second, the attacker is moving very slowly, which i a real battle just gives the defender a good chance of kicking the ball away

you obviously have no concept on how easy it is for attacker to get a shot on goal by simply rolling the ball to the side, as a defensive player I know what moves the attacker will attempt in order to fire a shot away so yes the attacker will have do it quickly but you don't have to be super quick in order to get a shot away
