  • So basicaly scientists are fools for only believing claims that have been empiricaly proven and dismissing those that haven't? Nobody claims that subjectivity is an object, that doesn't even make sense, it's like saying water is not an elephant.

  • @TomasMikaX just because you can't wrap your head around it, doesn't mean it doesn't make sense. "water is not an elephant" makes perfect sense to me.

  • Osho meets science on its own terms...and then tells it about it's own mistakes... that is truly inspired and inspirational. Thank you Osho - much love and gratitude

  • Basically you have to build your own telescope to watch the inner sky. You can't borrow someone else's tools to test their claims. That's the difficulty.

Just like if in astronomy you had to build your own telescope before you can even begin to watch the night sky, that would be a major barrier to establishing it as a legitimate science.

  • He talks about science of his day. Science has evolved since then.

  • @tobo86 yeah right!

  • osho's vision is beyond explaination

  • Hey.. but he seys that 'there' (in me) is emptines, so: there is nothing, and scientist are right, and he is right; there is no difference.

So, why he is talking about emptines (about 'inner') like about something which is not empty, but full? ;]

And: the best methotology for the inner is philosophy ;]

  • @incognito509b His meaning of emptiness is totally different than what scientists mean when they get the conclusion that there is no soul.

Osho have said many times that what is within cannot be expressed by words. It is both empty and full and all kind of terms can be used to describe it and those words would still be wrong. It is something unique that can only be lived and cannot be talked about.

  • he wore cool hats.

  • Is it true that drugs can be used to reach the inner of consciousness and do they have a similar effect short term of meditation?

  • @TEARDUCTER

in short, yes. many drugs can be used in this way. However you cannot compare meditation to a drug, each are unique experiences.

  • Short but elaborate introduction to esoteric knowledge.

  • @zatoichiable there is nothing exoteric here... osho studied philosophy and is helping people and even therapists to find themselves...

thats it. esotheric is different, esotheric is bullshit to be honest...

  • Nice!

  • Este caballero hablar cosas que ni el alcanza a procesar completamente :S

Sigue el razonamiento de una explicacion irracional para que una masa de gente o la gente, le de razon.

    PESIMO - MALO - BAD.

  • Embaçado!

  • @TheStigma. Dear chemical reaction, your opinions seem very objective to me. Subjective and objective Greetings (from another chemical reaction).

  • I respect this person deeply for the amunt of thought he seems to put into each sentence he speaks, but I believe that the "inner" is essentially also an objective if you only strive deep enough to investigate it. Inner consciousness seems as far as we know only to be chemical reactions in our brains. I think that it is important to know these phenomenon not just from a subjective perspective, but from an objective one also.

  • @TheStigma

I used to think that way too, until I realized that there is no basic unit to reality. For there to be a basic unit of reality, it would have to be indivisible, which is logically impossible. The ion potentials are not the smallest variables affecting the brain. Reality is infinitley divisible, that is the only logically possible reality. The concept of an objective reality is a fallacy. Reality is a bottomless pit, 'inside' all of us is the infinite. Reality is subjective...

  • @TheStigma if this phenomenon is only chemical reactions, how can we know it from both a subjective perspective and an objective perspective. Why can't a computer know the inner by detecting chemical reactions in the brain

  • @TheStigma chemical reactions explain true conciousness and awernes of this experience, nah dont think so

  • heh I bet that guy got an epiphany there..

  • i dare someone to enter a staring contest with this man LOL

  • @imaginedbygod seriously loll

  • beautiful

  • i trully respect this guy but

i still dont understand wy all these guys have a beard

  • @catnation He would ask you why you don't have one, if you are a man.

  • @catnation In Osho's words. "A man without a beard is like a woman with one."

  • @catnation because it's pure nature

  • @catnation it looks wiser :)

  • simply amazing

  • how could he be so relaxed yet so attentive and sharp in words.

  • First of all he is starting his argument on the false premise that scientists only observe objects which are the outer reality. The whole subject of psychology consists of observing and experimenting with the inner world ie thoughts, concepts etc.Science studies all phenomena whether they are internal or external.

  • You're absolutely correct. What about the math - none of it exists in the real world to be observer and yet people have invented it by the act of thinking. There's nothing mystic about it. Nothing which can't be explained - unlike religion, which pretends to be able to explain everything, while denying one's right to question it.

