Oh, man, I love those hatchets. They look wonderful. I want to forge some old school hatchets like that. I have some "Pignut Hickory" which is the toughest subspecies of Hickory and want to use that for the handles.

That's a really good axe, handmade ax head, hickory shaft, a real quality axe, and ofcourse it is SWEDISH. I am soon going to buy this axe but with the 65 cm shaft.

I am very interested in doing some video series showing an Axe used as a multipurpose tool for food prep, (hunting and skinning I cannot do 'vegetarian') and all round uses as a quality hatchet was done in the old days. Also the leather pouch is very nice to collect things in. I'm keeping all the leather I can find (even from old shoes or boots) to make things myself.

die alte schaut richtig gut aus. mir gefallt sie besser als die neue...
habe zu erst gedacht das holz wurde die 7 monate in schnee und wasser nicht aushalten. aber guck da es tut sich gut anstellen.

That 'Vintage' look is really nice Sepp.
Its a great Axe and someday I will own one myself. Its on my list of things to buy when I start working fulltime again.

Your axe has a really nice "old" patina now I like it!
Also the leather pouch is very nice to collect things in. I'm keeping all the leather I can find (even from old shoes or boots) to make things myself.

good video Sepp as usual. by the way the medicine pounch as used by the Native americans is a small pouch worn around the neck and contained small totem items known as medicine. medicine in native american terms is different to our term of medicine. nice axes will be doing a video soon on doing what is know as london stocl finish on the hafts
