  • best radiohead album ... EVER

  • Comment removed

  • I don't like comparing because all music has good qualities but this song does make me remember Ok Computer alot.

  • @zaynab100 me too :') and this song is what made me hooked onto it.

  • Top Tier - OK Computer, The Bends, Hail to the Thief

Second Tier - Kid A, In Rainbows

Third Tier (still great... just "lesser" in my opinion) - Pablo Honey, Amnesiac, The King of Limbs

  • @mook5555 I think In Rainbows is top tier.

  • this song makes me have a little breakdown everytime i hear the ending, but i listen to it everyday for 3 years.

  • I hate to chime in on this stupid "which album is the best" thing, but why is there no love for The King of Limbs? That album is amazing. It's just challenging and takes a few listens to really "get".

  • @LMA0NAISE

Watching their performance from the basement made me appreciate King of Limbs more, should chekc it out yourself if you haven't

  • @hudsonmarco I totally agree, its so much better than the album sound in my opinion,

  • 1. OK Computer

    2. The Bends

    everything else sucks

  • @ram0000100 Then why the hell are you here?

  • @GamecubeLPs I'm listening to their post-90s albums

  • @ram0000100 In my opinion, Ok Computer is amazing. The Bends is great, but all the others such as Kid A, Amnesiac, and This very album make them seem like dust after a few listens. I was like you at first. Listen to the other albums, and you will change your opinion, fast.

  • @GamecubeLPs I agree. For a while I couldn't listen anything after Ok Computer and I thought The Bends and Ok Computer are their only proper albums. Then don't know what happened, I enjoy their post OK Computer stuff a lot more and previous ones just seem corny in comparison.

  • @GamecubeLPs Won't happen to me. The least i need in a song is some kind of melody and they have none

  • @ram0000100 Suit yourself...

  • @ram0000100 run along then, asswipe

  • @SnoreFox LOLLOLLOLOL

  • @ram0000100 Shup up, fat emo shit :p

  • @SoundLoudBand how did you know?

  • STOP , STOP, all the albums are great .

  • 1.OK COMPUTER

    2.IN RAINBOWS

    3.KID A

    4.HAIL TO THE THIEF

    5.THE KING OF LIMBS

    6.THE BENDS

    7.AMNESIAC

    8.PABLO HONEY

  • I don't want to be "that guy," but rank-ordering Radiohead albums in terms of greatness is a little ridiculous. The band has changed so much since they started playing that comparing an album like Kid A to The Bends is similar to (in fact, almost exactly like) comparing an alt-rock album to an electronic album. Both are attempting different styles of music that can't really be compared to each other.

You know that your band changes radically when it can claim itself as an influence.

  • @TheSpoonman00 I think that's why it's so interesting to rank them and compare with others. They mastered quite a lot of textures and terrains, so people's opinions can be quite diverse. Some may like the ambient-electronica time of Radiohead, some may like the in-between, and some may like the alternative-rock era. Not only that, but each timeframe conicides with a certain character. Kid A, in my opinion, isn't the best because I am more into the raw-edgy mood of Amnesiac.

  • Kid A (better than the sum of it's parts...which r incredible anyway)

Amnesiac (honestly i think that sonically this is the best)

In Rainbows/ King Of Limbs (I think these are like brothers, closely related but very different)

Ok Computer (one of the greatest but just not as interesting)/ Hail To The Thief (not as good as the sum of it's parts)

The Bends (I really like bulletproof :/ ...)

    Pablo

  • This is the Radiohead song I always forget is so great.

  • 1. OK Computer / The Bends

    3. Hail to the Thief

  • @AndyMarz513 why 8?

  • @igorchillipeppers123

    8 radiohead albums...

  • @HeavenOfUrbicio7Syn ok i know it but i dont know what that has to do with anything

  • @igorchillipeppers123 if you read the previous comments you´ll see that people are making lists on which albums they consider the best. and AndyMarz513 is saying something like: "it doens´t matter, they´re all Radiohead, they´re all good".

