It's normal for elections to be a little rigged in Russia but that's how it's always been. Putin will win either way, his party simply won by more points than required by persuading some public to assure they get enough votes. Putin is an excellent leader and majority of citizens in Russia will agree with that. I don't understand why everyone are so outraged this was a very predictable outcome.

Havent these American Jews been telling us for YEARS that Putin was trying to re-institution the dreaded Soviet Empire. Yet, here is the Communist Party of Russia protesting Putin's win.
What is clear is that the Russian people are fast turning once again towards the Communist parties which they had allegedly "rejected" two decades ago. Twenty years of suffering the tender mercies of the market does things like that to you.
Every politician/office holder on this planet works for or serves someone. Who does Putin serve? Why is he so scared to allow the Russian people their civil rights? Why not give every Russian what they have coming to them so they can live a good life. Russia is a very wealthy country and could do very well by all of it's citizens, if the bureaucrats and politicians would just get out of the way and give the people a chance to live. Overgovernance destroys the humanity in people.

I don't know if anyone has mention this before, but Putin did lose some power. In Russia you need 2/3rd of the seats in the State Duma to change the constitution. With just over 1/2 of the seats he doesn't longer have full power to do as he pleases.

People are saying the CPRF have won, why is that? What did they win? I support the CPRF, I do hope they win. People complain they are reformist, this is not true. Reform, such as that of Venezuela, or Bolivia, is not a reform but a revolution, as bloodshed is necessary for their victories.

@Maozond I'm inclined to agree. Every other political party and what passes for independent media in Russia has been saying this for many years. Even state outfits like RT admit rigging was endemic in the Yeltsin years. Furthermore the Ossetian candidate who was anti Russian Union was recently disqualified after winning 57% of the votes and was barred from standing again. And United Russia appears to count Chechnya as it Staunchest region with 99% of the vote.
I had some respect for Putin before they tried to push that bill through to recrimanizlie the LGBT community somewhat, then again. I'd like to see a change of government over there to be honest. Maybe the communist party will pick up more support, who knows.

The elections in Russia are continuously manipulated from 1991 to now, everyone admits in Russia that in the 1996 elections Zyuganov should have won the presidential elections as the popularity of Yeltsin was about 3%.
Although I do not live in Russia, I monitor russian speaking internet - youtube channels, forums etc. One thing is absolutely clear - most russians are with The Communist Party.

It is obvious that the communist party would have got at least 30% in a fair election, by the way the massive protests that came after the election results are also proof that the results have been wronged.
As far as I know the majority of Russians hate Putin and United Russia. A lot of people say they couldn't find anyone among their friends and family who voted for UR. Some of the unofficial United Russia names popular among the ordinary people are "Lets Finish Russia" or "The Party of Liars and Thieves". The majority of ordinary people are convinced United Russia is getting most of their votes from fraud, bribes and places like prisons, army, factories where people are made to vote for them.

I don't know if anyone has mention this before, but Putin did lose some power. In Russia you need 2/3rd of the seats in the State Duma to change the constitution. With just over 1/2 of the seats he doesn't longer have full power to do as he pleases.

Even state outfits like RT admit rigging was endemic in the Yeltsin years. And United Russia appears to count Chechnya as it Staunchest region with 99% of the vote.

1) Putin, Medvedev and United Russia are still by far the most popular party in the country.
2) People are happy with them. People do feel like the country is moving forward, and indeed it is.
3) Gollos is an American organization. They care not for Russia or her people, they just exist to promote the NATO agenda.

As far as I know the majority of Russians hate Putin and United Russia. A lot of people say they couldn't find anyone among their friends and family who voted for UR. Some of the unofficial United Russia names popular among the ordinary people are "Lets Finish Russia" or "The Party of Liars and Thieves". The majority of ordinary people are convinced United Russia is getting most of their votes from fraud, bribes and places like prisons, army, factories where people are made to vote for them.
