming back to you. I've been away to me for so long I didn't even realize I was gone. I have lived under the same roof as you and slept next to you day in and day out, but I have not really been here. I have been lost in my own selfishness, To tell you the truth, it is getting lonely as I'm wearing out my own welcome with self. I hope to find you when I get back. I'm sorry.
A huge powerful voice that with great taste mixed up the country cross over days but Ronnie used the crying steel guitar to let you know he was pure country and that is truly missing in what people call country today. Great voice and piano playing with perfection. Tight band as well..

I am rather impresse with the keyboard guy that has to very quickly move switches around, and play 2 keyboards at the same time, impressive.

The version a few years back with the Los Lonely Boys was really good. Ronnie played piano on Elvis' Kentucky Rain.

One of my all time favorite vocalists. Thanks for posting this! All one has to is get lost in the words and melodies of this great song.

A huge powerful voice that with great taste mixed up the country cross over days but Ronnie used the crying steel guitar to let you know he was pure country and that is truly missing in what people call country today. Great voice and piano playing with perfection. Tight band as well..