  • In Rainbows > Kid A = OK Computer = Hail to the Thief = Amnesiac > The King of Limbs > Pablo Honey

there can be no other answer

  • @poopinlard Huh?

  • Comment removed

  • Great album.

  • Kid A

    Hail to the Thief

    In Rainbows

    Amnesiac

    OK Computer

    The King of Limbs

    The Bends

    Pablo Honey.

If you disagree you can kiss my arse, as this is my own opinion.

  • @StormyPilot94 I personally can't really place the albums in a list anymore. They all have their upsides and downsides for me. But I have yet to find a Radiohead song that I don't really like. 2 or three are like "meh", most are like "awesome!" and the rest are just breathtaking miracles.

  • @StormyPilot94 YES! other than the fact the fake plastic trees is the most amazing song!

  • This is my favourite radiohead album, wasn't always but fell in love with it. Its so haunting

  • i love this album

  • I agree this album is underrated. It's not THE quintessential Radiohead album like OK Computer, but in terms of lyrics it's just mind blowing. They are cryptic as hell, if anyone out there knows what I'm talking about...

  • Hail to the Thief is 1st or 2nd on the list for me, basically tied with ok computer. This album is amazing!

  • HTTT in my opinion is just not mixed very well

  • Amnesiac

    Hail to the Thief

    Kid A

    In Rainbows

    OK Computer

    The King of Limbs

    The Bends/Pablo Honey (tied)

    LOL OOPS

  • My favorite Radiohead albums from least favorite to favorite:

    8. Pablo Honey

    7. The Bends

    6. In Rainbows

    5. OK Computer

    4. King of Limbs

    3. Hail to the Thief

    2. Amnesiac

    1. Kid A <3

But frankly every album except Pablo Honey is nearly perfect.

    4. In Rainbows 9.999999999/10

    5. Amnesiac 9.5/10

    6. Hail to the Thief 9.3/10

    7. The King of Limbs 8.1/10

    8. Pablo Honey 7.0/10

IMO HttT songs are brilliant; just as good as anything Radiohead have done since OK Computer (the greatest album of all time)! But Amnesiac gels better as an overall album, so I ranked it higher. People stupidly criticize HttT for being too long. Sure it has 14 tracks, but it's only 3 minutes longer than OKC!

  • @Colliermoose sorry friend, hail to the thief is #1.

  • 1. HttT and Amnesiac (Gotta include "The Butcher" as a solo song up here).

    2. Kid A

    3. OK Computer, In Rainbows, The Bends

    4. The King of Limbs

    5. Pablo Honey

  • @ftwsalio Absolutely! In this very order!

  • 1. OK Computer 10/10

    - The Bends 10/10

    - In Rainbows 10/10

    4. Amnesiac 9,5/10

    - Kid A 9,5/10

    6. The King of The Limbs 9/10

    - Hail to the Thief 9/10

    8. Pablo Honey 7,5/10

  • 1. OK Computer

    2. In Rainbows

    3. The Bends

    4. Kid A

    5. Amnesiac

    6. Hail To The Thief

    7. Pablo Honey

    8. The King Of Limbs

  • 1. OK Computer/Kid A

    2. In Rainbows/HTTT

    3. The Bends

    4. The King Of Limbs

    5. Pablo Honey

    6. Amnesiac

I love how relaxing the guitar melody is in this song. It's really cute-sounding.

  • I now thats right

    5. Kid A

    6. Amnesiac

    7. The King of Limbs

    8. Pablo Honey

  • Okay, I'll give it a go, why not? 1. OK Computer 2. Hail To The Thief 3. Amnesiac 4. The Bends 5. In Rainbows 6. Kid A 7. Pablo Honey YES THATS RIGHT KID A SUCKED. Pabo Honey did too, but everyone already knows that. Havent listened to all of King of Limbs yet, but so far it just sounds like outtakes from In Rainbows Radiohead are so much better when they play guitar and write actual songs, instead of making depressive 'sound collages' or whatever they think they've been doing the past 8 yrs
  • Personally, I like all the albums equally. :\

  • My favorite to least-liked Radiohead Album

    1) Amnesic

    2) Kid A

    3) Hail to the Thief

    4) In Rainbows

    5) The Bends

    6) King of the Limbs

    7) Ok Computer

    8) Pablo Honey

Seriously, I don't see the magic in OK Computer. Maybe because I wasn't into Radiohead when it first came out, but the only songs I am particuarly fond with are No Surprises, Electioneering, Karma Police, and Subtteranean Homesick Alien

  • Man ever song on ok computer is good airbag on thru

  • @jackiediamonds Yes, its pretty good. But it isn't the best. All Radiohead is good thus far.

