As a 22 year old white female, I believe in what Obama's willing to provide America. Also, IN RESPONSE to an earlier comment to Obama being of youthful favor: Keep in mind that educated politics in all levels of schooling aren't exactly a priority. Perhaps youth would care more[about voting] if they were made aware of what exactly is crucial for their futures[regarding political issues].
Why is America so afraid of a better world not only for each and every individual in the US but the rest of the world as well? Obama is willing to help us achieve our dreams and live a future beyond our wildest dreams. Be aware America that the strength you believe is behind this country isn't all that it could be. These colors are running in our streets, our systems, and our hearts.
While some of what Obama says is great I have a huge problem because he rarely says "HOW" he will accomplish his goals. Furthermore why in the world does he want to add 92,000 troops to the middle east? Finally why is he a member of the much too powerful council on foreign relations which boasts other notable members such as Dick Chaney, the Bush family and and the Rockefellers who are backing one world governments and undermining the sovereignty of the US and its citizens?
OBAMA 2008..... Amazing... he made 40 minutes speech w/out even having to write it down while our current Cookoo President... Bush the Moron cannot complete a single line w/out making a trillion mistakes in it...
Obama's problem is that he won't win. His base is the Youth of America... and problem we have in America is that America's youth do not vote... they're too busy getting drunk. I wish he starts working hard to attract adult population of America who actually get their asses up and go out and vote. OBAMA 2008.
Listening to this for ten minutes or so, I can't help but feel myself in a powerful moment within history. The sensation is terrifying like a science adventure comic.
Credibility again and again. A balancing between responsability and solidariety is the ingredient of a new US leadership and multitask governance for stability and security. And the ingredient of new cosmoplitan humanism. THANKS BARACK!!
The elections are way ahead of us. None of the candidates would put all their cards on the table right now. The specifics of their policy issues are presented as the primaries draws closer. If you check on Hillary's site, there's basically not a single policy statement, and not even generalities. Yet, the media is giving her a free pass and calling on only Obama to come out with "specifics". Maybe, we should start with the one who claims to be the 'anointed one'.
The role of the U.S. in global affairs, relative to the President's authorities/responsibilities, should be very carefully limited according to the consitution. Not policing, not feeding the world but to manage trade and commerce responsibly. Ron Paul has the wisdom and constitutional acumen to accomplish this. Do not be fooled by a one-note (Iraq War) politicians like McCain, Obama, CLinton et al.
Did you realise that he was addressing, "the chicago council on global affairs" Therefore he is bound to illustrate the vision of his governmet-to-come. That was the purpose for which he was invited to give the speech. Think!
we are not the world police. we should stop pretending to be. hobama sounds like he wants to do something but he still hasnt figured out how yet.
it seems like all a candidate has to do is wave withdrawing from Iraq under our noses and were instantly hypnotized by them. what OTHER issues do you want to see solved? what is "your candidates" policies on these issues? if u like this guy, check out Mike Gravel too, just for comparison.
His point is not that we should be imperialistic, but that we should stop being a sleeping giant and help shape the world. balance is the key not radical conservatism v. radical liberalism, peace v. force. The US has the power to be a world leader and using it to kill Iraqis is irresponsible. Hes not radical and politicians dont have to be radical. thats the whole point hes making. once we realize that there are more than 2 ways to run the country we will all be a lot happier.
I guess you think you are the foremost authority that decides whom is qualified or not. That being said I am convinced, even your mechanic would do a better job then Bush did, or even Hillary if she was prez. Obama speaks common sense. Besides it probably takes someone who is extremely confidant to take action which should help us get outta this freakin rat wheel we call global affairs.
That's bullshit. This "America is the king of the world" rhetoric is such bullshit. We need to be humble! Ugh! Maybe I won't vote for Barack after all.
He's running for president of the country. He's not saying we have to go everywhere and do everything, he's just saying that we're the best and we should lead the world in fixing its problems. It's confidence and patriotism, not imperialistic propaganda.
Obama, What an exceptional speaker! Obama, promotes peace and develops new strategic compelling intelligence in his leadership. Go Obama, you got my vote! and many others!!
I just got goosebumps. Honestly, real talk, this man is the type of leader that only comes by once or twice in a generation. That he is involved in politics domestically and internationally, regardless of whether or not he wins this race, gives me some measure of hope for tomorrow. Obama for president!
Copy, paste, and awake:

Obama... if you don't become president
A) this world is blind.
B) i am willing to bet it would be because of some random glitch in the voting system.

It wouldn't be a "random" glitch. It would be an intentional one, just like in 2000.
