  • i enjoyed this vid

  • How do you Pick and Place objects in Dynamic Simulation?

  • I'm guessing the animation was done entirely in Inventor Studio, rather than Dynamic Simulation. Did you use positional representations or individually driven constraints/parameters?

  • @nannerdw I am curious to this as well

  • @nannerdw Pos reps would have probably been the best way to go

  • I made a pegboard! im in 7th grade... and its not as hard as it seem... if i can figure it out of all people :p

  • technology is a privilege

  • This is retarded I need to learn how to do this shit I have no clue how to even build a wheel.

  • @gianni820 Draw circle using circle tool. Finish sketch. Extrude circle. WHEEL

  • @TheChris1696 Thank You ima try it.

  • @gianni820 If you want the grip on the tire, you have to create one grip with the sketch tool, extrude it and use the circular pattern tool.

  • This is retarded I need ot learn how to do this shit I have no clue how to even build a wheel.

  • Thanks for the great tutorial! Visit the NXTutorials website for more cool tutorials on NX 8.

  • This is awesome! im still trying to figure it out!

  • here's another FREAKIN AMAZING robot animation - watch?v=8nGIWVOGQMw

  • this is easier than it looks ;)

    good work btw

  • Hello guys can someone sell me autodesk invetion second hand. I am from africa aaaand need help living in israael. Be blessed

    Pastor Joel Dobry

  • have you the files of robots design??

  • Look like a robotic chicken to me.

  • anyone who has actually worked with inventor, knows how complex and time consuming this would actually be

  • Good work. The movement seems a bit rigid. However, that may be just how the machines work. Love the detail in the video. Good job.

  • How much work does it take to make it move?

  • @TheMidstOfIt

You just snap your fingers and it works.

  • How much time did this project take you?

  • @CannibalTr0ll se toma dependiendo del proyecto dependiendo delo k este asiendo puede tomar desdde unmez hasta años xd

  • A ja napisze po polsku ;-) (in Polish)

Fajowki filmik. Z jakim programie go skonstruowałeś?

  • A ja napisze po polsku. ;-)

Fajny filmik. W jakim programie go zrobiłeś?

  • Ok so how long did it take

    I want the truth LOL

  • Where can I download Inventor ? Really need it !

  • @WeslieJJ94 Don't think you're creating complex simulations within hours.

But if you really need it, you can just download a trial version (which is the full version for a time period of 30 days) at autodesk.com

  • @gunblade64 Ok, thank you.

  • How the... Where the... You talented people are creeping me out.

  • You should make a video where you show how to do that

  • dude nice work! this looks amazing

  • what version is this?

  • I could hardly even draw a fridge...

  • wait, when i render stuff in inventor 2011, i can only select "shaded view with lines" and that looks crappy.. how did this guy make it look so realistic with just inventor?

someone explain to me what i need to make an animation like this..

  • @Spunn3d .unless im missing something, just scroll down in the materials list which is the very small box at the very top of the ribbon in black normally. There are loads of materials, even water and bubbles!!!!

  • autoderp is obsolete cad....

  • Can someone explain to me please what the difference between autodesk maya, cad, inventor and 3ds max? I downloaded maya but im not sure how they're all different. What are these all used for?

  • @beastlydude762: ahmm.. as far as i concerned.. autoCAD is used for designing esp. in engineering.. machine design, architecture, etc. autodesk inventor is used for animating 3d models that was done in autoCAD or in other software (if it is compatible)... Maya is used for high level 3D modeling and animation... This software can be used esp in making a 3D films.. just like avatar.. 3D max is for 3D enhancement presentation.. it is more on 3D documentation and presentation.. that's my opion.. :D

  • i have a question..

is inventor really that much better than solid works because i never seen much bigs assemblies in solid.. really all inventor ass look so much intensive then solid or just .. i use solid 2010 and i know in experience that solid can do some pretty advanced things.. so i tried to use inventor and to me looks so awkwardly..

  • @crazyfox266

Inventor was created mainly for educational purposes. Solid works surpasses inventor by a factor of like 50. In my opinion Autodesk lowered their standards when they came out with inventor.

  • @streak05

You can achieve with Inventor any model that was done in SolidWorks. Why do you need to make a difference between them? I have used both.

  • Awesome!!

  • We use Autodesk inventor at my High School, it's probably the best piece of software I've ever used. I find it extremely useful.

  • what kind of high school teaches stuff like this? In my school the most advanced thing we ever did with a CAD style program was design a small wall, nothing that moves.

  • @Scerab Depends where you live. Here in Utah there is a thing called JATC And it takes up half your high school block everyday either your first two or last two classes everyday for the whole year. I attended 2 years of it and all they really teach is this and engineering theory.

