Heres some facts about our hedge hog:

Sega (Sonics creater) and Nintendo (Marios creater) have been rivals ever since mario made it big.Thats also when they created sonic and made him just about as famous as mario.Anyway sonics late appearence in the game is because Nintendo(which doesnt really hold any judges on sega no more) asked sega to let sonic be in brawl, in which they said no.later on they decided to add sonic into the game.which explains sonics late appearence by knocking tabbus wings

@GCdotTK also Sonic Generations returns classic sonic with his physics looking pretty much in tact which will please people who only liked the classic sonic games and not the sonic franchise as a whole. plus Sonic 4 episode 2 will fix the apparent physics problem that people complained about. and both sonic colors and sonic unleashed give 2D perspective with good physics that no one seemed to complain about. and also gave the nostalgia feeling of the classics.

@GCdotTK i like most long term sonic fans grew up with the classics and still go back to play them. if sonic adventure was overrated for its time then why did it recieve such positive reviews from IGN, Famitsu, Gamespot, Gamepro, etc. the re-releases reviews don't mean much of anything since a lot of old games have been re-released on online console markets (like paper mario or kirby 64 on wii shop). the physics in sonic 4 are different but they aren't enough to hinder full on gameplay.

@GCdotTK not many are tired of the classic titles.sonic adventure isn't overated its a good quality sonic game with the story and mechanincs being well done for its time. sonic 4's physics aren't actually bad at all (i haven't had any actual problems and not many people have) SSBB is fun but it got old pretty fast since its not much of an overall imporvment over melee (aside from subspace its pretty much melee with no clone characters and some tuning to the characters.)

I bought it and I can honestly say that it is one of the best Sonic games I have played. It was really fun and broke the Sonic Cycle for sure. Can't wait for Generations :)

Dont have a Wii so no, but Ive heard good things about it. Probably the best 3D sonic, but still, I wish they could go back to the Adventure style that was a perfect mix of Classic and Adventure-Sonic. Generations looks amazing, sure, but the modern gameplay.. looks fun, but doesnt offer what I'm describing. Cant complain, though, cause its all about dat classic sonic

@Arbiterisl33t69 I also prefer the Adventure gameplay style more than I prefer the Unleashed style cause platforming is a really important element for me. I hated Unleashed and I thought that modern Sonic would be all about boosting through the levels without any platforming in Generations but I was wrong. After I saw the City Escape level I can see that SEGA are listening to the fans. If you haven't seen it just search for (Sonic Generations - E3 2011 Demo: Green Hill/City Escape Gameplay)

Brawl isn't even a "Sonic Game", so you can't say that it's the best Sonic game. That would be like saying Brawl is the best Mario game, the best Metal Gear Solid game, the best Zelda game...it clearly isn't because it's an entirely different beast.

Personally I blame the crappy security of Capcom. If you're not in the know, a guy by the name of lupinko was able to leak stuff about the roster on his twitter. As more and more characters were revealed, people began to see his list was right after all and firmly saw what was coming.

@fjcf123 Yes there are. There is Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing (Pretty Good), Sonic Unleashed (Highly Recomend), and Sonic the Hedgehog 2006 (Horrible Game). There is also Sonic the Hedghog 4 coming out for XBOX Live Arcade late 2010 and you can download any of Sonic's original SEGA Genesis games on XBOX Live Arcade as well. :)