  • top 5 radiohead albums

    1: kid a

    2:ok computer

    3:hail to the thief

    4: kings of limbs

    5: in rainbows

all amazing albums and my opinion, whats yours?

  • @mrcrazyoli Your forgot Amnesic! How could that be so low?

  • scatterbrain → a wolf at the door

    perfect

  • I just made pictures in my head for 2 hours listening to this shit!! :)

  • Comment removed

  • man this ever complaining whining falsetto voice is so unnecessary for such a splendid singer and band.

  • @HatakeKakash What? How dare you?!?! I fart in your general direction! Your mother is a hamster and your father smells of Elderberries!

  • @LucasSpurrell one of the more compelling arguments on youtube i see

  • @LucasSpurrell ...what are those quotes from?

  • @meatball1324 Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

  • @HatakeKakash yes, i kind of agree, it kind of works in this song though.

  • This album was amazing. The lyrics are so deep. The whole album was so politically driven but not in a derivative fashion. just brilliant.

  • 3:02-3:11 is such a pretty and relaxing ending. beautiful song

  • For me personally, the albums go:

In Rainbows = Kid A > The Bends > Hail To The Thief = Amnesiac > Ok Computer > Pablo Honey

  • This song is really emotional

  • This is a beautiful song.

  • Hail to The Thief is the most underrated album of Radiohead.

THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME, so beautifully dark and textured. Beautiful musical and emotional landscape!!!!

  • this is their best album in my reserved opinion

  • he who, having no touch of the Muses' madness in his soul, comes to the door and thinks that he will get into the temple by the help of art- he, I say, and his poetry are not admitted; the sane man disappears and is nowhere when he enters into rivalry with the madman

  • this song makes me want to tear up.

  • I can't put one Radiohead album in front of another. I like whichever one I'm listening to at the time the best :)

This is a good one on HttT; I think my favorite is 2+2=5 though.

  • I would get a headache trying to figure out my favorite top 10 Radiohead songs There are so many good ones.I'd put Scatterbrain behind There There and Go To Sleep as my favorite songs on Hail To The Theif.

  • not gonna lie, this is one of my favorite radiohead songs. All of their music has no substance, just this guy wining (no insult thats just how he sings). Its interesting but not fantastic. this song just has a good feel about it

  • @twicever How many of their songs have you heard?

  • @LicoriceLain probably around 20 XD my sis gave me their discography and its kinda hard to listen to 100+ songs.

    any suggestions?

  • @twicever "Cutttooth", "Just". "Pyramid Song", "Planet Telex", "Dollars and Cents", "Like Spinning Plates", "Videotape", "Karma Police", "Optimistic", "The National Anthem" and "Kid A" to start.

  • @LicoriceLain NO!! Don't tell the poor guy to listen to Radiohead in mixed up songs - cohesive or not, their albums are each an experience in their own. If its your first time, twicever, listen to them the way they were intended, with the optional choice of a bottle of wine or two on a dark night. It really is a beautiful way to kill your time, this record and Kid A especially. So my advice would be to go knock yourself out, you can thank me for the hangover

  • @daddyfatsaxohten I see. ;) Well, you have just described a lovely evening.

  • This song has one of those moments which are so good, in this case @2.19. There is another one towards the end of Jigsaw falling into place.

  • this is one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard. Makes me want to cry

  • RS ranked this album number 89 on the greatest albums of the decade list

rolling stone magazine are a desgrace to music

this album deserves to be at least number 20 or 35

    retards

  • ...somewhere im not scatter brain (:

  • great song....

