  • Priority:

2 The action is not so dangerous and easy to control

3 The action is very fast and can hardly be resisted

4 This action must be asked of the opponents to the last line, so that he cannot escape. He has to parry. Only use if you lie down and get to have.

1 This action is very dangerous because I can out-maneuver the enemy. To fight only at the last line when you can no longer retreat.

  • Tactics:

Seeking the timing which the enemy worst can and/or put your best timing for that.

    What do you think?

Sorry for the bad English, I m a beginner .

    With best regards,

    Chris

  • Eventuality Tempo 3 (very fast Timing - two run towards each fencer):

You go in the Tempo with a step or a lung and do your hit. (put simply - go in the Tempo)

    Eventuality Tempo 4 (medium Timing):

You do an remise (put simply - do a Timing and reloading a Timing)

  • Eventuality Tempo 1 (slow Timing -two fencer run after each other):

You go out with a step and then you do a parry repost. (put simply - go out and do one tempo over them)

    Eventuality Tempo 2 (fast Timing):

You do a hit and go out with a step. (put simply - go out from the Tempo)

  • Initial situation:

we have a tempo from the opponents, which may be a step or a lunge. We have the timing from a preparation (for example from a "check back" from your video).

  • The declaration (That's what we learn in the Olympic fencing center Tauberbischofsheim/Germany):

See my videos. I have created for our beginner fencing. Not for high-end fencer couches ;-).

    Tempo 1 is Video 7,15, 19, 20, 21, 29

    Tempo 2 is Video 9, 14, 18, 24, 27, 31

    Tempo 3 is Video 8, 10, 13, 17, 23, 26, 28

    Tempo 4 is Video 6, 11, 12, 16, 22, 25, 30

  • I say: "Never run behind your opponents to get a hit"

I think that is a slow move. The opponents have much time for an action against. Today is fencing very quickly on the world cup tournaments. I teach only four timings (four perfect timings). I think that is all what we need.

  • Hello Seth,

sorry for the following bad English:-).

I've seen your videos and parts of them you can found in the German fencing schools. You have one timing in your videos that I will never teaching my students.

"You jump back and do then a lunge to the hit"

Why? That is not a perfect timing!
