Dear Citizens, If you vote you don't have the right to complain. Why!? Because you didn't participate. Just like when you come home from work and catch me fucking your lover in the ass... you have no right to complain... you weren't home when the fuckin' started... it ain't your dink (or ass) involved, so you aren't participating. Kindly shut the door, watch some tv and wait for us to finish up, thank you. Don't Vote: There is no hope.
@LoveMeLoveMyDog80 Ha, yeah that was a foul up. It should read, If you don't vote you don't have the right to complain. My bad. Hopefully you got the gist of it though. Don't vote... there is no hope.
@calboy2 Lets see when a private group the women's voter league controlled the Presidential debates. Third party candidates participated. Once the Presidential debates became public no outside of the two corrupt political parties is allowed to participate. Public funding will do the same thing the only difference will be you will be taxed into poverty for the sham elections.
@simontimon2 We are a democracy, & denying doesn't change that, neither does asking questions about the constitution. Stupid contrarian, fascist, monarchist?
Yeah, it does. We are not a democracy we are a democratic republic. In a true democracy we would all vote on every issue. Did you vote on health-care reform, or did the person you voted for vote on your behalf?
Your last comment is particularly stupid, betraying a vast ignorance of political science. It is the artist equivalent of saying that just because something is black doesn't mean it can't be orange too.
@z3r0t0l3r4ns A democratic republic we are, we are also a representative democracy (according to James Madison). What you are referring to is direct democracy. & I can't believe how many people flunked civics, because anyone who knows the meaning of these terms knows that there is no contradiction. Indeed if we were to eliminate congress & have a direct democracy while still having a president as the CEO, we would still be a republic.
You're quite right. Democracy is not about electing "representatives", it is about direct voting on issues. The only democracy in the world is Switzerland. Americans have been swindled and have only their own stupidity to blame for it.
@simontimon2 NEWSFLASH: The maker of the video was referring to the PROCESS of democracy (which has been given a swift kick in the teeth, what with corporations now able to buy off whoever they want, legally); he didn't say we weren't a republic.
Right On Mark Fiore! I don't always agree with everything you say, but you say it in a way that makes me laugh. Thank you!

@Hanniboom That was a relatively recent thing, and the conservative majority is repealing it. According to their throne speech.

Cashocrats believe that corporations are people and THEY chose who wins, and we should brainwash the people to vote the way corporations as you know.
Are we in a Cashocratic or Democratic system now?

@yellowkrux that doesn't change the fact that the Constitution spicificly says where not a democracy.

@simontimon2 That doesn't change the fact that the constitution doesn't specify you exist. SO what's your point?
yellowkrux 1 year ago
