I don't understand how three people can dislike this. The music is great, did you compose it? And the timelapses are all beautiful. The music goes with the timelapses too. Maybe they were deaf and blind; they would have had to be to not appreciate this.

at 0:18 the sun is actually below the horizon. little fact for you. when the lowest point of the sun hits the horizon it is actually below it. air particles reflect light hence why the period of time when the sun sets feels a little longer than usual.

How did you make this video? You took photos like every 30 seconds? And if you did how did you make the photos into a video like what software you used?

@BeppeOwnage he recorded it with a video camera for 3 or 4 hours and then used video editing software to speed it up couple of hundred times.

@ErlendAnderson well of course. ive done it in a fast forward video style too. but he could have tried making a video by making his pictures into videoframes. you know what i mean?

@BeppeOwnage Yes he could've but it requires much more effort and I believe the outcome wouldn't be as good as it is. Besides, he can just do whatever he wants while the camera is recording a movie. But it would be a torture to take photos after each 30 seconds and then compile them into one video by messing with transitions and other stuff. It would be thousands of times easier with recording.

@ErlendAnderson well thats true. but you should check mockmoons timelapses. he does them by taking photos. and you dont have to mess with transitions if you have an editing program that can make photos into video frames.

This reminds me of how the Earth will be as hot as Venus in a few billion years, and we'll all be gone . . . depressing isn't it? How we are the only planet in our solar system that has THIS but will eventually be engulfed by the sun as a Red Giant. And then the moon is moving away 1.6 inches from Earth a year. Darn it.

Hey mate, I am a Media Production student in Canberra and made my first attempt at a time lapse sunset the other day but seeing this blew me away. The exposure you manage to get with the sun being as bright and defined as it is against the dark colouring of the backdrops is incredible. Really nicely done :)

how do you get the sun to look solid and not just a bright light? I have tried messing around with the exposure, white balance turned the ND filter on and nothing helps, do you know what im missing?

Just 12 pictures, every 5th second... But I would try it with more pictures. I jused my old, small Cam. But now I have a SONY A350 with a remote Control, so I can take better shots. And this week, I will get a Tamron70-300 lens.

To get a smooth motion you need to have video with 30 frames per second so you sure need a whole lot of pictures ^^

I usually takes about 300 so I at least get a 10 second video sequence.