  • @61kashif no it's not! science may study words and psychology thats not the inner! that is outter as well the brain and all thoughts in it are outter. Inner cannot be studied by science because their is no way to disect it their is no instruments to detect it it is on a completely different plane of existence. You don't even use the mind to study it it is viewed through the heart through consciousness itself. ONe must drop the brain to enter that realm

  • I have never seen an insincere look on this man's face. his whole being seems to emanate truth. People who think he is unenlightened are just jealous or too dumb to understand him. We live in a society of mediocre, unoriginal, outsighted people of coarse he will be of controversy... What original, creative, insightful person is not controversial?

  • @CrushJehovah

    true dat

  • There's a Ken Wilber video I just watched stating more or less the same; glad to see consistency here.

  • God made the world

  • God does not exist, the universe creates itself continuously.

  • @BurntCatMedia how?

  • @BurntCatMedia That creative force is what people call God. I call it Life Force, Universe or the Creative Mind- some people call the phenomenon God- it is the word that differs- otherwise the belief is the same. :)

  • @3damnthis so God does exist?

  • @BurntCatMedia itself that creates itself continiously is a supreme god which exists and doesnt exist!

  • just by looking at someone's eyes you can see into their harts. Yes it takes practis, but this is what awakening is about....!! Be carefull not to be cheated just because you hear a few beautifull words. Always look at peoples background. Has this man been living in England? or US, then has the Cia or other organisations have had power on this man?

  • @BishiSab this guy is dead. you never heard of osho ? he has travelled all over the world. people still follow him but obviously governments will oppose him.

  • @BishiSab It's interesting you say that because I've been getting better and better at sensing immediately if "this is a person I want to be around" when I first encounter them. There is a lot of soul depth or a little when you look into someone's eyes. You can also sense the atmosphere around a person and kind of know if they're in it for themselves or if they are unselfish and want to understand the cosmos.

  • @BishiSab this man was murdered by the us gov

  • The Beard

It holds all the wisdom, he just maintains it.

  • The questioner wud hv bcum more puzzled after OSHO's answer :D

He wud try understanding the answer he got and thus either may find go on to inner journey or may go to the "final" journey out of curiosity and being a failure to know the meaning.... HAHAHA

(and the questioner is looking so scared :D )

  • @chalnikalnaa i also thought the questioner looked insecure!

  • If the unit of all matter is atom then why things vary in taste ,touch, smell ,color?

  • because atoms are arranged in billions of different ways into complex and simple molecules that form the world we live in.

  • @shane90000 Hey man i think thats to do with a different basis, all the sense are the sensations and interpretations of the brain which is alot bigger and is made up of collective of many many atoms,

  • @shane90000 but no seriously, id say its because the electrons stimulate you're nerver on your tongue. It's all connected like the buddhist say.

  • We have been blessed with the lucky circumstance that some of the awakened teachers within the last decades - like Rajneesh here, or Ulrich ("Eckhart") Tolle - are not only that but also highly educated, philosophically competent people !

A delight to listen to !

  • He doesn't blink one time

  • Be everything you try to define...and questions will disappear...

  • I like him so good person

  • I am on science side!! Life is a happening! what we use now is not our's words, thoughts, our body(Cells made of atms( are indestructible)). Since atms are indestructible they belong to something or someone some 100000 yrs back. let us take atm be the last thing. so all atms hve same property! jus the no. of atms in a cluster differ. So each cluster has diff property. obviously permutation n combination of these diff properties will be confusing. like

    1+1 is simple

    what abt 534673 X 84574193 ?

  • There is no side!! Science explains fisical, chemical ....process and then you have spiritual process.

  • @youngking1686, There are no "sides", there just "IS". You're applying methodology to explain a side, but the method you use is not applicable to the "inner" which itself is unmeasurable. In scientific terms, it's like for example you're attempting to use trigonometry to define Quantum Entanglement. The two methodologies are entirely incompatible, and therefore only confuses you. Meditation is the key to accepting the disparity here, if first you can accept the possibility of the inner.

  • mollycools

  • Outstanding and stupendous!!! OSHO is great!!

  • our inner is already defined, the word is *character*

your character is defined by how you grew up, what you experienced, what conclusions you came to.

its the action/reaction sceme that goes on in your brain.

people always want it to be something gloryful but its nothing more than electrical storms in our brains.

we are organic machines , nothing more.

we are an advanced computer, do you search for a *soul* in a computer just because it can count and do basic *thinking* ?

