  • Al must think we're stupid..... dinosaurs couldn't play trumpets they would need lips.... jeeze (btw that's full of sarcasm)

  • Sarcasm enjoyed. In my classes I sometimes refer to myself as a equal opportunity insulter. I expect them to get even, and there are some good ones at times. Thanks for watching. Weird Al is a genius.... no matter what the language.

  • I love the syllables in Japanese, makes it more fun to listen to. :D

  • Wow. This was very interesting, that's for sure. I love Japanese music. In fact, most of my music IS Japanese, but I dunno. I think he was going too much for a literal translation for it to sound right. I'll be nice and not comment on some of the pronunciation either, because I love Weird Al and translating one of his own songs and singing it himself is awesome enough for me to overlook that. xD

BTW, this is one of my favorite Weird Al songs. <3

  • oh yadaaaaaaaaaaaaa (Japanese rules)

  • what does that sign say that the dinosaur was holding up at the end of the song?

  • "Don't forget to write"

  • lol pause at 1:26

  • lololololololololololool

  • if you think that was disgusting look at 2:48

  • i love the Japanese song lol

  • yeah, I hear Al actually sung a whole verse of this song in japanese in some of his concerts

  • hino ca desrte fandetom la pidetry guyt abutre cer tyr nog wed kolifetino la detydetayo! e darselembo OH OH OH nee getr y guty seftrewelty!.-o ^

  • Haha, i went to a Dr.Demento showing in Orange County and sang along to this song (he was playing it over the speakers for people to hear). Dr. Demento kept staring at me and staring at me, and after the song ended, he said "That kid is the first person to ever sing along to the japanese version of this song!" It was really funny. I smiled at him.

  • What an absolutely cool story to be able to tell!! I would love to see the Doctor in person some time because he has given me a variety of interesting songs - some of which I have even used in performance myself. Thank you so much for sharing.

  • He lives over in California, so he does promotional stuff here. :) He was at the Orange County Marketplace doing a Weird Al tribute

  • Since you know the Japanese version, I assume you have some Japanese interests perhaps. I happen to teach Japanese here in Indiana. I also mistyped in my last reply. The "DR" hasn't personally given me any songs, but through my exposure to Dr. Demento over the years, I've found quite a few that are not only entertaining, but useful as an occasional performer myself.

  • Love the Japanese version!

  • The song was released as a bonus track on the Japanese Release of Alapalooza

  • so i'm guising is was just a japanese guy who translated and sung this and the 'Eat it' song, due to Al's rare like japanese albums of his work (proof, visit his offical website)

  • okay...... actually i came across a rare vid a few days ago, it was japanese version of 'eat it' i think, it was like Al (and of course MJ for a huge start) but it was this japanese guy doing it and all that, also it was not great quility.

  • Lokk at EvilUnclefrank's profile and you'll probably find it there

  • who sings the japanese version? coz i dont know if Al speaks japanese

  • it was tranzlated

  • It really is him. It was recorded for the japanese releasse of it.

  • theres also a bilingual version which is a mixture of them both

  • Thanks for letting me know about a bilingual version. I will have to see if I can find it.

  • THIS IS HILARIOUS

  • Great fun! I love hearing songs translated into another language. I just wish I kept my Japanese up better, then I'd understand alot more.

  • some sound effects were left out in japanese.

  • The sound effects where left out because it wasn't made for the video. At the very end when the chopper is taking off the sound kicks back into the sounds from the real video. Its a very deep and murky sound over the fresh audio that was dubbed over.

  • Actually, I had problems with the ending in doing the dub. I had to go back to an original and edit in that portion of the clip without any dub whatsoever, because the Japanese version was missing the blink sound. Good ear!

  • kool video but the clay figures were stupid lookin

  • Good video..

  • stupid, but kool

  • Was that Al singing in Japanese?

  • It´s nice at japanese ;)

  • i agree and its so funny in japanese and it gives me lessongs on japanese :3 lolz
