  • My name is Everett Abrams of Deck Restoration Plus and these are the videos that drive me crazy. The information and methods in these two videos are very inaccurate. First, stating a stripper as an acid is false. Strippers are alkalines and NOT an acid. Proper wood restoration is a two-step process where an alkaline/stripper is used first followed by a wood brightener/acid in the second step. Strippers are to be applied to WET SURFACES ONLY to be effective and do not work unless wet and kept wet

  • @edge1713 Hello Everett. You are absolutely right! The Stripper is Alkaline and the Brightener is Acidic. The Brightener lowers the pH Thanks for clearing this up. This is a 2 step process. I added water to the Stripper in the pump sprayer so it sprays better. But you are right the surface does need to be WET for stripper to work! And if any areas dry, Re-Wet with the sprayer to keep the penetration working.

  • Great video. Very informative.

  • @ToddLara729 Thanks!