  • Hail to the Thief - Their Greatest Yet.

  • FROM MEX....... RADIOHEAD RULES..............

  • Scatterbrain seems to be a bit inspired by Knives Out from Radiohead's previous album Amnesiac to me- like a subdued Knives Out.

  • best radiohead album

  • one of the most amazzing albums from one of the most amazzing bands....

  • i love how jonny greenwood incorporates classical guitar into a modern indie/ ambient sound

  • if you didnt hear instrumental...well you should

  • My favorite RH song. Hail to the Thief is a brilliant album.

  • This song is so peaceful and melancholic, yet also sort ominous. Which fits in beautifully with the eye-of-the-storm type imagery in the lyrics.

  • I like this one & Backdrifts (Honeymoon Is Over), Where I End and You Begin (The Sky Is Falling In), The Gloaming (Softly Open Our Mouths in the Cold), and There There (The Boney King of Nowhere) most

  • Why is it when i see someone rank there fav Radiohead albums, HttT is always low, or last on their list. Is this album really that underated?

  • I've no idea. It's fantastic.

  • @saosin900 I always thought Amnesiac was Radiohead's most underrated album, but I guess this one comes close. Either way, all of their albums are great.

  • @saosin900 those fuckers really get experimental on this album.

  • @saosin900 i like hail to the thief.

  • @saosin900 i know what you mean but i have two friends who have listened to all of radioheads albums and this album is actually their favorite. So there's still hope!!!

  • @saosin900 HTTT and Kid A are my favourites. ;P

  • @saosin900 It's because even if it is down on the RH list, it's still better than anything else.

  • @saosin900 It has GREAT songs. Scatterbrain, Myxomatosis, Wolf at the Door, SAIL TO THE MOON (!!!!), Sit Down Stand Up, THERE THERE (!!!!)...

... but the one thing that drags HttT down is its lack of cohesiveness. It's a very sprawling album and it has trouble finding its focus at times, and it really sags in the middle. Hit songs are a-plenty, but that doesn't make for a good album - it just makes for a collection of hit songs.

Kid A, on the other hand, is a story from start to finish.

  • @saosin900 yea, people are dumb.

  • @saosin900 I don't understand why it's always trashed by fans even....

  • @saosin900 the album its self was pretty f#%^ing awesome but following up kid a and amnesiac is not an easy thing.. those 2 albums really changed the whole game. . httt rocked but in a lot of ways it was a step back from the ambition they brought with those 2 albums .. for me personally i can only say that after 911 it seems that no one cared about cryptic intelligent music anymore.. something changed .. i saw them in august of '01 at liberty park wit the towers in the background..

  • @saosin900 It's my personal favourite.

  • @saosin900 I love about half the songs on this album, including this one. The other half range from 'dislike' to 'mildly enjoy.'

  • @saosin900

Hail To The Thief is my FAVORITE

  • @saosin900

No... it's just all of their other albums have been amazing.

  • @saosin900

yep, it IS (sadly) underrated. It's my favorite Radiohead album,so it doesn't surprise me.....

  • @saosin900 This album is my favorite of them all :)

  • @saosin900 nah. Their other albums are just THAT good.

  • @saosin900

its junk compared to the rest....

  • @saosin900 HttT is my favorite album of theirs. I find it, in fact, far more enjoyable to Kid A, which still feels to me rather inchoate. Love Amnesiac though.

  • @saosin900 its not as complete as say in rainbows, bends, and the like. i mean its radiohead so we all will find something to attach our dreams to. so...

  • beautiful, love this song

  • Agreed Scott17... this is my favourite song on HTTT...So melodic and dreamlike...If any song really fits ME, it's this....

  • Why is there only one comment? I want everyone to tell HERE how beautiful this song his, beginning by me :

THIS IS THE BEST SONG ON HTTT!!!!

  • You should look up all the great music that's on youtube. You'll be shocked how under commented/ rated / viewed some of the best music is.

  • @Scott17quebec

This was my least favorite at first, and last to be my favorite. They are all the best.

  • Oh! The original one is better than the remix!

    Thanks!
