I got my copy of this game last week off of ebay. Today I got the computer I need to run it. It took some work and configuration but I just watched the intro and it works.
The game cannot be made for PC by some random person. For one, its not available anymore, and used copies are very hard to find.
For two, doing so would need a go ahead from the original copyright holder, who doesn't exist anymore. The copyright remains, though. Finally, there's a project to do just that. Don't try it yourself, or ask anybody else to do it. They will.
@alphacentfanguy First off, when the company goes under the copyright reverts to the person who filed it. No one is going to bother protecting the copyright on a game this old.
Second, it is still available. You just will have trouble finding it. Although, you did mention it is hard to find.
Finally, you really should be nice to people if you want them to listen to you. Calling someone an idiot is not conducive to open dialog.
I don't know if that's ever going to happen. The preview of The Journeyman Chronicles I saw said it was coming out in '07. It's 2008 now. Don't get me wrong, I wish it would come out, but at this point, I'm going to need some huge proof to change my mind.
If anyone have this game, could they make movie clips of the gameplay and put them on here since that's the closest that I'll ever get to playing this game lol.
Unfortunately that would be hard to do since this game was only released for the Macintosh and only works on Mac OS 8 or less. Not possible to run it on Mac OS X. I have the copy myself but having to find the right program to be able to record what one is doing on screen is hard enough to find as it is.
I have run this game in OS X's Classic Mode up through OS X Tiger (10.4) Leopard(10.5) discontinued Classic mode, so I can't play it anymore, but it in fact does run in Classic mode, which simulates Mac OS 9. ALso, I would recommend trying SnapZ Pro for screen video capture. Never tried it with Classic, but I have used it for many other things.
They had this for the Playstation 1 too!It would be wiser, that way you could play it on your Playstation 1,2 or 3.. Whichever ones you have! I'm pretty sure you have a playstation!
You have much less chance of finding those rare gems for the PS and Sega Saturn. I've been told by Tommy Yune himself that only a handful made it outside of Japan. Only chance you can expect to find it on is Ebay. I got my copy for the Macintosh from Ebay.
Yes, they are extremely hard to find, if not impossible.
Thankfully I was lucky enough to email Presto about the availability of Pegasus Prime just as they were shutting down, and they actually sent me a copy of the game free of charge, along with some BIT bumper stickers and Deep Time Unit patches! :o

Pretty sweet for me as a fan of the series.

Most likely. The demo ran on my IMac G3 with Mac OS 9. Never got to play Pegasus Prime, but I am eagerly awaiting Journeyman Chronicles.

Been planning on doing that, software record don't work with amount of lag from emulation, but I'll try through vcr type (none digital)

I always wanted to play this version! But I never had a Mac for one and this game is probably extremely hard to find these days :(.

I'm thinking of buying a Sega Saturn if I can find one in a few years, so I can play it.

But isn't it a Japanese version? I fear that I won't be able to read anything.....but I may look for it anyway, thanks for the suggestion.