  • @TS0AF That would be amazing, the closest we get is construction and a bit of electrical, really a horrible system.

  • @Scerab I am a high school teacher north of Pittsburgh, PA. I teach AutoCAD, Inventor, and a little of 3DS Max. Unfortunately I was never really trained on these 3d programs, even though I just graduated college in '06. A fellow teacher told me to look online so I have been trying to teach myself first and then the kids. The licensing costs about $4k a year, but its well worth it!

  • I'm selling Autodesk Inventor licenses cheap for $30. If you want one send me a message.

  • ha i know for a fact that takes for ever to make i didnt it with a short lil name and it took me a few hours but this is totely epic and would take a a while lol xD

  • I love this program! im in 6th grade and already learning how to use this program in tech class. A project im working on rite now is building a computer. im making every indivdual part and assembling them, but i've only been useing this program for a year, but so far i love it

  • technology today is just amazing

  • Very nice! That's the only reason I like Inventor. I use AutoCAD to design, it feels so much easier to me, then open it in Inventor for animation. 3DS Max works, too. :D. Five STARS.

  • Ive never tried doing complex animations in inventor just simple ones

  • Comment removed

  • I am a sophomore and i use inventor in my engineering classes and it is the most amazing design program i have ever seen. My teacher gave me the program for free so now i can use it at home and do my own designs in my free time. Very useful tool in my opinion.

  • @waveboarder608 wanna give me that program for free?

  • i would, but unfortunately i cant. my teacher gave me a special download code thing and its only good for one download. you might be able to get a 30-day trial or something off their website. google it or something haha

  • @waveboarder608 Great! Are you studying mechanical engineering?

  • @NutsandGuts im studying a lot of different types of engineering. there's so many to choose from haha. right now im looking into computer and mechanical engineering with the autodesk inventor program

  • @waveboarder608 So you're not in college?

  • @NutsandGuts no, im only in 10th grade. I'm in the engineering academy at my school and this year i am in a principles of engineering class and an intro to engineering class. Next year i will be in a digital electronics class and a computer integrated manufacturing class.

  • with a nice computer, can you control stuff like this in real-time with Inventor? Say, with external controls (like a gamepad/etc)? That would be very cool.

  • must've taken hours....

  • this is niiiceeee :D

  • thanks for this

    i need ProENG PART anlysis

    plzz help mee

  • does AutoCad really simulate? like it includes calculating the weight, mass or strength of an object, or does it only help in the design?? thnx

  • you can set mass of parts and then write macros. if thats what u mean.

  • ahh i c.. thanx for the enlightenment

  • depends on the cad

    autodesk inventor professional does

  • Nice!

Does anyone know what specifications (minimum) would need a workstation to properly run inventor with a model like this one?

  • it doesnt take too much processing power to render complex models because its not done in real time, so it renders frame by frame then peices it back together afterwards for you to export as a video file :)

  • At school, our three year old dells run it fine. so about 1 gig of ram, stock video, 1-5g of hard disk.

  • Wow, im taking DDP where we have to use autodesk and I would cry of joy if I can make something as good as this

  • Design and Drawing for Production? No worries, it will come with time. It was the same for me with programs as AutoCAD and 3D Studio during my college days. Youngsters will grasp it quickly since Inventor is a user friendly program. Good luck.

  • how long did this take

  • this is even better then lego technic

  • man that's exactly what I was thinking! Can't wait to play around with it

  • The motors are not stepper motors but either AC or brushless DC servo motors. They also have holding brakes in case of power loss on some models. The gearheads are all very low to zero backlash types. The main gearhead on the base is typically some kind of harmonic drive type.

  • robot make auto must be very cheaper price,,,

human make auto must be normal price

  • actually looking at it again the cylinder in the back may be a safety feature to stop the arm if electric power is lost. cause there's a step motor that looks like it controls the main arm

  • actually the cylinder in the back is hydraulic, for moving the main arm up and down. The rest is powered by geared or timing belt electric motors with sprockets, ball screws, cams ect. and the die punch or riveter is probably air powered. i prefer pro engineer myself

  • i made this stuff at school

  • i have seen industrial robots of this kind in action, and it still wonder what the purpose of that big cylinder on their backs are?

  • that must be the cilinder (forgot name) that contains fluids to move the piston that moves the arm.

like air suspension in a car.

  • You mean a hydraulic actuator/cylinder? No i dont think so, these robots arent hydraulic. Those black/red electric stepper motors power these robots .

  • How does it compare with SolidWorks?

  • wich is the name of the program

  • autodesk inventor? -doh-

  • good. It's about car manufacturing, right?

  • wow youre good.

  • Awesome job!!

  • zabar dast!