  • @nekftw

The EGO is constantly RE-defined and reinforced as more experience arrives with time, therefore you are now not the six-year-old you were once. Nor when you're 70 will you be the person you are now.

We are dynamic beings therefore a defined character traps us in a prison of trying to be instead of just being.

The Ego is not who you are, it's what it wants you to THINK you are.

When the ego is subjugated the true self is realised.

We are all the same at the base of mind.

  • its an interesting mental construction I also had some time ago but its very dishonest with your experience. You dont only think, you actualy see your thoughts and your life. What is hapening to you when you say that is that you are bothered or amazed by some type of mental framework that engloves the knowledge you have been taugh -as was my case- by society that seems to fail to reach those same conclusions. this veil is incredibly thin. dont think of soul in relation to any atributes

  • "we are organic machines , nothing more"-> this is dogmatic.

"we are an advanced computer, do you search for a *soul* in a computer just because it can count and do basic *thinking* ?" - that is not the reason "we" search, in fact we dont search at all its all wright here. the body is like our vehicle (mechanical with mechanical behabiour). Its our temple; its not us really.

  • if you are honest you wont find answers youll find reality as the truth. And the mind wont know what to do with it. It will seem helpless and not smart.. But you can still use it to make planes, play "go", and all that :)

  • You feel beter if you know but knowledge is only electrical storms in your brain as you said. it has limitations but the part of you who sees is not bound the same way. if you are watching this you probably already know all this ;P

  • first of all, there was a man first ant later he invented the computer so how can u say we are advanced computer?

i agree with all that action/reaction and electrical storm thing, but this is just a data about our physical body and its chemic reactions...im not saying that there is something more just cuz i want to worship smth... i say so cuz i have experienced smth more... how can u deny inner experience wihtout being in that state? have u ever experienced a meditation?

  • I can cut down a conscience to its compounds. The subjective can be viewed on as objective as the stone is used t build a wall. Using the right meditation you can find your subjective self in the same way you see the outer.

Opposites are not fixed, they may become the same according to circumstances. That is what dialectics told us.

  • @verrybrainie

    Namaste.

  • I am a scinetist, very aware of dialectiscs, and i have a great respect for many of Osho's teaching.

But i'm not convinced of the part where he tells that if there is an author, there must be an inner. I experienced the power of meditation. But his logic here is not right towards my understanding.

He is not afraid to contradict himself, and so he does as i learned from him that my subjective conscience can be seen objectively, with practice even by itself.

  • OSHO is incredible. Just incredible.

  • omg osho you saved me again.

  • i like the way he explains the duality between things like inner and outside, there both complementing eachother, a basic rule in life

  • great........

  • Dude, gotta love Osho, he's the most awesome!

  • so you can't have one without the other? polarity? if you are poor on the outside in the physical then what?then your rich on the inside? or if your poor somebody else is rich? what are you saying?

  • Kayentertainment101, it is always very difficult to convey in words the Truth. Words are only a guide, a finger pointing to the Moon. Do not focus on the finger (the words of Osho) but instead focus on his very existence. It is in the Silence between the words that the Truth is being revealed. Take a deep breadth, let it out slowly, and don't try to do anything. Watch the video again and allow whatever questions that your brain produces to arise and fall. Just sit and allow, and wait.

  • bruce lee said that and so did the buddha, mahavira and patanjali et al

  • get use to it. life is not logical. logic is not = light = good = god = hapyness = ... sorry to have to tell this to you.

  • What's there to be sorry about?

  • i love my DADA

  • he just looks like he would only be about 30years old under that beard...

  • looking at him as he is talking, It's like he's still asking "do you understand, do you really understand what I'm trying to tell you??" :-)

  • great things arise from this video in every scientific mind

  • Brilliant answer from a very vibrant and amazing soul!!!!!!!!!!

  • What he is saying is absolutely true!

  • OMG...I am in love with him....

  • His eyes are still and calm. They reflect mind. It is difficult for a common man.

  • awesome

  • i wish i could be him.. :(

  • As you read his books, in a way, you will become him.

  • Very strange, but, in a way, you are right...

  • science is near truth but not the truth! truth is now n here.

  • there is no doubt that he was a genious who was often misunderstod. his ideas and thoughts reflect his hold on human mind.i am sure it was restless mind devising new means and ways to calm the ever turbulent minds of the world:

    Dr. Gourishankar Pathaik

  • MUY BUENO!

