Some of it fits but most doesnt Llike the part were she says she will leave him there to die, it cant be the main song for New Moon. Maybe just the motocycle or diveing scene.

I TOTALLY agree. I can see it going well when Bella jumps into the water. Plus, the song fits the plot well, and Bella's thoughts when Edward leaves. Summit is actually thinking of putting Lee on the soundtrack, and since I've heard this song, I hope she makes it. =D

You're reading so much from the lyrics. Lyrics is really not important. What is important is the music or the melody of the song. Usually they used just the song's intro or the actual music without the singer's voice, remember Mutemath's "Spotlight"? And why don't you read the lyrics of Flightless Bird, American Mouth and then tell me if it has any relevance with Twilight, even Paramore's Decode which was supposed to be written for Twilight.

I agree. The music should represent the atmosphere of the movie/book. For example, a hip hop song could present amazing lyrical connections to New Moon, but it wouldn't work in the movie 'cause of its non-indie feel.

& yes, Twilight's soundtrack presented very few songs having any lyrical revelance to Twilight. Never Think & Full Moon were examples of lyrical insignificance.

Paramore's song Decode DID present such.

i really like the song but i don't think that it's suitable for "new moon". the song says "only to find that you let me there to die". the girl is angry and describes a man that left her and didn't care for her. Edward left Bella for her own good, Bella was never angry to him and she knew deep inside that he truly loved her

I agree with you 100%, because bella never grows to resent Edward. Even when she starts getting close to Jake, she still strives to hear his voice because she's still madly in love with him. Some aspects of the song are fitting, just not the song as a whole