  • very good

  • gsfdgh

  • Easy.

  • Your mom is easy.

  • Psss !!!

    Nice work here !!! :)

  • jeez that must have taken a while, im making one pulley and its taking me forever

  • Pouroso!!! Come si fa con inventor a fare tutto questo???

  • como se hace eso

  • is auto cad better than 3ds max

  • they're two different things

autocad, thogh it can render and create 3d models, remains a CAD program

  • where do u download this software please i want to know

  • torrents...

  • who can tell me this animation made in which pattern ?in assemble ,in express

  • is you want this program, then pay 5000-10000 dollars to buy, it aint free, or get from torrent site, life aint fair

  • it can be free if you get it through your school, like i did

  • Yeah my teacher told me I can do that too... but I havent yet

  • the tools in inventor for rendering ar'nt the good really, 3Ds max is better :D

  • They are used for completely different purposes. You're not going to use 3DS max for engineering a manufactured product. Inventor is to 3DS max as Photoshop is to Paint when it comes to development.

  • ummm hello i mean RENDERING not DESIGNING parts/ components read first dude befor jumping the gun.

  • Nice...I love fanuc robots...even when they're not real

  • I am in IED right now.

  • Yea I had i.e.d. 2 yrs ago.

  • Hello, do You know an Delmia's IGRIP??

It is powerfull software, do You know where I can get it??

  • does anybody on this page have introduction to engineering and design

  • i do

  • im not in intro but am in the regular class

  • Yea I had i.e.d. 2 yrs. ago.

  • This must be uber hard, and i can barely even get a train to move, lol (still working on getting the wheels to move)

of course, it is only my first year with it =P

  • furreal me 2 im working on a car project i cant even get it moving on the track

  • First off, this video is amazing. If i ever make anything close to that ill make a video too. Second of all i am using inventor in my class, but i want a copy (or trial version) at home. The actual saftware is... wait for it .. $5300!! So buying it is out. And i dont want to fill out the subscription on autodesk website. Anyone got any suggestions?

  • Go download it for free

  • I tried.. where?. But i figured it out. i need my teacher to send me a URL and it says i can download student versions. I wont be makin anything like this vid, so student version is OK for me.

  • If you buy the book, Introduction to Graphics Communications for Engineers 3rd Ed. (McGraw Hill) by: Gary R. Bertoline, ISBN: 978-0-07-295084-7., it's only like 60 bucks and it comes with the software.

  • have you tried torrents

  • hehehe shush ^^

  • I know that took some very tidious work!!!

  • omg it looks amazing

  • COOL..EXPERT!!!

  • Looks great. My company is headed towards this type of video production using scanning. I would like to talk with you about how long it took you to get to this point as well as some possible employment opportunities. Either as a consultant , full time employee, or sub contractor. Please contact me....some of our current scan projects are posted. We plan on using this technology in factories also.

  • Cool. I'm not that good at inventor yet but I am getting the hang of it. I have some videos on my profile if you want to check them out

  • We use this in class and so far we have made, designed and animated Transformers, Jets, and Dragsters

  • If you go to Autodesk now you can get a free trial called Inventor LT now.

  • We have this program at our high school as a class, it can get pretty irritating at times, but it a lot more enjoyable than some other classes and it makes you feel acomplished.

  • I have this in my 8th grade Tech class...

  • wow i'm dissapointed as i just started learning about this program my sophmore year...in the engineering academy

  • I worked with this in my 5th Grade Solid Modeling Class.

  • if you want to use this software and you are in highschool you might have an option:

if your highschool has a engineering course"Project Lead The Way" then they use this software

If you dont then you could probualy work it out with your district to get a program like this running because the government pays for it.

  • where i can download this software ....?

  • google "autodesk" and it will give you the official website for the first website. It does cost money to buy it and download it though.

  • Kewl, this is how drafters do "FMVs".

  • thayr working too slow

  • can inventor import 3ds and lwo files? the reason i ask is because ive made a few 3d cars and stuff and now my dads mate said he could get me one cos he uses this stuff. i hope it does cos inventor looks amazing!

  • Which version of Autodesk was this? I use v7 and it definitely doesnt allow animation this advanced . . . was it hard to set all those different kinematic motions?

  • Its either 11 or 2008....I cant really tell.

  • Catia All the way! Expensive and slow but sooo good!

  • cool thing realy rocks !!!

  • I also prefer Autodesk to SolidEdge as it is easier to use. However, both are still useful in helping designers to visualize their products more clearly compared to the 2D AutoCAD. =D

  • I LOVE inventor. But my place uses solid ege, which does have some better aspects. But inventor is so easier to use.

  • Cool

  • Inventor Studio rocks!
