True. I've not seen an elegant folk singer before Shaju. He is the dearest singer of our 3 and 1/2 year old son who knows Shaju by name and by his song "Jawl Chekitay".
এই গানটা আমি আগে কয়েকবার শুনেছি, কখনোই ভালো লাগেনি। ছোটবেলায় এই গানটা নিয়ে হাসাহাসি করতাম মনে আছে। অনেকটা দূর্ঘটনার মতোই সাজুর গানটা শুনলাম। মনে হলো গানটা আগে কেউ গায়নি। মনে হচ্ছে এই গানটা নতুন এবং শুধুমাত্র সাজুর গাওয়ার জন্য বানানো হয়েছে। এমন, শক্তিশালী, তরুন এবং আবেগে ভরপুর একটা কন্ঠ যে পল্লী গানের জন্য উৎসর্গ করেছে দেখে শান্তি পেলাম। বস্তাপচা নতুন নতুন ব্যান্ড এন্ড বিদেশী গান নকল করার হাস্যকর চেষ্টায় যেসব গান এখন ইন্টারনেটে আমাদের শুনতে হয় তার মাঝে এমন একটা শিল্পি এবং মরুভূমিতে মরুদ্যান
