For all those with the "ooh Rozz is great Valor sucks" crap - you do realise that this album was already 3/4 written by Valor, Glass and Demone (including the lyrics) before Rozz joined the band (yes, Rozz joined their band, not the other way round)  Rozz only completely wrote the lyrics for Sleepwalk, all the rest were mostly written and he touched them up. I liked his vocals on this album, but people stop caliming he is greater than he was - and don't forget, he is the one who left.

i do agree with a lot of you on the rozz vs valor thing it is also a moot point 2 different

journeys of the band. rozz will be always and forever be the focal point of christian death,valor had moments of brilliance but also moments of dillusional garbage.but don not forget david glass who also brought a lot to the table and when he left i think,personally christian death really ended,anyways great memories however you look at it,peace

its not that we are \ignoring\ Valor's contributions, we just dont know \what\ he contributed to any of the CB-Ashes era, as he, u know, takes credit for songs written \\before\\ he met Rozz, songs played by the Original Christian Death, so honestly who gives a shit what he contributed hes a fucking liar, Valor's SOLO albums r so-so anyway thats a testement to \his\ talent.

@BodomTranquilityWorm He hit rock bottom. For example, the last time I saw him, he got kicked out of Perversion (a goth nightclub) for trying to take a bottle of alcohol. He thought killing himself on April Fool's day would be poetic justice for his life.

It's a shame, he had great lyrics. I'm glad to have known him as it was his songs and his words that helped me live through some troubled childhood issues.

This is my favorite CD line up! This and Ashes are my faves. Amazing works of art. I realize most people don't like Valor but you must at least appreciate his contribution here on guitar. For me, I like all Christian Death albums through Atrocities. After that, not so much.

Christian Death is one of my fave bands. there songs where the soundtrack to my life from highschool to my early 20s. I like Rozz and Valor both. I can appreciate what they both brought to the band. And would like to thank them both for creating music that's inspiring .

Deathwish, Ashes and Catastrophe Ballet, three albums which have remained timeless. Rozz had so much emotion in his voice you could feel what he was saying, Valor on the other hand sang with venom most of the time, i think if it wasnt for Gitane Demone there would have been no real feeling in the band after Rozz parted company.

Exactly! My personal distaste for Valor aside, I just don't *feel* anything from his singing and his post-Rozz music. Everything that Rozz ever did (Shadow Project, Daucus Karota, etc.) was always so emotive and powerful. His is the kind of music that can make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. Valor might be technically good, but his stuff doesn't *do* it for me. Then there's the whole problem with him being a dirty thief and all...hee hee.

Rozz used to sit on the sidewalk outside a clothing store on Haight where my friend worked and read. I crashed at his place once too but he never knew I was there, he was passed out on the couch.