    MUITO BOM!

    VERY GOOD!

  • nice to see all these new Osho videos posted.

  • It is so profoundly beautiful to hear this beautiful man speak the truth...What is more amazing is his way of clearly come to the point & cut through the BS..

  • the notable thing here is: he is not rejecting science, as science rejects him. For he speaks the truth - and truth is always both opposites. And not so the science

  • :)))

  • Osho has been one of the most amazing "individuals" the world has ever known.

  • I LOVE HIM

  • totally agree - scientists brilliantly study the world around them making awesome discoveries - while tending to dismiss the human mind as something they aren't capable of studying.... meditation is the same as observation one makes in a lab, only in meditation the lab goes with you wherever you go!

  • Osho thx you for everything you shared with us human beings!

  • wow

i'm so sure that little scientist dude got a little enlightened there, you can hear him at times go "ah huh" lol

  • yeah I have to agree with that...LOL, its a reaction to seeds being planted.

  • simple but very powerful!

  • simple-true-loving

  • He's a shortcut to true happiness and joy .

  • Not really an exact science.

  • I'm pretty sure Osho knew about Psychology given the fact he's spoken volumes which is now called "Beyond Psychology". Many many people who came to Osho were psychologists, psychiatrists and whether you agree or disagree with schools of psychology---during the 70s and 80s, Freud and Jung were IN.

  • Why do comments need approval? I don't approve of that. I do think that what Osho says here is brilliant, simple and true, and I wish more people said it. I think that people should be able to express alternative opinions though.

  • Do you know how brilliant what he says here is?

Going on what I've heard, and how I feel about the way he talks, I don't like him, (not that that matters a gnat's fart) - but what he says here.....

  • I disagree with him saying that because a scientist cant analyze conciousness he denies it. I do not know what conciousness is made of, but I know it is there.

  • Well, I think he and Carl Jung would get on famously.

  • What a powerful master!

  • Respect for the man as being who he is, but it goes too slow for me. But thanks for posting.

    Peace

  • I find for myself that when something is too slow for me it means I am lost in the future. I want to hurry up and receive the information. I deal with this by following my breath, being very aware of my in breath and out breath. Breath is like an anchor that holds me in the present moment.

    _/|\_

  • yes, by the standard of the clock-obsessed society we live in he is extremely slow. However, I find when I just watch him, and listen to the silence, I feel I am floating in the bliss of who I really am. This stillness is terrifying to the ego, which want always to be doing something. How many plastic boxes did I make at the factory this week? That's too slow!

  • DAMN your words hit the spot,....nicely said

  • wow....does this man ever blink?

    nonetheless great wisdom..

    one love

  • @Vega88beats he is practising his lizard meditation, in which one learns to not blink. i have tried it myself. one time i went so deep i actually turned the same colour as my carpet. like a kind of camouflage mechanism.

  • i really enjoy watching his videos

  • interesante

  • If we want to get at least close to the truth we must use the scientific method. Osho is trying to use scientific words like methodology, hypothetically, electrons, etc. But the message is that he believes in consciousness and wants you to have faith in him. I've notice that Osho in order to diminish the value of a posture (like science in this case) just explains how does it work with simple words and makes it seem simplistic and below his "awereness level". Lets be rational please...

  • The scientific method, though powerful and useful, is not the only way or the ultimate way. It applies only to a small section of experience. The scientific method will never give us weather forecasts a month in advance. Nor will it explain what we are doing here on this planet.

Science is a tool, but becomes a religious god if believed in. Nothing takes the place of responsibility.

Osho doesn't ask people to believe in him. He only asks you to question your assumptions about life.

  • "Science is a tool, but becomes a religious god if believed in."

"Osho doesn't ask people to believe in him. He only asks you to question your assumptions about life. "

    Well said..........

  • Osho the Socrates of our time :) He is great!!

  • Thank you Osho

    Thank you Nitamo !

  • People are missing out on one of the greatest beings ever.

  • the scientist goes on finding everything about the world, except himself, amazing...

  • big respect OSHO

  • absolute Genius! .... please share more!

  • this makes so much sense, thanks for posting keep those osho vids coming!

  • Thank you Beloved Master

  • ty much .. love osho his ideas rock

  • Great Video...

  • Fantastic idea
